This is by far the most complete video about the places in Romania, well done, lots of work, thank you very much for the promotion, greetings from Romania!
Why? everyone here is going into other countryes to live, in a few years this is gonna be a ghost country and the neighbors will share to eachother the empty land. Something like that about the faith of Romania : /
great I enjoy to travel in Romania by your video. wonderful places to see, a lot to learn from u. keep travelling and film it. graet thanks I would like to visit Romania after i watch this video.
@@rampage_roar8056 Maybe she is not from the EU, did you think of that? Open your eyes, there are people that take our country into consideration when it comes to work. The world is bigger than the West.
For someone who pretends to give advice on traveling I don't think you understand the value of money. I'm from U.S. and it costs me over $ 30 just to see a movie with my SO, at my local theater. That's just 2 tickets, a small popcorn and 2 Pepsi/Cola. Paying half that to cross one of the most iconic roads, or 10% of that to be in a cable car over a city in Transylvania is really no comparison. You have your values wrong.
not everybody has the purchaising power of an american. value of money is subjective to where you are from and what you earn, so quit being condescending. YOU have the values of a guy from one of the welthiest country in the world. to my point of view 30 dollars equals to 6 meals at the restaurant ! I would never in pay that much to go see a movie
Thank you so, so, so very much, Charles, for this video. It captured me and I couldn't leave for about 2 hours. Thank you very much for promoting Romania but, you know, you have to come back for part two :-) There are still so many beautiful historical regions to visit, like Bukovina, where I live, and its monasteries. I would be honored to have you as my guest. Once again, thank you for promoting Romania and all the beautiful places in the world!
@@Diytravelshow That would be a little difficult, I was married, got divorced and ever since have got experiences, nice ones, but nothing like wife material. Maybe if we join forces... :-)
You are amazing! I really appreciate the quality of the film and the fact that you showed scenary both from the winter and summer time. I think you captured the essence of tourism in Romania, and this is coming from an actual romanian living there. I'd add Sighișoara and Maramureș as nice places to visit when coming here. Sorry for the mishaps you had in the mountains. Indeed summer time is the best time to visit this country. Keep posting these wonderful videos! :)

Great video! I watched it over a few days bits by bits. I have just finished watching! It was a great experience. For some parts I thought I was in Alaska 😀. Beautiful cities and great nature sights...the Carpathians held the Romanian people together and kept the otomans away, they couldn t cross it...and Vlad Tepes of course 😀! There are more great sights on the other side of Romania like Danube Delta and the Mud Volcanos in Buzau...Constanta port city at the Black Sea, Northen Moldova ...and so many balnear resorts all over the country. Thank you for your time and effort to show Romania. I always wanted to say that Bucharest is not only Old Town and down town, the outskirts are great and new developing living areas with many expensive houses and buildings. Great job Charles !!!
It is wonderful living style, it seems there is no much pollution from new technologies. It reminds me our livelihoods when I was a little boy in Tibet. In India at Tushita meditation center I met a beautiful Romania girl in 1997 or 1998 but unfortunately I have lost her contact due to something happened to my email. Her name is Caroline. Maybe the spelling of name is not right! I promised her to keep our contact! Hopefully they keep their traditional style of living with nature. It seems physically hard but I am sure mentally much more happy than highly developed countries with technology. God's blessings to those people forever.
Thanks for sharing. It is very good travel blog. I love it has lots of history, cost, opening time, and other additional tips and information. There is one very small suggestion if you break the video into several parts instead one long video. That would be great!
Charles is an odd guy. Constantly complaining about totally reasonable prices; going in the middle of the low-season and complaining about things being closed; and then to top it off, he drives into the mountains unprepared, get his Audi stuck in a bit of snow and calls the emergency services (in true Torontonian-style). Hats off, brother, really enjoyed the video.
@@Diytravelshow i enjoyed that part where you get lost....i admire your determination to still go there despite all the obstacles...but don t go off the beaten paths in winter in Romania, can be dangerous in the mountains!
Only watched, 24 minutes, but as a romanian who lived and traveled a lot of southern part and mountain side, I think you don't realise the prices are very low compared to other european countries, like for a 100 km train journey in UK , you can pay over 70$. As for admission tickets some are a bit pricier, but most of them are not, so you probably pay 10$ for Bran castle but 2 $ for 5 other places. Anyway there are a lot of alternatives for trekking the mountain in Busteni, we usually go by car as you can do it during wintertime if it not snowing a lot, as well there are a some attractions in Busteni that you missed, or did not know about. anyway if anyone wants to visit, probably asking a romanian is the easiest way.

I was really surprised that you found things expensive. I find Romania cheaper than anywhere else I have been. A very nice meal is affordable, no need to eat crap. I am from the UK and appreciate the low costs when in Romania. It was funny in places and good to see how helpful the police were. But travelling to places like that in the winter in Romania is a risk. You didnt sound like you did much research before hand.

I am planning to go there next year and there are some places to which I wasn't were sure if they were really worthy. Your video will help me a lot in my future planning. Beer 1$ per bottle, wine 4$ per bottle (good stuff to )
