its actually better to roll them one after another because when you have 2+ sheets of paper being rolled around something, the further you roll the wider it gets so its diameter is bigger with every turn so when you have the 2 sheets rolling in the same turn, the bottom sheet will be trying to match the length of top sheet but cant so it scrunches up leaving air pockets. it basically ruins the tube
@@accipiternisus649 Commercial tube makers vary the paper length and thickness to achieve the desired wall thickness, they never use more than 1 sheet ;) If HGP`s theory was true, rolling with a single sheet of thick paper would result in the top half shearing off as its being rolled ;) The thickest paper i use is for 6lb (1.5" id) motor tubes. Wow these paper tube are insane !!!
great tutorial, thanks

How many layers of paper do you need for a rocket motor tube? thank you, Mark F
Спасибо за информацию
Could you use this to make a rocket motor with?
Yes but use dextrin as aditional glue.It make hard tubes
Someone please reply. Can I use A4 size paper or craft paper?
Use pure virgin kraft paper and a high solids glue for the strongest tube.
To thick for rocket engines but fountains great.
That glue is?
Why not use regular Elmers white glue or epoxy or any strong glue? By the way, video was awesome, just awesome.
Cost mainly, the bulk of the strength comes from the paper so its better to spend the cash on quality (non recycled) kraft paper than expensive glue.
How to make glue
I wouldnt recommend that paper or glue for strong tubes. You should roll all 3 sheets at once, not one after another.
