So as this video began my wife said " no Not this Nut Job " ...then without hesitation she said "he's a freak like you" LOL ...... .. I FREAKIN' LOVE IT my man ... Let yer Freak Flag fly ..lol ROCK ON
Hahahahaa! I freaking love it! I have reached NutJob status! I take that is a compliment and loudly wear that badge with honor! It’s funny because my daughter of 26 and 19 yrs won’t watch even a second of any of my videos! Too cringy but yet their friends and boyfriends all sub and watch on the regular! Haha! Pretty sure my wife has never watched a video of mine either! The Freak Flag will always fly at full mast! ✨✌️👽✨
Great picks, man. Excellent video and some great recommendations. Both Savage Res and 20th Century Zoo are excellent albums. I'll definitely have something new to look out for after watching this. Thanks!
Hey Thanks! Sorry took so long to reply but as I was going back through I realized I missed a couple comments! Yeah this 2 bands you mentioned are def worth picking up! Some super cool psychedelia! Thanks again! ✨✌️👽✨
Yeah I’m a fan of all things Jeff Lynne & Roy Wood! Oh man I totally agree about Twentieth Century Zoo! It’s a fun ride! Glad to have it even on pic disc! Peace ✨✌️👽✨
Hey Cosmic Brian Cool video as always! Uriah Heep cheap heat! Just picked up Firefly. Please album is cool think I got that from Rockadrome a while back good stuff 🔥 Plasticland looks cool . Hope your wife is doing well 🙏 Take care Brian ☮️
Hey Brian! Yeah wife is doing really well! You can’t go wrong with The Heep! Yeah I seen Rockadrome had that Please LP for sale Man between them and Guerssen you can find all kinds of great reissues! Thanks Brian! ✨✌️👽✌️
Hey Tony! Yeah you’re right about Mr Lee Michael’s! He has some great stuff! I’m always looking for Carnival of Life! And his 70’s jam “Do Ya Know What I Mean” is a great song! Time for him to get some recognition up in here! Thanks Tony! ✨✌️👽✨
Very cool VCLT from Stereo999, 20th Century Zoo looks interesting, as does the Buck Dharma LP. Love the Savage Resurrection LP, I picked that one up a few years ago, awesome! Modey Lemon is one I'll have to check out. Roy Wood was a founding member of the Move, and Jeff Lynne left the Idle Race in 1970 and joined Wood in the Move, then after a couple of albums, morphed into ELO. But yeah, Idle Race were a cool band, I have a copy of Birthday Party, but mine is the reissue with the crappy cover. I got the other one as a RSD release. Please is another one to check out. I have both of the Plasticland LPs, and I love them. The one you showed is the US version, same one I have, but there is a UK pressing that has a slightly diff cover, and the song sequence is different. Also their other album, Wonder Wonderful Wonderland is also excellent, I got both those LPs online a few years ago for under $20 each, a bargain at any price! Fun video Brian, glad to hear you and Mrs. Cosmic are doing well, take care and later man....🥴😵😵💫
Hey Michael! Oh yeah some killer records from the Artist Formerly Known as Stereo Steve! That Twentieth Century Zoo is right up your alley! Super psyched out 60’s stuff! Mosey Lemon is like newer garage Al rock that sounds damn good! Yeah I dig everything that Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne are in! Including ELO! Picked up a cool Move LP over the weekend that I can’t wait to show! I have my eye on another Plasticland LP I just need to get to the store and grab it! As always Michael I truly appreciate ya hanging out and commenting! Rock on Brother! ✨✌️👽✨
Bri, killer VCLT from Steve, stereo 999. Far out! The Ides for sure. I recently passed on that Heep. I hate to have to go back and see if it’s still there. Never heard Please seeing stars. Sounds tripping I’ll have to put on the list. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Mr Zonkman! Hell yeah! You should be able to find a copy of the Heeps Sweet Freedom pretty cheap and it’s not too hard to find if that copy ya left isn’t there! Please is cool if ya dig a bit of mellow tripped out atmospheric psych stuff! Rock On! ✨✌️👽✨
With summer winding down, it's time to hit the basement record room and get psychedelic. Savage Resurrection is one of the best teenage psych albums out there. The lead guitarist is the cousin of Paul Whaley the drummer for Blue Cheer. Lee Michaels Carnival Of Life is his most psychedelic album IMHO. Don Grady of My Three Sons fame was the drummer in The Yellow Balloon. 20th Century Zoo, Neon Pearl, The Gun ,T2 all great listens, (still looking for Bulldog Breed) keep em coming Cos. Cheers.
Dan my Man! It’s always the season for mass psychedelia! I love that Savage Rez LP too! Didn’t know about the Blue Cheer connection! Thanks for that factoid! My Three Sons! Yes! Used to watch that show pretty religiously as a kid! So cool that one of their alum is in Yellow Balloon! How I don’t already own Lee Michael’s Carnival is beyond me? I’ve seen it a few times but it’s always beat up! I’ll score it soon tho now that you’ve given it the old Dan stamp of approval! I once passed on Bulldog Breed as I didn’t know what it was when I seen it I went back and of course it was gone! Ugh! The story of my life! Thanks Dan Peace Brother! ✨✌️👽✨
Yeah I’m def a fan of all things Jeff Lynne & Roy Wood including ELO! Which is a band that gets like zero love in the VC! I have quite a few of their albums so I’m gonna start showing them! Thanks Stephen! ✨✌️👽✨
Are you reproducing yet again? The Savage Resurrection - classic! ...Now: ... Twentieth Century Zoo and Buck Dharma are both classics - need to re-find those for my re-collection! "Please" looks interesting! Anything by Plasticland is cool! ...Keep on cranking these out - they remind me of great stuff I forgot about!
Reproducing? As in procreating? Haha! Yeah that Savage Rez is good stuff! Glad to have that 20th Century Zoo even on picture disc!! It’s groovy man! Please is cool if ya like some dreamy trippy stuff! Not heavy fuzzed out psych but I don’t always need that Sometimes I just like to kick it with some weird atmospheric stuff! Oh I will crank forth vids until folks stop watching! So hopefully long live Cosmic Vinyl! Thanks Billiam! ✨✌️👽✨
That lee Michael's is a good one. Might be one of his heavier records. Pretty spacy you'll dig it. Stereo999 is a fun channel. Cheers dude enjoy the tunes!
Hey Cliff! Yeah I finally made my way thru most of the stuff Steve sent I shot that video on Friday so I hadn’t had a chance to listen to all of it! I seen your post on IG of Hawkwind’s Space Ritual Man I love that album! Thanks Cliff! ✨✌️👽✨
Man I finally got to spin all the records Steve sent with the exception of a couple and I really dig that Lee Michael! You’re spot on! Man it was def a generous care package! Love it! Thanks Dan! ✨✌️👽✨
Wow! I just listened to some songs off that Plasticland album online and was blown away. I’ll have to track down that knights of fuz book. Hope you and your family are doing well!
Dude I think there’s a couple copies of Knights of Fuzz on eBay for around $20! That’s a good price as that book is an amazing resource for garage rock revival bands from the 80-90’s Bands that were heavily influenced by the 60’s garage punkers! A fellow You Tuber and garage rock expert, Garner from Born Outta Time turned me onto that book and to a ton of great garage bands! He may have taken a break from making vids but I’m hoping he will return! Yeah I was stoked to find that Plasticland LP! I dig it quite a lot! Thanks George! ✨✌️👽✨

Another great selection man ! , that Savage Ressurection is awesome ( favourite of Nick Saloman of Bevis frond fame ! ) Uriah Heep allways delivers ( love that early period ) , and what about Plasticland - killer neo psych band I bought all the lp's in the 80s , file next to early Pink Floyd , Tomorrow , July , SF Sorrow Pretty Things , 60s garage ... killer !! Thanks man and stay cosmic

Duuude... SO glad you dug the box o' stuff Got that Savage Resurrection on CD> the liner notes have an endorsement from Nick Solomon of Bevis Frond. Abe Kesh produced that. He also produced Blue Cheer and the band Voco Kesh named themselves after him... I have PLEASE on CD, too - I Farghin love T2 - thank God I have an AKARMA reissue of T2 because T2 ain't on Spotify no more. Windowpain Industries is me. It was my experimental 4 track recordings I did in the 90s. I said it was cursed because insane schidt happened in my universe when I was tying to get it pressed. Has a tape cut-up noise piece on one side and guitar playing on the other side. People were very confused by it lol. I stuck the CDs on the cardboard so they didn't rattle around in the post... I used to have a nice copy of that Ides Of March and traded it for something aeons ago and that's one of my 'regrets'. They're one of EightVinylLow's favorite bands. Ever watch her channel? Uriah Heep! The real life Spinal Tap! I don't have any Idle Race which is ironic because my favorite band when I was 12 was Electric Light Orchestra... That is the first 12 inch Plasticland release, collects their early singles. Their best record in my opinion. Cheers, "Lord of the Ringwear"
Hey Steve! Man that care package was freaking glorious! Far too generous! I loved the idea of tacking the CDs to the stiffener! Genius brother! Hell yea I’m familiar with Emma at Eight-vinyl low! Used to be a lot more in touch with her Yeah she knows one of the guys from Ides I think they’re local heroes where she lives! She’s also a pretty big Cheap Trick fan and likes a lot of Power Pop! Yeah she’s good people! Now I get the sticky note on the first 45! I’m still trying to make my way thru all the records I’ve almost listened to all of em but there’s 2-3 left to peruse! Dude I love ELO! They get zero love in the VC! I dig just about anything that involves Jeff Lynne or Roy Wood! Do you like The Move? I picked up their Shazam album over the weekend at a fleam over in Belleville Illinois! Bought it off my friend Travis along with a real nice copy of Bowie’s Diamond Dogs! Can’t believe I didn’t own that one by now That was a big hole filled in the Bowie collection! Now I just need Man Who Sold the World and I may do an artist spotlight vid! Thanks again for the nice VCLT! Very cool Bro! ✨✌️👽✨
The Move is great. I used to see Shazam cheap all the time but now that I want it it's nowhere to be found or too expensive. The Move album I wholeheartedly endorse is MESSAGE FROM THE COUNTRY. You can really hear the future ELO on that one. I think Emma was the first VCer the algorithm threw at me (I remember googling VCLT back in 2020 🤣)
Great to see these pickups, Cosmic One! Did I miss the link for your VCLT amigo's channel? PS - hope to see you record digging out and about soon Buddie!
It’s actually in a card in the video but you’re right I should put a link in description as well I’ll do that straightaway I went to the Belleville Flea Market this weekend I was hoping maybe I’d see ya there Hung out with Travis and bought a couple of choice albums from him that will be in the next vid! Man it was good to get out I’ve been laying low for a bit Thanks for tuning in Man! ✨✌️👽✨
Yellow Balloon - Still have my original 45 Lee Michaels - Have 3 albums, but not this one; there are a few songs I remember hearing at the time, but I mostly have them because of the Paul Revere & the Raiders connection Ides of March - seems I have two copies, one is a white label promo; not as much ring wear, but both jackets have other issues; overall I agree about Blood, Sweat & Tears, but there was one song where the singer's voice reminded me of Gary Puckett; another song had Association influence; another sounded like it belonged on a soundtrack; and Eleanor Rigby sounded like Vanilla Fudge meets (early) Chicago, with a bit of Santana mixed in
Hey Judy! Yeah I finally got a copy of Yellow Balloon! I know it’s not the album but that 45 is cool! I’m still hoping to land a copy of the YB album someday tho! I totally agree with your assessment of Ides of March. It’s a fun album My copy is also a white label promo which I didn’t show in the vid due to time. From now on when I talk about ringwear in a video I’m going to make it sound like it’s a good thing LoL! Thanks Judy and sorry if I don’t always get back to you on Instagram I’m trying to juggle 2 accts One for my records and one for my comics and also Cosmic Vinyl! Thanks again! ✨✌️👽✨
@@cosmicvinyl2937 Glad you finally got at least the 45. Don't forget that Sundazed just reissued it recently. Also, if you decide to go for a cd version, the 1998 has 20 tracks. The current release (vinyl or cd) has only16 tracks. For similar bands, check out The Merry-Go-Round and The Parade (The Parade (2) on discogs). No vinyl for The Parade other than 45s, but there are cd compilations. Thanks for showing Ides of March. No idea why I have 2 copies. Both would have been bought used in the 70s-80s. Pretty sure the only song I played was the title track until a few hours ago. Since most of my albums released before the mid-seventies were replacements for albums that didn't make it home from college, I've decided that I was pretty darn good at picking great sounding copies. But the covers, some of those are pretty beat up.
Let me start off by sayin' "Sweet Vintage Vinyl cozy!" You seriously need a ruffled, pirate shirt to go with the jacket. I'm a oooooge 7" collector. I think it's because of how small my hands are. Burger companies ought to pay me to hold their burgers. Did you just say an "awful great listen?" Love me some Stereo 999! Ring wear is like holy jeans - it's got to be earned. Do you have merch or am I gonna have to create this? I need to walk around town wearing some Cosmic B! Cheers good fella!
I sure would try but I’m going to guess that I’d be way out of my league with those envy weights LoL! But if o was living in the 60’s maybe I’d have a strong tolerance like them Who knows? But I’d surely love to have been older than the 3-5 yrs that I was back then as a wee cosmonaut! (Born in 65) Thanks Dean! ✨✌️👽✨

Hey David! Yeah I dig the pop lines of Idle Race and man you can sure hear what was to come from Jeff Lynne later in ELO! I picked up a copy of The Move-Shazam over the weekend It’s like new! Love that band too! Hope all is well with you man! ✨✌️👽✨
@@cosmicvinyl2937 I just picked up the UK Harvest of The Move's Message From The Country, I have the U.S. press, but for some reason want the UK. That completes my Move collection, I love Shazam as well! Great pick up. Peace.
Hey Cosmic Brian how's life my friend? I hope you have been keeping well! Awesome ✨far out finds✨ really enjoy these even if I don't know a lot of these artists love watching your good self! Have a great week brother stay Awesome! ✌️👨🚀🤘☮️📀💗
Thanks B! Yeah this was a fun one to do As if you couldn’t tell I was blowing off a little steam and sweating my butt off as it was so humid that day! Stay tuned for the next vid I found some great records and comics at a flea market over the weekend! Hope all is well with you too! ✨✌️👽✨
@@cosmicvinyl2937 Haha yeah I feel sorry for you having to cope with that heat while making your videos 🔥 luckily it has not been that humid over were I am! That sounds awesome can't wait for the next video to see what treasures you've found at the flea market! I have been a bit under the weather but hanging together haha.. Thanks again for all your super cool videos Brian I hope you and your family are all good! Peace and much love! :) 💗📀☮️🤘👨🚀✌️✨🛸
Like Please a lot. Have the lp 68/69. Certainly worth searching out. Definitely heading into prog territory. 🖖🚀
Hey Rik! Yeah Please does veer into a bit of proggy territory but I still dig that as well! Prog is not a deal breaker as there is some great Progedelic bands out there! Eloy! Touch! Van Der graff Generator! I can get into those goodie when my minds right! Thanks Rikster! ✨✌️👽✨
@@cosmicvinyl2937 I’m not against prog by any means. Just didn’t jump into it alot. Check out the Orb w/ David Gilmore. That’s a aural expression worth finding. 🖖🚀
Regarding Lee Michaels I recommend albums Carnival of Life and Fifth.
I’m always on the case for Carnival of Life but most of the time I see it It’s pretty beat up but I will score it soon! I have Fifth and I dig it! Thanks Jeff! ✨✌️👽✨
Duuude...
SO glad you dug the box o' stuff
Got that Savage Resurrection on CD> the liner notes have an endorsement from Nick Solomon of Bevis Frond.
I'm the VCLT amigo, amigo...
Haha there’s your link!
@@stereo999 found ya sir and subbed! Any buddie of CB’s is a buddie of mine ✌🏻
Yellow Balloon - Still have my original 45
Lee Michaels - Have 3 albums, but not this one; there are a few songs I remember hearing at the time, but I mostly have them because of the Paul Revere & the Raiders connection
Ides of March - seems I have two copies, one is a white label promo; not as much ring wear, but both jackets have other issues; overall I agree about Blood, Sweat & Tears, but there was one song where the singer's voice reminded me of Gary Puckett; another song had Association influence; another sounded like it belonged on a soundtrack; and Eleanor Rigby sounded like Vanilla Fudge meets (early) Chicago, with a bit of Santana mixed in
Oh Cosmic one, if you could time travel back to 1968, who would you party with, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison or John Lennon?
I sure would try but I’m going to guess that I’d be way out of my league with those envy weights LoL! But if o was living in the 60’s maybe I’d have a strong tolerance like them Who knows? But I’d surely love to have been older than the 3-5 yrs that I was back then as a wee cosmonaut! (Born in 65) Thanks Dean! ✨✌️👽✨
Drugs don't have long term effects
Whew! Thank God I was getting worried there! LoL! ✨✌️👽✨
