Victor's Race is a new coaster. Plopsa asked Zierer to build the same exact coaster from years ago. Only for Plopsa, Zierer builded the old Tivoli model a few years ago.
the lyrics of the song at the bunny ride actually tell you how to do the "leprachaun dance": you have to turn around, pound your feet to the ground, wave your hands in the air and sit like a goose. So maybe that's why people looked weird at you for dancing the macarena instead haha
The reason for all the "random" theming and the truss' everywhere is that the park is basically the theme park of a major children's tv-show producer, called studio 100. Kinda like how Walt Disney World is the physical version of all the Disney movies, only Plopsa's in a way smaller scale.

Fifteen years ago I went to Plopsaland with my parents for the first time. It was my first and only time so it's really cool and weird at the same time to see how much this park has grown after all those years. Also, I was nine y/o so I only remember bits and pieces (although my Mum still has a home video).
The song you were dancing the macarena to (at the bunny rabbit ride) was a massive, massive hit when it came out, it managed to stay in the top 100 selling singles for 64 weeks.
I actually worked there too and it's one of the most annoying attractions to work on and constantly hearing the same music drives you nuts. But i never showed my discourage and kept smiling lol.

Anubis the ride won Diamond Themepark Award for best coaster in Belgium for 5 years in a row for a reason. What do you think ? You think it could be one of the better coasters in Europe ?
Side note: the original Viktor's Race was actually demolished at the end of 2013. They then built a new coaster with the same layout and name to replace the old one. So, this coaster is not just well maintained, it's actually a relatively new coaster. And Vleermuis (the Batflyer) actually consists of two separate coasters, so that would also be two credits.

Dover-dunkirk is always a bumpy ride as i did the journey on the ferry last year. Wifi on the ferry was epic aswell, hope you didnt get too seasick! Awesome vlog as usual and im looking forward to the vlogs to follow
The Names on the signs are in dutch and french, so it's just "De Bomstammetjes" which translates to "the logs" :D Martin seems like a fun guy! Watching this vlog for the first time now, watched the Movie Park Germany one a couple a months ago (from the same trip). This has to be one of my favourite Theme Park Worldwide videos, so enjoyable. Around 3/4 years ago I used to love this channel, and as I go through phases on UA-cam I stopped watching, only watching videos now and again. This channel is excellent still today having watched the recent videos, but being able to watch vlogs like this from over 5 years ago is so great. Idk if one of the account users will see this message, but I really appreciate the content this account has given us over the years.
Thanks for another vlog. Your first impressions are the absolute best. Suggestions for the future: When you travel abroad (states or wherever) you should do more footage from "around" the park area, shopping, resorts, airports, travel, etc -- Would be good for you guys to get an extra "bonus footage" video for more views and your viewers get a better insight into your trip and the areas around the park (hotels, etc) --- anyways awesome vids please keep them coming.
I loved how you danced the macarena in the queline for bunny rabbit ride, very fun to watch! it's called Kabouterdans (Gnome dance) and does have own silly dance routine as well, performed by characters you also saw in the Bos of Plop darkride, theyre from a kids tv show. And the signs are bi-langual Dutch/french, but since they are so close to England they might want to add some english too. WOuld love to go back to this park, ve only been there once as a kid but they have added some ineresting rides since thn for sure!

Been to Plopsaland yesterday. It is a nice Park. What they need is a rapid and a second Darkride. Anubis is brilliant. But you have to try Kärnan at Hansa Park . It is by far the best Gerstlauer.
Plopsaland used to be Melipark ... Melipark, bought by a honey-farmer was a park themed around flowers, bees and the mother-icon Maya the Bee. It opened in 1935. Outside was a honey-store, believed to sell the best honey in all of Belgium, made by bees in and around the park. In 1999 it turned to Plopsaland. Plopsa is a new installment famous from the Flemish tv-show Gnome Plop in his milk hostel. Glad to see they keep some of the bee-history :)
You guys need to try a Star Flyer here in the US. If you think 150 ft tall is scary, try the two 400 ft tall Star Flyers known as the Texas SkyScreamer found at Six Flags Over Texas or the New England SkyScreamer at Six Flags New England.

Theme Park Worldwide, the next time you'll visit Plopsaland, you have to look up 'Studio100' on the internet. Then you'll understand the theming and the music more, because it's all based on tv shows produced by Studio100. But again a great vlog! :-D

Hey Shawn, about the batflyer or vleermuis like we call it in Belgium, it is not sbno, but as if it is a very old and unique attraction, there are a lot of technical problems, most of the time its closed. and no new models will be built. It was designed by Caripro, but that firm is now taken over by Vekoma. I don't know what the problem is but it just seems to be more closed then open. but you'll have the best chance to ride it early in the morning. I must the warn you, the end is very rough :)
Update : plopsaland just got their permits from the city "De Panne" they can open heide the ride in 6 months but they need to place sound barriers on the ride wich already has been done and it doesnt look to bad its kind've like balder in Liseberg now. So it will open this summer season
One of Plopsa's other parks, Holiday Park has another Anubis-themed ride with their drop tower. Instead of being well-themed, however, it just loops the theme tune in a dark room in the queue line. Of all the ride themes, it's probably the least fitting I've seen.
'De Vleermuis' with means 'the bat' is still operational (only is good weather conditions) but lines get realy long realy fast. I onse waited 3houwers to get in it.
I laughed so hard at you guys trying to pronounce 'boomstammetjes' 😂 We in Flanders use the woord boomstammetjes for every logflume,it translates to 'little logs' 😄
The only correct translation indeed ! :-) Somewhere else, I read a commenter who said it means log flume, which is NOT the case ! It means indeed little logs. (Boomstam = log/tree-trunk , word extention - 'metje' = gramatical diminutive .. ;-) ) ..... and "southern-Dutch' version of the same word would be : boomstammekes :-)
Plopsaland looks amazing. I particularly liked the rabbit ride.
Anubis though looks amazing.

First coaster looks like a great starter coaster for kids and to get them in the mood for the launch type of coaster. Loved it.

Have you visited Bellewaerde near Ieper, Belgium? I HIGHLY recommend it, absolutely stunning park, great atmosphere, great rides and animals too.

the names of the coasters were in 2 languages written on those bords the upper section was dutch and the bottom section was france

Actually the British show house of anubis is a remake of the original Dutch show het huis Anubis. So the ride is named after the original dutch show.
