    I wish I was younger because my 40 year old self says its the time when we are happy and carefree.. this has reminded me that actually late teens and our 20's is hard time emotionally.
    My friends and I were full of worry and anxiety . Most of our 20's were spent self analysing, spending time in deep thought and coming to terms with who we are and what others thought of us ...my 40 year old self is relaxed and wishing I was 20 something again.. I forgot how hard emotionally it is. stay strong everyone ..lots of love ..(if i could i would go back in time and give myself a hug because its gonna be okay) ,. im happy :}}}

    Ignorance is bliss. I have found this to be true. From my experience. I have a highly active mind. I know I am intelligent. But I think too much and it leads to worry. I ask so many questions. I overanalyze the shit out of everything. Critique words, actions, events etc. It's enough to drive you mad! Harnessing the mind is so difficult. Any wonder people self medicate to just slow the brain down. Synapses firing constantly. I have just started trying meditative thinking. Getting into philosophy. I recommend J. Krishnamurti. He's an Indian philosopher/teacher. He asks "the big questions" of life. He puts my mind at ease because I can slow my thinking down to almost try and match his pace. Which is slow. Deliberate. It's really been helpful for me.

    This video really REALLY nailed my worrying issues, thank you brother...this means so much to me to know that I'm not going crazy. It made so much sense when you used the percentage of our total usage of our brain energy on worrying. I worry everyday I step outside my comfort zone and it's exhausting and like you described it's "disgusting'. Worrying has robbed me of many many things in my life, and I like to add to anyone that's in your teens or 20's seek help NOW and don't wait and ignore it, don't let your talents, passions or the love for someone be blinded by this evilness we call anxiety, fight back and FUCK the 92%....I'm gonna focus my energy, my passion and my love to the 8% which really means something in this world. I will fight back until my last breath, God bless you all & thank you again Scott you are truly one of my heroes.

    Hey man, *great channel*. Thank you for your helping, useful and much appreciated!
    Here is what I am taking with me from this video:
    40% things you worry about that will not actually happen, ever.
    30% things already happened .
    12% are random worries that come up during the day in a hyper-critical/hyper-sensitive way (ie "my foot hurts, I may have leprosy!").
    10% worrying is about what other people think of you (this one may be the 40% for some of us).
    We can do nothing about this and can stop thinking about it right now, it is silly! As soon as a worry pops up, say a good thing about yourself (or a reassuring one) instead. Keep doing it.
    = Only 8% are worth considering (and taking action about, in the most positive, effective, constructive way!).
    Remember: you are smart. That's why you worry too much: be creative instead, channel your intelligence into solutions to that real 8%.
    Love you all, let's keep up the good fight!

    Nah... A big part of the cycle of anxiety is us THINKING we know best. Most of the time we don’t. Sure we know our own bodies but we aren’t doctors.
    I worried consistently about all sorts of things, then I REALLY got sick.
    Guess what, I wasn’t sick with anything I’d ever even considered or thought of. It was totally out of the blue, unexpected and I could NEVER have prepared for or stopped it by worrying. This just proved to me how silly my worrying was.
    I spent 11 days in hospital and I’m still recovering. But I’m still here. We have to learn to accept all we can do is take good care of ourselves. But we can’t stop ourselves getting sick. It’s part of being human.
