My friend Jimmy was a medic in Vietnam. He rode the choppers to bring the wounded back to base to get medical treatment. Or to be sent home in a coffin. He did three tours in Vietnam. The army wouldn't let him go back again. He said he couldn't stand to think of not being there to help the men get home. Somewhere along the way he ran in to agent orange. Jimmy married one of my best friends when we were in our twenties. They are still married. Jimmy is dying of stage four kidney cancer. He is still fighting it. That's one hell of an amen. Love watching you guys.
It gave my dad lymphoma! I hope Jimmy gives it hell! I know there are some great treatments out there, but I don't know where he's being seen. Cancer Treatment Center of America was AMAZING for my step-father.

Bott, left and Petty Officer 3rd Class Jason L. Doughrity, both corpsmen with Combat Service Support Battalion 7?s Battalion Aid Station at Al Asad, Iraq, saved the lives of seven Marines Dec. 22, 2004, when a suicide car bomb exploded beside a 7-ton truck in a convoy returning to their base from a routine resupply mission from Al Qaim, a forward operating base near the Syrian border With seven Marines suffering injuries consisting of second- and third-degree burns to the face and hands, shock, shrapnel wounds and open and closed fractures of ribs, arms and legs, the corpsmen also had to deal with the added adversity of the burning uniforms and gear as well as rifle ammunition setting off near the triage area. After the corpsmen stabilized, coordinated and prioritized the medical evacuation of the wounded Marines, the patients were flown to a nearby field hospital for higher-level treatment. All seven Marines are currently recovering in the United States. There were 3 people in the military you didn’t screw with, the Doc, the supply Sgt and the mess SGT, those were the people you always had there back for different reasons.
Too late I already did but my time was well before you guys, 79 - 83. I hold you all in awe for the things you all did in the war on terror. Your thing about bar fights were dead on. Us Corpsman would sit by the door and fix anything broken or bruised hahaha. Okinawa Japan
I honestly think all docs have everyone behind them trying to save us gunfighters. I was once upon a time an infantry marine. Even in civilian life docdoc my buddy a navy corpsman literally made me remember their divinity
Don’t ever touch “Doc” because you will have every Marine in the area on top of you. Doc’s gotten me into a few bar fights afterwards we have a beer and laugh about it. Doc came to our 30th anniversary party for the Marine Corps birthday because he is our brother.one fight was because he was drunk and calling other sailors calling them “squid” there’s a difference between a corpsman and AA FMF corpsman. I was a machine gunner and a field radio operator
I always enjoy it when Keith tells war stories. I really like this song and I think that the harmonies just make it a stronger presentation. But I also agree with
Yes combat medics are some hard ass mofos for sure, don’t know if you have ever seen the movie Hacksaw Ridge but it is based off a true story of a combat medic in WWII who was awarded the CMOH.

Was with 3/3 in 94/95. Had the utmost respect for our doc. Was more squared away than most of the 03's I knew and stronger. Semper Fi

It was originally by walker mcguire I like that version better. I think that it hold more emotion in the way it’s sang I the original

11.5 year Army medic and it hits everytime and different depending on my mood. I prefer the walker mcguire version as it just feels more real
And hey Nick we called it with Keith telling the same story he told when he referenced the Pappy.
Yep, I kinda figured he would. It's a great story that gets the point across.
Still friends with our Devil Doc to this day, and the dude only got harder with time. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts that's awesome to hear!

Walker Mcguires version is better in my opinion but as an army medic I love that this speaks the things I can’t say.
God bless and stay safe
Dan Tyminski is great, at some point y'all should check out his song southern gothic
Need to react to the video to get the full effect
Never fuck with DOC.
It's a bad plan. - Keith
