I love the project Marta, it has to be one that I favor most out of the hundreds you've done. It sickens my heart to hear that someone has copied your work and not credited you for it. I had a similar incident happen to me, many years ago. I am a writer, and I had been sharing my work on a site, long since shut down, and someone literally stole my writing and attempted to get it published, ah but alas, I had the foresight to copyright it before uploading online. I can totally understand and identify with you being "pissed off". I completely agree with THE1andOnlyHairfish, this person may have taken your idea, but never will anyone be able to copy the essence that is you! And you are fabulous!!! A fabulous steampunk piece! Beautiful subtle colours that set off the elements very well, really interesting layers and textures and a cheeky focal point. A lovely artwork. I think you will find with the 'copier' man that eventhough he wants credit for his work you have many, MANY followers on your social media who will recognise it as 'yours' instead. He is only copying your 'old' work but you are the innovator of all your new works....every time! Your viewers know the difference.

You know, I always credit artists for their inspiration, for the hard work they do. This is a basic, human thing to do. Sadly, so many people are not like that. Lately I've done some doodling and I was afraid to put it online so nobody can steal it, lol! Yes it's awful when they get the praise and give no credit. This has been going on for years online. I remember when it all started (I was moderator of a graphics art forum for 14 years), just gradually and now a flood. Very unmotivating, and also affects artists' livelihood. Sorry but you are right to be pissed off and take it personally and I do hope you say something to these people. Stand up for your beautiful gift ❤🤗

Such a lovely canvas! Vent away Marta...seriously... I've seen UA-cam channel's that you can tell are copied from you & a couple of other people. I see them & get frustrated for you & the other people that are copied because it's easy to see where the original idea came from. 🤨 We see it though & know where the credit should go. I love that you used watercolors. I recently did a canvas & used them as well because I didn't have the color I wanted in any other medium. Beautiful work as always! 🦋💖😘

I understand the rip off Marta. I make jewelry and I see some that make the exact thing. Maybe in a different color but that's ok. I know mine is better...lol Beautiful inspiration today. I use the metallic pastes more then you do in different colors with the watercolors....but yours is perfect!! See you next time.

Hi Marta! Personally, I don't like Steampunk, it just doesn't do it for me! However your canvas is really beautiful! It's not overcrowded with metal machine bits everywhere, it still breathes! It's still light and airy if you see what I mean.:D Regarding your vent, I totally get it. What that guy did is stealing! He took your idea and is taking the credit for it! Absolutely wrong! And as you mentioned, those thieves, do they think the people they steal from will never see what they're doing??? On the top of stealing they think you are stupid! Totally unreal! I think that is one of the RUDEST things that anyone can do to someone in the art world. You're probably a much better person than me though. I wish I knew who it was. Gorgeous!!! A fabulous mix of vintage, goth and steampunk... I adore it!!!! I don't know who that disgraceful rip off merchant is, but if it happened to me I'd be furious too and I'd probably tell him so in the comments so that all his 'fans' could see and know he's a fraud! I'm sad to say I've quite a few videos on here, posted just a few days after you posted a new quirky, ''think outside the box'' project, and instantly thought ''Hey!!! That's Marta's idea, you cheat!!!'' Unfortunately, it happens all the time and it's just a terrible shame that there's no copyright rules on You Tube to stop people from stealing more talented artist's work! It only takes a few seconds to write ''Inspired by Marta (or Bill or Fred)!!! Some people are are sadly both untalented and shameless, but please remember the old saying '' Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'' and be very proud that anyone should love your work enough to pass their inferior copy off as their own!!! Don’t let it trouble you when someone copies your work. It’s a complement to your amazing creativity. But, look now you can show Emily that this wrong to do something like this. They by she will grow up to have high standards and values. For you can not do anything about others, but you can raise your children to have the highest morals which come back to their up bring. From what I know of you and Lucas through your video, you both were raise to be a credit to your parents. What is truly sad is that this gentleman does not feel guilty about doing what he has done. He should have put a link to your video to show his audience where the idea came from. As for you thank God for giving you such a gift of being creative and making those you come in contact with in life or on video happy.

Disagree. Copyright and credit given is important, especially if it's an artist's livelihood. Many many stories about artists being copied and having to chase people up.
Such a beautiful piece of art Marta, I am hugely inspired by your work and have learnt so much from you, I use your techniques that you teach us but I create my own composition, design and colour pallet. Such a lovely canvas! Vent away Marta...seriously... I've seen UA-cam channel's that you can tell are copied from you & a couple of other people. I see them & get frustrated for you & the other people that are copied because it's easy to see where the original idea came from. 🤨 We see it though & know where the credit should go. I love that you used watercolors. I recently did a canvas & used them as well because I didn't have the color I wanted in any other medium. Beautiful work as always! 🦋💖😘

I understand the rip off Marta. I make jewelry and I see some that make the exact thing. Maybe in a different color but that's ok. I know mine is better...lol Beautiful inspiration today. I use the metallic pastes more then you do in different colors with the watercolors....but yours is perfect!! See you next time.

Hi Marta! Personally, I don't like Steampunk, it just doesn't do it for me! However your canvas is really beautiful! It's not overcrowded with metal machine bits everywhere, it still breathes! It's still light and airy if you see what I mean.:D Regarding your vent, I totally get it. What that guy did is stealing! He took your idea and is taking the credit for it! Absolutely wrong! And as you mentioned, those thieves, do they think the people they steal from will never see what they're doing??? On the top of stealing they think you are stupid! Totally unreal! Jeez, I'm having a vent too! Sorry! Anyway, Marta, I feel for you. I send you lots of hugs! I hope those bad guys will not stop you from creating. What you create is amazing. I love your SmallArt! :D

I have seen videos where they take credit for others ideas and it makes me mad too. I have seen some where people say I learned this from Marta too! Don't let them get you down. Karma will get them. Great project. I love how you used the butterfly wings.

If I EVER EVER saw someone straight out copy my stuff without giving credit, I would flip my $*% on their post for sure. I think that is one of the RUDEST things that anyone can do to someone in the art world. You're probably a much better person than me though. I wish I knew who it was. I bet you'd have an army of your supporters calling him out on it. LOL! You have every right to be pissed off about it!

I don't know who that disgraceful rip off merchant is, but if it happened to me I'd be furious too and I'd probably tell him so in the comments so that all his 'fans' could see and know he's a fraud! I'm sad to say I've quite a few videos on here, posted just a few days after you posted a new quirky, ''think outside the box'' project, and instantly thought ''Hey!!! That's Marta's idea, you cheat!!!'' Unfortunately, it happens all the time and it's just a terrible shame that there's no copyright rules on You Tube to stop people from stealing more talented artist's work! It only takes a few seconds to write ''Inspired by Marta (or Bill or Fred)!!! Some people are are sadly both untalented and shameless, but please remember the old saying '' Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'' and be very proud that anyone should love your work enough to pass their inferior copy off as their own!!! Don’t let it trouble you when someone copies your work. It’s a complement to your amazing creativity. But, look now you can show Emily that this wrong to do something like this. They by she will grow up to have high standards and values. For you can not do anything about others, but you can raise your children to have the highest morals which come back to their up bring. From what I know of you and Lucas through your video, you both were raise to be a credit to your parents.
What is truly sad is that this gentleman does not feel guilty about doing what he has done. He should have put a link to your video to show his audience where the idea came from. As for you thank God for giving you such a gift of being creative and making those you come in contact with in life or on video happy.

Disagree. Copyright and credit given is important, especially if it's an artist's livelihood. Many many stories about artists being copied and having to chase people up.

Such a beautiful piece of art Marta, I am hugely inspired by your work and have learnt so much from you, I use your techniques that you teach us but I create my own composition, design and colour pallet. Is this okay? I am so sorry this man stole your work as his own, I wonder if he is still around, I doubt it.
