Great. My 2017 Silverado has the 5.3 with cylinder shut off feature. Just great.

Seems to be an OBD plug-in to override this. I personally don't know if but have come upon it being mentioned in a few places.

Courts should have forced Ford to Warranty their 6L and 6.4s for life, or give the customer 150% refund, whichever they choose.

Gm 4cylinder Turdbo they put in full sized Trucks really sucks !

Thanks for your input! The idea of putting a 4-cylinder turbo in a full-sized truck has definitely sparked mixed opinions. Some feel it lacks the power and durability expected in a truck. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

Disagreeing with the 5.4 3v assessment.
My F250 (2005) ran the original 5.4 to nearly 230k miles with no problems whatsoever.
The piston rings finally wore out.
Great engine and would own again.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's always great to hear about engines that have gone the distance. While some 5.4 3v engines had issues, your story highlights how proper care and maintenance can make a big difference. Glad to hear it served you well!

6.4 powerstroke worst engine, in my opinion. Quickly became impossible to find new heads for them. Let alone a reputable shop to work on them.
Hence the rise of the Fummins truck.

You're not alone in that opinion! The 6.4 Powerstroke has definitely earned a reputation for its challenges. The rise of Fummins swaps says a lot about how owners have adapted. Thanks for sharing your insight!

I call bullshit on the 5.4 being the number 1 failure....I have had 2 of them with very little issues. The ticking noise in an exhaust leak. Get it fixed before cold weather and a 250k motor. Where are all the Subaru Turbo screw ups in all this.

Appreciate your perspective! The 5.4 definitely has its fans, and it’s great to hear your positive experience. You’re absolutely right about the ticking often being an exhaust leak-maintenance makes all the difference! As for Subaru turbo issues, that’s a great point. Maybe we’ll have to dive into those in a future video. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hate these computer narrations such as five eight (V8).

The 5.4 2v is a good engine if you fix the 3 problem its got now the 5 4 3v is a shit engine every video i see that has this engine makes it sound so bad put its not only the 3v is (note i have a 2000 f250 4 door long bed it has a 5 4 2v with 220567mils on it with no problems)

Great points! The 5.4 2v does seem to hold up well when the common issues are addressed, and your F250 is a testament to that reliability. The 3v, on the other hand, definitely has its fair share of critics. Thanks for sharing your experience!
