Let's make some mixed media canvases together. I will show you and teach you how to create a beautiful composition on a canvas. We will paint, dry gesso to achieve ombre effect. Using acrylic paints, metal embellishments and some junk findings. We will use recycled items for our mixed media collage. Frozen looking canvas for beginners, advanvced... for everyone.

I am not finding my post, so I guess it did not save. I mentioned that I see a cute wiggly worm in the teal piece if I have the sewing bobbins be the eyes and the little flower as the mouth. They are both lovely, but the teal one is my favorite because of the cute worm. Please, never stop being chatty. That is part of why I keep coming back to your channel. You make me feel so at home. I enjoy your chats as much as I enjoy your projects. The metal pieces that you added were perfect. Those round sewing machine metal circles are called bobbins. When you put them together it reminded me of a little owl sitting in a tree hollow.
It's usually late at night when I am watching your videos. I love watching when no one is around because I'm usually laughing out loud. I love watching your creative process. You take random stuff and make it beautiful. I'm learning to not stop before I put color / paints to something. I've tossed so many things that probably would have been really cool if I had just kept going. I started watching your videos several years ago. Your canvases and working with sprays and journals are what got me hooked! I love watching you make cards and things but these videos are my favorite.

Yeah!! Breakin' the BLANK!! I had some Jane paint and had to take it back. There was these fine little cracks in the tube that you couldn't see until you opened it and started to use them. I was so sad. I haven't bought her paints since. I love them too. The fine cracks were on the sides close to the top of the tube where it is melted shut. I think my favorite part of the paint is the dry brush painting of the white gesso after the colors. It gives it a misty hazy look that I just adore. Your canvas's are just gorgeous! Thank you for BREAKIN' THE BLANK!! BTW, you are never too silly!! Thanks.
I enjoy your videos so much that I put you on while I’m doing other things. For instance I’m cooking and while my chicken is boiling for a dip, I’m finishing a birthday card for my sister. You have a very soft enjoyable voice so the women who complained really should find someone else to watch. You’re wonderful! Keep being and doing you!

Marta, I had to pause the video to make a comment. My grown daughter told me about your channel and the works you create a couple of months ago. So I thought I would give one of your videos a try. I was hooked by the end of the first video and have been trying to watch ALL your videos, new and old. Not only is your work gorgeous but your "chit chat" is so inviting. You make it seem as if we are all in your craft room with you, busy working on our projects and visiting at the same time. I am so glad you invited that other person to watch someone else because I wouldn't want you to change a thing about your format!

I love your piece so far and you’re right this is a symbiotic relationship and I don’t hope your channel doesn’t evaporate into thin air any time soon. I had to comment real quick after seeing your Jane purple paint. The same exact thing happened to me. I bought some paint from Michaels because they had a half off sale of all of Jane’s old line. And when I got home I realized that the pink tube had opened at the seam at the top and the purple was completely dried out! I was so mad but I went back to the store the next day and they gave me new paints to replace. But I shouldn’t have had to return. 😡 I did hear that American Crafts were aware of this and have remedied the situation.

I enjoy your style of creating, but I also loved getting to see a bit of Poland with you on holiday and to journey through your pregnancy with you. after watching your you tube videos I look at everything as a possible canvas piece! I work at Hobby Lobby so I am privy to a lot of stuff but I have to be careful, otherwise I will have no money, lol! I have some wonderful calendars that work well plus some magazine pages. I have accumulated a lot of elements, now time to start my project!

Again I press like before watching lol. The $1 Tree in the states has canvas panels and many sizes of canvases now. They also have packs of twine. This lessons the stress bc if u mess up just $1. I just gesso very well.

Great canvases. How you can manage to do TWO at a time is beyond me....you create miracles. When Jane Davenport's set (the one your showing) released, they discovered the tubes were splitting at the seams...Jane had done a short video showing the split, but to be aware that the paint was fine but the tubes had a slight defect that was caught and subsequently replaced. She showed how she wrapped her tubes that split with pretty washi tape. I tried to find her little video and Michael's recall notice for you but they must have been removed. I wrapped my tubes with washi tape (all of mine had the split) and they are still working fine and that was over a year ago (can't remember when they released). Bottom line...check the rest of that set for the split so air doesn't get in and dry them out. TFS. Bonnie
