- "Between the whole nine-car gathering, if I had to pick one car from our 2024 Performance Car of the Year test to daily drive for the next five years, it would be the Porsche 911 Carrera T. Everything about the Carrera T, particularly a lower-spec one with a stick, is just right." - Matt Farah
For those that want the true Porsche experience, a manual 911 T is the one to get. Hands down.
Have a manual 991.2 T and agree.
Rear wheel steer
Light weight glass
Light weight battery
Sport exhaust
Sport Crono
Rear seat delete
10 mm lower
PDK over manual(faster)
…Worth every penny!
The old saying is still true today, The best car would be Designed by Italians, Engineered by Germans, and Built by Japanese... or just buy American!
Give it a tune and I would say yeah
911 like to understeer
can't these guys afford a real test driver??
P0 tires are not all season tires….they are summer only tires, if you wanna make it in the big time buddy, get your stuff together
short answer: NO.
The T is designed as the pure 911 of the range. It is a lot more rare than the GT3s. It is highly acclaimed by all journalists. You know what this means to its value down the road.
Who cares if it’s “more rare” than the gt3, the gt3 is a better car in every single way.
@@SparklingWalrusok
As a person who has owned both, I disagree. The gt3 is a better track car, but it's not good on the road. It's also hard to use all the power due to its speed. Therefore you don't get to experience what it can do unless you are on a track, which for most people, isn't often. And it's almost double the cost. I'm not saying it's not great, I'm saying it's a purpose built car. Carrera T you can use almost all of it, all of the time.

Thank you sir - I love mine even when driving slow!
The elephant in the room ….. drum roll please ! The problem with this 128k Porsche 911 is something called the 128k Z06 . This Porsche would get absolutely left for dead on any road course on earth !
I’ll still take the T with a manual and a tune.
a real Chevy man speaking from heart lol
@@Bobby-uf1yuI’m just speaking facts !
@@YumboYack2521here we go with the ‘ tune’ crowd !! 🤡🤡🤡
Sorry but no Chevy for me
Did Matt sell someone a broken globe or something? Why the hate for him?
Why the hate for Matt in these comments?
For some of us who know him around Southern California, we can tell you that he’s not a genuine person, he fronts a different personality for his videos and his whole premise is built on lies.
So much for the weight savings?
How did you come up with that $128,000 figure?
I cannot seem to keep my (992) Carrera T build _under_ $150k!
It is safe to say that I have been driving my Porsche contact absolutely nuts!! (Pun intended) Now that the 992.2 gen is quickly approaching, I think I will delay my decision until I see what the new version has to offer. Pending the allocation process. IYKYK.
Nevertheless, I greatly appreciate any and all content pertaining to the 992 Carrera T. Especially based here in the US which is an entirely different car culture all together.
Stay classy my friends.
He’s referring to the base price with no options.
When I’m on the track, sliding is what I’m trying not to do.
3200 is a pig historically for Porsches. Come on!
rear engine = exceptional traction out of corners... until all of a sudden it doesn't
How do the brakes hold up lap after lap?
The car is more like 400 hp plus - and Farah seems really nice in these videos but meet him at a cars and coffee and he is not so friendly… He really seems to have a stick in the wrong place. He is right about the 911 T - a beautiful car and a wonderful car to drive. The c8 feels like your steering a snow blower - wide and cumbersome on the road - and cramped inside because they used up all the interior space with all the lumpy exterior body design.if your over 6’ the 911 is the sports car of choice…
Back in the day he took me, a stranger, for a drive in his Fiesta ST the SoCal mountains. Before or after, I can’t remember which, we smoked a j. We had a ball.
I couldn’t stomach the 15k and 25k ADM my local Porsche dealership wanted for a new Cayman and 911 respectively. I don’t have an established relationship so they couldn’t possibly sell at MSRP. I waited and managed to snag an allocation for a 2024 C8 Z06 at MSRP. I guess good things do come to those that wait.
Well, they’re not asking ADM now, except for GT products, at least at my dealer here in Pasadena, CA.
Same here, look around out of state
Matt sucks. Why him?
at twice the price of the DH :)
4:27 damnthe nonono he knew hahaha but it's worth it if U mod and tune it plus ifbu love the style and thrill
cant wait to get my T
me too !!
You guys are always so late to bring out videos on cars. All other UA-cam channels had their reviews on this our weeks ago. If you're not one of the first, your views are going to suffer.
They make their $ selling ads, may not be worried about views, but it is a business and making content costs $.
911 has a good turns on curves
car of the year! and im gettin one!
Yes.
Came to see the Porsche, saw it was Farah and went to the next video.
“SORRY IF THAT SOUNDS SOCIALIST MAN!” Yeah, he’s absolutely a stain and just seems like an absolute tool.
? What’s the problem with him?
I did the same.
130k for only 379hp is silly.
Porsche horsepower is different. I have a 992 T and it's faster than my old 500hp mustang.
You should get a challenger bra
@@TheHoosiers2008 or like 30 other cars that offer more performance for the same or less money
@@Jfromes1 Certainly not unless you think performance is 0-60, which you probably do.
@@TheHoosiers2008 I like my performance cars not to be slow yes lol
Editor at large. I’ll say
>track ready dark horse
Which is half the price and twice the size
That's how low for a competition you need to go with 150k Porsche LOL
Similarly to DH priced C8 would be more accurate comparison. Way more comfort, proper sound, and faster
Matt... have you don't this with the Z? Can't remember but what a great video!
Why isn’t Jethro doing these tests? He is far more capable as a driver and journalist than Farah will ever be.
Why the hate for Matt? He always seems to be pretty consistent with lap times not far from the pro drivers, has race experience, so I don’t see where the complaint comes from.
@@joeracer302Probably Tesla fanboys and/or people who turned on him after the Cammisa beef, which was admittedly cluncky on Matt's side. But he admitted his mistake so idk 🤷♂️
Why doesn’t car and driver use a pro racer for lightening lap? Because they want a representation of what someone that is pretty damn good on a track vs a pro who not one of us is
They would make a good team…But no problem with Matt. He can talk and drive very well.
@@steveo8424because the people that are buying them are not pro drivers. He did fine
Overpriced
That 3,200 pounds Matt quoted as the 992’s weight is a bit optimistic. He had to be referring to DRY weight
