I still cannot believe it’s actually happening man. Such a dream come true

More like a nightmare.

Real
I can’t believe this is by the same developers that did the SpongeBob Rehydrated game. Purple Lamp are really stepping up their game here, looks great. 👍
I cannot wait to see MickeyJunk Mountain
Me too, man! Favorite spot in the game!
I’m excited to see tomorrow city that was my favorite location
@@greatscot8260Dude same!
Lonesome manor left the chat
I’m excited to see mean street
While I think I like the old face for the dragon better, the new design is still SUPER cool *and* it’s an actual bridge now! 😂 I can’t even tell you how many times I fell off of the old design when I was a kid because it didn’t have a flat back and because it was moving! Especially the tail since it got so small and you didn’t feel like you could make the jump to the final platform! So glad they fixed it!! ❤
Yeah, I agree. It looks more like a "bridge," but now it looks too...static.
I liked the style in the original better! I’m just worried it’s going to look static for the rest of the games art style!
Honestly I like the new design better, the face of the old bridge creeped me out as a kid
Mickey’s new double jump voice clips are so funny. Bro does NOT need to be yelling that loud 😭
Are you a double jump expert? How loud do you yell when you exert enough force to propel yourself further midair using just your legs.
@@rundyftwit’s all in the ankles. Professionals usually just breathe through the nose quickly and breathe out the mouth as if they were blowing through a straw.
Some of them are actually unused voice clips
@@Bryan-fy5wt oh cool!
A lot of the changes I'm seeing in the level layouts seem like genuine improvements that help improve traversal or readability. I also just love the detail they've added in some spots.
Now this is getting interesting!
There are whole sections that were totally redesigned or even brand new.
It’s good that they’re making everything clearer and easier to see with new lighting but the way everything glowed in the original made the environment and characters more Ghoulish and Nightmarish, really fitting the dread that a place called Wasteland should bring.
honestly seeing seeing them side by side I do like what they are doing with rebrushed because it still feel true to the original but with more detail like for somethings maybe some of the original devs wish they could have done that but they couldn't back then
The fear of being surrounded by Bunny Children is coming back...
oh hell no, i remember being a kid and being scared of the mean street because of them
Seeing that they made the paintable objects more noticeable brings a smile to my face, can't count the amount of times i got stuck looking for the solution to the level on the wii.
I love that like the opening cutscene, this footage is almost shot for shot so that you can see the comparison between the original and remake!
It’s like a Crash Bandicoot and Spyro night and Day!
My childhood has officially come back!
And it was through this game that I was able to help navigate my family through Disneyland and Magic Kingdom when we visited them!
god i am so hyped for this, i hope it revives the series
me too!
Even if it doesn’t ITS STILL SO WORTH IT TO GET A REMAKE FINALLT
The dragon was much creepier in the original. I was in high school when I saw that thing, and didn't know what to make of it.
love how the fire bridge is actually a bridge
The detail is immaculate. The asset redesigns are great, especially for the dragon. I prefer the original steamboat willie section (because of the more 2d style platforms that make it seem like the original cartoon), but the redesign looks good too!
Wow they put so much freaking love into the level designs even in little areas like 1:55 that you would probably skim over
I appreciate that the Fire Bridge actually has some platform on it now. I always felt like I was going to fall off that thing in the original game.
A small part of me does miss the dots for health for some reason and Mickey face display is on a notepad rather than just being displayed.
It looks awesome, but where's the effect on Mickey that makes his ink drip upwards?
Maybe they’re adding that at a later date.
Isn't that only ifyou use too much thinner?
Wasn't this a scrapped idea in the original?
@@PyroGothNerd I didn't know that! That's really cool!
@@skillato9000Mickey always has ink rising off of him to signify that he has some of the blot in him. Doing more thinner actions causes more of it to rise, doing more paint actions causes less.
The actual scrapped concept was Mickey's entire appearance changing to suit the play style, like having more washed out colors on a thinner run or brighter ones during paint, or even the scrapped scrapper Mickey concept where his paint melted off of his sketch.
Fairly sure there's always at least an occasional blot drip rising regardless of your play style, though. You can see some of it happening when Mickey jumps or spins on occasion in the remaster, where blot particles are thrown around.
While i do prefer the dark and grungy colors of the wii version i do like the brighter and vivid colors of the switch version, im def gonna pick this up on ps5 when it comes out and platnum it
This actually makes me so happy to see since I grew up with the original and thought I was never gonna see anything come out of this series again but this gives me hope
Awesome, love these types of gameplay comparisons. Like what they have done with the remake, cannot wait to play this
Personally I like the new fire bridge
Not sure what to think about the new character models in the 2D section but I love the rest!
One watch from the video and comparing them, there were some things that I preferred in each version partly when it came to lighting and design
This does look amazing, I can't help but feel it is a lot darker in colour than the original though. And the old black and white cartoon segments looked much more like the original cartoons on the Wii version. Just me? Still looking forward to this, but side by side making me appreciate the original that much more. I loved this game so much :)
Is it me or is the rebrushed version is missing some of the sound effects like when you collect the etickets or paint sounds? Also I noticed the music didn't change to a combat version when facing an enemy. Hope this all gets fixed in the final version of epic Mickey rebrushed.
I can’t wait!
Going to be honest there's some critiques I have, I loved the original's pushing out walls and AC Unit in the climb of the first tower in the original game vs the new flip out panels. The Paintable world elements don't feel nearly as bright, though giving you a starry outline for missing objects is absolutely genius. I don't need them to be absolutely neon, but a version between the new & old colors would probably be better, as it felt those elements were like in an actual cartoon, where the objects characters would interact with would be less detailed than the environment. The "fog" effect is kind of distracting and washes out a lot of color, especially next to a Wii game feels saddening.
The actual modelling, detail, redesigned areas, THE FIRE BRIDGE IS AN ACTUAL BRIDGE, etc. No comment absolutely beautifully well done. It's just the color contrast & washed out color that need work.
I remember playing this game as a kid it was so good and looking back at the gameplay now color me impressed how the version honestly still holds up and some parts actually looks better
Damn I thought this was just gonna be an HD port but this might as well be a whole new game. I might have to pick it up now :o
I have mixed feelings because the wii version kind of has more details and a weird lighting that makes it look more gloomy.
Can't wait to see the rest of the game on switch anyways
Can’t wait for it to come out in 2024
They did a great job! They redid a ton of the models as you can tell by the zen house thing
Some parts in the remake feel bigger or smaller like the temple with the Gremlin or the moving platforms segment. Not sure how to feel about that.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
I kinda like the old camera better. The new one is too close and aiming looks odd.
Excited for the remake but honestly prefer the old style
bro what💀
@@amazingboi9388 it’s just not as dark as the og. Creepy feeling that helped make the game so good is kinda lacking
It never had a chance, a pretty small team is handling remaking the entire game in unreal engine. They were never gonna be able to keep the original's art direction's integrity.
@@meta20074 turn down the brightness broski
@@amazingboi9388 not what I meant 😭
I love what they did 10/10
That might end up happening but it would be a pretty missed opportunity to fully voice the game. After all, they fully voiced the second game so it only makes sense to fully voice the remake. I doubt that’ll happen sadly
Feels like they had time to go in and refine the world just add small things or changes bits and bobs to make it more cohesive and lived in. Like replacing the giant boxes with retractable windows or adding computers to hallways and changing heights on the wheeels it all looks great
I like that the game might make a comeback with the remake, but theres just tiny details that makes me wish they didnt remove, sectioned painting and thinning was fun, but now its just 1 blast of the brush and it gets painted instantly, just small details like that is all, really hope that they clean up the details in the game since the game hasnt released yet, i look forward to it either way though lol
I am SO excited to play this on switch!!!!
Hmm, so to paint/thin with the brush is based on camera angles and camera pointing. That could get troublesome in some parts.
I LOVE EPIC MICKEY SO MUCH
R.I.P. good hud elements. I sure hope this demo is older than we think.
If the game ends up releasing in fall there’s thankfully about half a year to correct all of this stuff so hopefully they do.
I never really understood the hate for the new hud. I think it stays very true to the original while being new. I think it looks amazing honestly
@@Mon-Ark But that sketch book style for Mickey's face... I think the charm of that is what people are going to miss
I hope so too but honestly, I could live with that if that is the only thing that lost it‘s charm. Everything else in that demo looked so much more detailed, I didn‘t even notice it on first time watch because the game simply looked like that in my memory. If everything else improved I can live with a few set backs (also, mods on pc will probably bring it back relatively fast.)
Wow it looks even better
I can’t wait to play this Game on Switch.😃
They did the ONE thing right when it came to the remake, they made it brighter and more colorful where you can actually see where you’re going!
The Fire Bridge looks both good and bad at the same time. I love how the Fire Bridge looks more like an actual bridge, instead of just a dragon, but I don't like how stale the head looks, being more like a statue that was plastered onto a moving ride.
The design just kinda looks both off and on, you know?
Honestly the only thing I wish they kept was the whole paper hub, since Mickey has a paint brush and it make sense. If they do have an option to make the classic hub. Tho i wanna get the game anyways since i couldn’t beat it on the Wii.
Wii version looks shockingly good. I guess it is emulated with high res settings?
No emulation it just looked that good already
Epic mickey just in general was always considered shockingly good for it's time. They really showed what the graphics could do on the Wii
@@seanano2434 Sonic and the Black night impressed me and Grass
The characters didn’t talk in the game. They only mumble just like in classic Lego games.
its different yeah but its not different that makes me think the old version is better. just gives me more of a reason to play it
I hope there’s an option to remove gus’ dialogue or something
3:39 I prefer the Wii Cow than the new one. It has the drawn look to it compared to the new one it looks more animated. But its a small nitpick.
Noboodys talking about the soundtrack?
The realistic Smoke from what seems to be a level based on the earliest cartoon styles is kinda out of place compared to what the original version of the game tried to portray for it. Yeah, some things did had to change for the game overal, but other things feel like they didn't think far ennough with what was changed.
as a teenager this is my first time seeing a refurbish come from a game from MY childhood and it feels surreal honestly
I can't fucking wait to see the faces of all the gamers and live streamers see the Clocktower. I have high hopes for it. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Edit: Saw the new move at the end, the ground smash. Wasn't in the old game, but does seem interesting. Hopefully it doesn't get exploited too much to where problem solving parts for beginners and others seem too easy. Like how near the end, you probably would've used the crates to stand on one of them, and then wait and time it right to get to those last E-tickets. Then again, I might just be rambling. Still hope it does good with no microtransactions.
😉😜
Oh wow. I thought rebrushed was just gonna be a remaster but its actually more of a remake. Theres new models, new map layout, new animations and even new camera angles for cutscene.
I get this game released in 2010 and was limited by technology. Look at Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon at say it again
Yep the dragon does in fact look less intimidating now compared to the original dragon's design but still I can not wait for the remake.
Never played the original, but by comparing here it does legitimately look much better, but as a natural progression of what's possible with new tech and experience, and not just trying to make it more 'realistic' or completely different or stubbornly similar. It's a good idea to make tweaks where they could be used, too. I hope there are more remakes that take this approach to polish and improve instead of trying to reinvent the wheel or stay stagnant (Can I get some remakes to make Sonic Adventure era games playable but maintain the charm of the style...? Please...?)
I will say though that while I really like the new dragon design, it's so drastically different from the original it seems like an unnecessary overhaul that feels more like trying to make it more 'cute'. I don't know much about Asian cultures so I don't know if it's more accurate to the style they were going for -- I can accept it if so -- but somehow I doubt it, since it looks much more western and cutesy. Making it static is a weird choice and disappointing, cause I know I've always super enjoyed big beasties in my games, and just a little bit of movement goes a long way to making something feel real, even if you go with the mechanical angle. Giving it a flat back with a bridge, though, was an excellent idea and ties in a cool element with comfortable gameplay nicely.
I think I like the fire bridge from the Wii version better?
woow, epic micky the wii is realy "darks" hahah, when i was a child this game made me feal fear AJAJAJ
Oh the 2D segment is ruined the characters are supposed to be flat
In my opinion I like the original more
More eerie
There should be a Oswald DLC where you can play as him
Honestly I think 10 year old me was better at this game than the guy who played the remake
Epic Mickey (the original) still looks very good!
I don't think to buy rebrush, but I could play again EM
Something that is wrong with the remake
Not scary
The double jump looks unfinished when you grab a Mickey ticket it sounds different
The thinner is not visible I can’t tell if i need paint or not
When you paint a enemy doesn’t even seem to look like the original
This all i found i the video this is not a hate comment im just hoping this is just a beta version of the game cause this is not epic.
Hey hey hey Bane I have an question remember making this ua-cam.com/users/shortshSH86nmHtgc
Because it was funny as ever. And I was wondering will there be anymore?
We need epic mickey 2 on switch, this looks so good
Единственный минус. Это музыка в проекторе
Hmm...strange that, despite the obvious effort put into redoing the graphics, they didn't decide to add voice acting to the dialogue.
Wow this looks light years better than the original
I don’t think we’re gonna have voice acting
the real question what if riggy not evil but theirs a evil spirit in him
The actual levels look mostly fine, but I really dislike how the new Steamboat Willie sections look. They look really cheap now and kinda lose a lot of the style the originals had with mixing 2D and 3D together for characters and cheap looking foreground and background elements
This game deserves all the love Disney didn’t give it. Truly was ahead of its time
No matter which side you look at, you can say for sure that, in terms of terrible graphics, Nintendo never disappoints! 🥶
thank god i sucked at this game as a kid that dragon wouldve traumatized me
BOO, no dialogue. That is minus 1 point bringing it down to 14/10.
Can not wait for this 😍🤩
I love this game, but I hope to God no Nintendo please don't have the same awful camera please
Game looks bad on switch hoping the other plats are better
Glad i missed this one on the wii. Now i can play a better version..I wonder how much better the other consoles will look compared to the Switch? ....Later
4K 60fps
@destroyermcw626 I only own a Switch, so no choice but the Switch. It's better than nothing, I guess
@@alpha-boss Ok that’s understandable and yeah better than nothing.
Once again fools think this is a total overhaul. It’s not. Original game
Made beautifully in HD. Compressed to analog Wii. Nintendo waits for a slot. They export to HD. Dupes think it’s a total overhaul. It’s not. Simple button mapping. Smh.
The only downside i see or should i say hear is there's no voices only mumble i was hopeing rebrushed would include voices
Maybe they could be added in some way
@@Niko.one.shot. you mean by mode or something like that
Tbf there's still no release date this could be a pretty early demo. Assuming it is coming out in 2024 still there's like like half a year plus to add things like voices, better HUD elements and lighting fixes. But we'll see
I know I already made my own version before mostly anyone else did: ua-cam.com/video/QS5bITE-S7Y/v-deo.htmlsi=mnYuXnVG5x2cf413 But, I wanted to see how a professional does it since I got the Wii game walkthrough locations from UA-cam. It was kind of hard to keep track of the Nintendo Switch test, since it didn’t have to be exactly like each other in MY opinion. Besides, I had to edit out some of the cutscenes.
I still think yours was very good! Also thanks.
