You know, I hate to sound like Grandpa reliving his cyclical yet perpetually uphill schoolday trudges through unceasing torrents of blood and fiery hail, but I seriously wonder if Saturday morning cartoons are still a thing. When I was in single digits, my family had the three big networks, PBS, and maybe a couple of fuzzy stations out of St. Louis on clear days. Saturday mornings were pretty much IT for cartoons -- at least until we got a VCR. Now that just about everyone has pretty much any entertainment they want available anytime, I would think Saturday morning cartoons are an obsolete phenomenon. But I honestly don't know. Guess it would be easy enough to find out, but I'm not really THAT curious about it.
@@Already-Overbooked I will be that grandpa. I remember waking on Saturday mornings and taking my pillow to the living room, setting it down on the wood floor and laying down to watch cartoons. I probably did this longer than I should have. I didn’t record many on VHS, that was prime real estate reserved for movies, especially the lethal weapons and any other movie in which we weren’t allowed to rent the actual R rated version. The TV version was like the forbidden fruit but with permission and no punishment. Then afterward, it was getting dressed for the day and heading to the backyard for home run derby with tennis balls.
@DrL_Reads Back in my day you had to watch the show when it came on and if you missed it.... well you never found out what happened. No DVR, no streaming just disappointment
@DrL_Reads You are too nice man! You don't have to do that😄 I have the dc comics app so I can read anything older than 6 mths on it! I'll have to see if I can find them in there!
Oh, so the Space Ghost isn't really a ghost? That's disappointing. The title had me picturing the thrilling story of a ghost doomed to spend a vast chunk of its existence crossing inconceivably vast stretches of intergalactic space. Well at least until stars and galaxies cease to be. That's when things REALLY get good. But anyway, upon Googling, I realized that Space Ghost Coast to Coast talk show thing looks familiar. I never watched it regularly and apparently wasn't even sure what it was, but I must have seen it while flipping through channels or something. Hope you have a nice weekend!
@@BryanM.R.-prionic1 Yeah I watched it only some but still remember it because it was cartoons interviewing real people. It was more middle grade humor than child humor. Yea this comic takes the liberty to make him a “ghost” because he is thought to be dead, not actually dead.

@BryanM.R.-prionic1 It doesn't exist anymore. Cartoons never stop nowadays. It is part of the problem why kids don't go outside
