You’ve nailed this review. I have a P440E my23 and you have picked up on every single issue I have had. I love the machine but have had issues with rattles in door pillar trims and a suspension failure😢…..all sorted by Land Rover but it raises concerns about reliability outside of warranty…. It has a 5-yr warranty…..so, I will be offloading it in year 4!!!! The electric engine is superbly refined and the sound insulation means it is so quite around town.
I’ve just subbed because I like your ‘straight forward, no nonsense, say it how it is’ review. Consider getting yourself a checklist for filming everything that you’re including in the review and invest as much as you can in yourself. You are your brand, and it’s a brand with a lot of potential. Consider your different angles and invest in more cameras, whether that is a simple go pro also used as a head camera or/and others. Above everything else, ask questions near the end for constructive feedback. You’ll be amazed how that will help you learn about yourself and the products that you’re going to review. Good luck and here’s to a successful 2025!🎉👏🏻😉
Thanks so much for this comment. I do have other cameras, I just couldn't do as grand a production due to the weather and also not getting insurance on the car but its all a learning process and I greatly appreciate feedback.
Please note, I made an error on the boot size by saying it was smaller in the PHEV than non-hybrid models. All information I give in reviews comes from reliable sources (I don't just make things up for fun), but strangely, that was picked up wrong. The boot does not feel cavernous for an SUV of this size, so I think when I opened it, plus the fact the floor is flat and batteries are underneath, it see ed plausibly reduced. Apologies again and ill always admit when I am wrong.
Good straight talking review. Shame you didn’t get to drive it because it would have impressed you even more. I have owned nothing but Range Rovers for the last 15 years - 4 “Vogue” and 2 new Defenders in that time and my wife has had 2 Evoque, 1 Velar and now a new Sport. Current motors: 2024 Range Rover P550e Autobiography 2024 Range Rover Sport P460e Autobiography 2024 Land Rover Defender 90 D300 Hard Top 2022 Jaguar F Type P250 I can’t be any clearer than this (although I don’t want to tempt fate here) - we have NEVER had any issues with any of them, NONE. We do a combined 70,000 miles a year. We have also never had any stolen nor have we had any issues in getting insurance. Yes, it is well documented that there were some technical issues with security systems in 22/23 model years but it is also now well documented and proven that LR has worked hard to upgrade their security software and insurance companies have now recognised this. Anyway, you really should get yourself a “full fat” Range Rover like mine for a full test, I can guarantee you will never have driven anything like it. Clarkson used to say it was the best car in the world, I think that’s still the case! But I am a wee bit biased. You’re more than welcome to come visit anytime and run a comparison test :-)
Thank you so much for this detailed comment. Really interesting feedback and it sounds like you're a mega fan of the brand for sure! Thanks also for offer to review your car's. Where do you live? 🙂
Lol... there's always one. I cover a lot of detail in this review and am transparent about the very few things I couldn't. I am also correct that the boot in the PHEV is smaller.
@Nikk-m5s lazy reviewer, are for real? Did you skip the part where I said I couldn't get insurance on the car?? And I don't delete comments. Ever. I have zero tolerance for comments like this.
@car_babble if you can’t be bothered to fact check, then plainly lie when you’re picked up on something you’ve said wrong maybe you shouldn’t be on UA-cam? You’re completely wrong about the boot space even though you state you’re right. And nobody should say it’s an in depth review without even driving a car! Couldn’t even be bothered to find some private land to test it. Apart from that good luck in the future
Just bought 2nd p460e Rrs think you need to drive one then comment on the car, also just insured through my company Aviva ins £800 per annum. Oh I I’ve in Surrey 20 miles from London, dynamic se with Some extras better value for money. As for all modern cars wouldn’t won’t one out of warranty, we use vans for our business and now modern vans are going to be hassle out of warranty.
Thanks for the comment. There's lots to say about the car without actually driving it but if I could have gotten insurance I would have. That's amazingly cheap insurance for your RR.
The problem now is all new cars once the warranty is up you should move them on you wont get high miles nor problem free outside of wear and tear but i mean you wont own 1 for 10 years
@car_babble yes id agree there diesels now i wouldnt touch but to be fair anything diesel after 2015 i wouldnt touch i know of 2016 landcrusiers have to get under body repairs there rusting out

Nice car
I concur!
Wish this drivetrain was available in the defender
It may happen!?
Just me perhaps but I kinda miss the angular look of the younger l322 Rover series.

In depth review whereby you do not drive it, and wrongly state the PHEV has a smaller boot?

The load space is the same, phev or diesel. Just commenting as an owner of a phev Autobiography.
@@stephenanderson979 seems there’s always one lazy reviewer. I did suggest he check this information but that comment somehow got deleted.

Maybe in the afterlife I shall be able to afford such a vehicle
Yeah I won't be affording one any time soon.🤣
Give me a top of the range Lexus SUV over a range rover any day.
Certainly will be more reliable!

Unless maybe a Toyota 😁
@car_babble toyota are not what they used to be id still move them on
@noelcahill6707 still up there with the most reliable but possibly not quite as bulletproof as they once were.
@car_babble yes id agree there diesels now i wouldnt touch but to be fair anything diesel after 2015 i wouldnt touch i know of 2016 landcrusiers have to get under body repairs there rusting out
Give Land Rover £2500 per month or go to the Gym. No Brainer.
Why are most owners of RR nothing to be desired of???
I think the owners get stereotyped but I can certainly vouch for the owners of this particular one.
Money pit
Definitely has potential to be
It’s a brand new car with warranty lol
