You Rock Kevin! Quick question..., Revo 2.5r..? Is it a straight across swap to a 3.3? Is there any else that needs to be changed besides the header? Thanks
since you had the one way bearing out. You should have cleaned it up with WD-40 and then soaked it in Marvel Mystery Oil for a few minutes. Always make sure that the lettering goes toward the engine when really installing it back into the EZ-Start or Pull Start.
thanks man mine is shooting out metal flakes at the bell and when you crank it the wheels want to move so im going to be replacing the bell and clutch and all that may go ahead and do the motor too and use my old one as a back up
the clutch shoes go on a certain way as well. you can install them backwards so pay close attention to what they looked like when you took them off and install the new clutch shoes the same way you removed the old ones.
@@escondidonative2903 oh so many! Blistered fingers, emotional outbursts every pull that does nothing, plus it’s SO much easier to tune as it cuts off as you try to adjust anything. Naw, I’m only being half serious. Many people prefer the ez start. And I will say it rarely puts enough juice to the glow plug.
@@HowlinWolfRC you’re the second person to say the exact same thing and now I am going to have to buy a 2s Lipo for it. I suppose I’ll require a new charger?
@@Howlinwolfreviews I need one of those. My engine had sat for years. I took it off, cleaned it up, was able to spin it with my fingers. However it wouldn’t spin with the Electric start. Until I completely charged my 7.2volt battery and then it finally spun.
You remove the mounts from the chassis via 4 screws on the bottom of the chassis, the toughest challenge is getting new mounts to line up with an engine not specifically designed for your vehicle! First determine what the distance is between the mount holes "in mm" using a micrometer or a ruler!! i can help you find an exact replacement to drop right in, I will post a link to the engine when i find it!!
Yep, I made the same comment. I wish they were $50! I thought I had overlooked something or maybe it was that cheap only if the engine failed due to factory faulting. Nope. It was the same as you said, still running that engine.
Good video this guy really knows what he's talking about so pay attention kids. And it's flooded try to unflood it and then try to pull start it.
Great video learned a few things along the way

Great vid! Thx for taking the time to post.
Thank you!
Great video and to the point! Thank you!
If I were to buy an entire bearing set for the Revo, would it include the clutch bearings also? It’s I think about a 48 piece set.
Great video good detail! Question I have a 1/10 scale ftx carnage what engines can I put in the vehicle thats more powerful?
You could put any .18 engine in it with a Bigger piston and head, providing the motor mounts on the engine line up with your motor mounts.
Howlin' Wolf RC whats the difference in .16-.18...etc??
Thanks alot appreciate that info👌

Love your videos very informative
nice video !Like your workshop dude !!thumbs up 9 !new fan !
I just got my new 3.3 ,can’t pull the pull start ,I removed glow p,ugh it pulled once now nothing like it’s froze
John Holland drop a little after run oil in the cylinder. 3.3 are tight when new
Howlin' Wolf RC thanks I appreciate your help
When I was removing the engine mount....a couple spiky looking washers fell out, where do they go?
The crown washers go on the motor mount screws
+Howlin' Wolf RC yes but where on the screws...between the plate and chassis or directly slid onto the screw on the underside of the chassis?
directly on to the screws, they are locking washers so when you tighten the screw down they bite into the surface to keep them in place!
+Howlin' Wolf RC okay thankyou...when I was taking the car apart they came out of nowhere
+Howlin' Wolf RC and which screws have the spikey washers....the ones closer to the out side or inside
just picked up a gently used 3.3 with no remote or ez starter power cell. so swapping it out to pull start.
Benefits to pull starts?

what kind of battery did you put in the e z start ? mine sucks with the 7.2 volt! i bought a traxxas revo used like new but cant get it to start.
I use a 2s lipo 7.4 v...the power band is higher and more constant, just better, cleaner power!

How did u reconnect the wire to the Es start since u pulled it off because it was soldered on
what did you use when you said "I need more power an 8? volt EZStart" wand?
I used a 2s lipo, it is a 7.4 volt

where did you get that driver set with the orange handles?
I ordered them from Amazon they are odonnell hex drivers
and of course....yeah!
and yeah!
so yeah!
thanks bro.
thank you man really appreciate it!
How often should I change my clutch?
Hi I have a question will a 3.3 heatsink head fit a 2.5 traxxas motor
Flint Smiley no it doesn’t

What if you idle up the engine?
For a 3.3 motor where I live is 250 and the lifetime replacement is 110 boi

Where are u located lol.. I need repairs done on mine
The ez start puts out way more power then any single cell igniter. Test them with a meter.
they glow igniter circuit on the ez start is a Major Fail.
@@HowlinWolfRC it really is. I’ve been meaning to buy a glow igniter, and still use the EZ to spin it up.
you should never let the engine idle through the first tank. I made that mistake once and seized the piston.
First tank is an idle tank always, any other way is a Mistake.

OWNERS MANUAL READ IT !!!!!!!
Monte Delp letting it idle the first time is the best way to break don't comment unless you actually know what you are talking about
