Weird 2001 Trooper Hard Start Issues (Sometimes)

It's flooded. Push the pedal to the floor before cranking. After you turn the key, let the pedal up. It will start right away.

My fuel cap on my truck didn’t let my tank breath and there was so much pressure in the tank it was messing with somthing on mornings when it would start hard not one turn like usual I would go to the gas tank and pull off the cap let it breathe , now when I have a full tank of gas it doesnt do it at all starts fine , untill about 1/4 tank it starts doing that hard start

Probably bad timing or Crank sensor

We never solved it. I did lot of research and believe the cam shaft pin broke throwing the timing off. We had to let it go since no one really knew.
