I have a glue gun with a gold glue stick and never thought of cutting it to feed my clear stick. So cleaver! As usual your work is inspiring and chocked full of wonderfully useful information ❤️❤️
so cool! this reminds me of a story book my dad would read us when we were kids. it was about going on a walk in the woods at night in the snow/winter. How the moon was there to comfort and not scare depending on how you felt. The animals and their noises were frightening to the child in the forest until their dad showed them the cute diffferent things making sound. this is very neat way to do a piece. love the colros

I've done this type of art years ago. Never peeled it off & then glued it to another place, though. I've painted over the glue. I used toilet paper rolls & bent them, glue them & painted over the glue to make the 'knuckles' on bamboo.
Looked like a mess when the paint went on didn’t think you were coming back from that but you did………lovely finish and love your confidence in yourself to get to the end in such style. 😊
My first textured painting was a llama. I had gesso, but didn’t think to use it. Instead I mixed dry wall spackling with PVA glue, and titanium white paint. The two, textured paintings of llamas turned out great! I was so surprised because I’ve never done anything like that before, and I am an amateur.
I giggled watching you cut the stick. I’ve let my gun warm up just a bit then I can pull the stick out. Safer for me as my hands and sharp objects don’t get along well lol. I’m sorry I missed the live I’m in the midst of a project that, isn’t going as planned. A hair dryer works well to resoften the glue. This piece is my favorite this year lol. But I love the depth you got and all the wonderful techniques i.e. trees, snow etc.

You❤ are just incredible. You use some many techniques which brings out your amazing talents. You just don’t do fluid art and let gravity blow or swipe randomly whichever way it may land but actually build on it. That is true artistry. 😊

I watch your videos all the time. I enjoy doing dimensional mixed media paintings as well, however I paint faces. I am always inspired by your work and say that I want to try to do a piece similar to something you’ve made, however my use of the glue gun has been a disaster. You make using a glue gun seem so easy. Perhaps at some point I will be successful at using the glue gun and make something that I can be proud of. Until then I’ll just keep watching you do your thing. Great work!

I have a tip for you as far as using the glue you can put wax paper or parchment paper over the glue and slightly touch it with the hope this will help

you could use cosmetic sponge applicators for highlights - almost like finger tips and lots of sizes and shapes - or modify them as needed
