I dig it man. Straight to the point and shows how each knob shapes the sound. Probably the easiest to follow vid on the pedal I’ve seen. Funny because that’s damn near how I have mine set 😁
I have thought about this, but man that would a challenge. But then again, if you read flemmings notes they essentially used the same settings on one PEQ on Justice as MoP, then the 2nd PEQ was different so it may not be too bad. The bigger challenge is that one of my PMEQ's is the early one and the other is a much later one. Both dial in completely differently, so my settings may not translate well for other folks.
@maczepa I've heard it's a good pedal and have seen some gold examples with it for sure. Haven't tried it myself since it's a bit more expensive. The PMEQ, as I mentioned in the video, is specifically made to mirror how the EQF-2 was used on Master of Puppets. So if you're sinply chasing that tone you might as well spend a but less and grab a PMEQ
Gotta get one drooling ! Sucks fractal doesn’t have an effects loops function. Do we know on justice if it’s fact flemming used rane eqs. I never got to as him. Also I have a theory James speakers were the bass version of the g12-65. Love to shoot the shit with you about this sometime. Long live tallica 🤘🏻
@@totc6196 fractal doesn’t have a virtual EQF-2? I can only go by Flemmings notes and all it shows for most of justice is the amps and two EQF-2’s so very difficult to say about the rane eq. Any time I play MoP or Justice, my 1984 T75’s sound closer than any of my other speakers
@@xounlistedxox it does the problem is you can’t but it in the loop so the effect is to drastic I’ve tried everything. I say on puppets and ride if you look at the caps they are larger and they have that tone. I think justice and up were the original g12 vintage.
@@xounlistedxox makes sense as they don’t vary much from the 65s. I’ve even heard they just stuck a different back on them same speaker 777 cone I believe.
@@totc6196 the only notes said “Cabs 300w” so I assumed T75’s. For justice my guess based on tone experimenting would be a blend of speakers including v30 & t75
They make pedal versions of the Furman PQ-3 and PQ-4 pedals. This one you have is the 3 band EQ, but they make also the 4 band EQ model which I think Metallica and Megadeth used in their marshall amps effects loops? Most marshall amps didn't have effects loops so metallica and megadeth must have modified their marshalls to have an effects loops?

Glad to help!
Best Video to understand this thing finally🎉

Very good
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Do you plan to do a video to demonstrate how you use two of these EQs in series?

Great vid 👍🤘

Check out the Ibanez PTEQ 5 band parametric EQ.
Total game changer and doesn't break the bank!!
I haven't heard of this one, is this a pedal or rack mount? Once I got the Aphex units I stopped looking at other PEQ's
I’m thanking for my personal taste. I would like the mid deep somewhere halfway between their settings and the amp dry.
@michaelallen981 only one way to find out! :)
I use the Empress Parametric EQ deluxe. Its more powerful then this Master EQ.

I interviewed Flemming he doesn’t remember like details with speakers and cabs.

A lot of guys were running the eqs right into the front of the amp
@@iPotatoTone yes they did both at the same time a Furman PQ in front of the amp and also a Furman EQ in the effects loop of the amp
I haven't spent much time digging into the Marshall aspect of things, but I'd imagine that time will be coming at some point!
I've tried that before as well and it has a much different effect on the tone since it's EQ'ing your guitar tone, not the amp
