My last combat tour was in Afghanistan 09-10 as a combat medic. I didn't care about fame, recognition or medals, I was there to save lives. I was lucky, I didn't have to tell that lie, but I lived with the fear of having to do it every day. There is so much more I'd like to say, but I can't right now. Love and respect to you for doing this. 68W out.

Real heroes don`t want the fame or medals, especially medics/docs,they just want to bring their men home safe as they can. Great song!!

As a former 8404 corpsman I would rather take 1 thanks Doc for 1000 medals this means he is here talking to me

just finished 21 years as a combat medic and my favorite part was being on a time sensitive target team with the Infantry, we would be in the middle of chasing someone down and they would always check on me. Best part of being a Medic is the love of our Infantrymen ❤ that was what mattered to us. If some outsider started running their mouth at me I wouldnt be able to get a word out before there were a group of 11Bs between us lol Love you gentlemen! PS dont get it twisted though they would f with us lol just wouldnt let anyone else :D

Bravery is not the absence of Fear, Bravery is being "afraid" and doing what needs to be done Anyway.

My father was decorated in Korea, not a medic, always said; they don’t decorate you for what you did, it’s for carrying the weight of what you did. His heroes are the ones who didn’t make it. Thank you to all who serve!!!

It is a song, a feeling that needs to put out there. There are many people from generations who can relate to this who have been in the Military and seen combat. Viet Nam was my war but I was never in country. I was at sea but I had friends die there. I grew up in the post WW II generation where we heard nothing about this and all the tragic effects that war created with the returning men. People need to hear what went on to cope with the emotions. Thanks for playing this. I hadn't heard it before.

This being April, and with what's happening in the world, you should give Liam Clancy - The Band Played Waltzing Matilda a listen. It may be the saddest song ever.

Hi Harri, I won't say I "Enjoyed" the video because I understand your meaning, otherwise it was an incredibly nice song with thoughtful lyrics great harmonies and guitar arrangements. Another quality reaction.

Harri, thank you so much for your reaction! I heard this song a few months ago on another channel and knew that it was a song that I wanted your reaction to. I have so much respect for all those serving in the Armed Forces.
That last line where the soldier said “am I gonna die?” Tough stuff!!!
    Thank you for your reaction!
