No doubt this JW triplecaster will increase in value but who can guess if it's 10 years or 30 years from now. My 1960 pink strat was a pawn shop find when I was 14 yrs old in 1973. No guy wanted it cuz of the color. I paid $275.00 and you can imagine the names I was called. I couldn't afford it today cuz of its 'all original value'. Is the JW triplecaster worth it?. Yes. I never thought my pink 1960 would be worth over $25k. (Probably more like 7 x's more than $275.00 cuz it's rare color) For me the JW triplecaster has too much going on for a 65 yr old. Heck. My peddle board is confusing enough. My grandson would argue 'Not for a budding young 16 yr old'. My advice to a young aspiring JW fan is to buy and not beat it up. Play it but don't abuse it and in 45+ yrs you just might have the value of my pink 1960 strat. Btw. Don't alter it in any way, shape or form. I was mostly Meh about the White Stripes at first, didn't know much about Jack White. Then, I rented a video called, "It Might Get Loud". It featured Jack White, Jimmy Page, and The Edge from U2, just sitting around in a studio together playing and talking about their guitar influences. After watching it, and listening to them, I got a great deal more respect for Jack White and The Edge. Obviously, my draw to the video was Page, but the apparent intelligence and raw talent of the other two musicians surprised me. You never really know how intelligent or talented a musician is just by listening to the commercially available music. I highly recommend people watch that movie.
I feel like Jack White comes out looking the best from It might get loud too. Just the most interesting and fun player of the group. Not to say Jimmy Page isn't incredible or denying his influence especially on Jack but I think Jack is the most unique and endearing player of the group
@JRHamify I absolutely agree. His back story and creativity was extremely impressive. I wasn't a big U2 fan either but I garnered a much higher respect for the Edge as a musician. Jack White definitely comes out on top though.
Sorry for the dissenting opinion, but I saw the video a few years back and when it was over, I couldn’t figure out how the Edge and Jack White could even be playing on the same stage as Jimmy Page. I just don’t get it - please someone enlighten me, and this isn’t trolling. Maybe I’m too old and was brought up listening to the best in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
@craigmurray1953 Difference in musical styles. You have a preference for Page. As do I. However, I can still appreciate White's creativity and the Edge's technical expertise. I still can't get over someone calling themselves, "The Edge", but... you know, to each their own.
Go get yourself the most beat to hell Fender telecaster you can find. Make sure it has a gloss maple fretboard. Don't spend more than $400-$500. Put some decent pickups in, set up on the strings, and make sure the wiring is in working order. You'll come out way ahead. Even if you copied all the parts on this thing, you'd still be way ahead to build it from a beat up Telecaster and upgraded parts.
This will be the guitar we all look back at in 40 years and think why didn't I buy one and put It in the wardrobe because it's going to be worth a fortune later !
So will the amp. I’ve got to get the amp before Fender suddenly discontinues it. Most signature model Fender amps don’t stay in production for very long.
@@charlesbolton8471Fender has said the guitar is limited but the amp is an unlimited production model. How long that lasts is anyone’s guess, but for now they are making them like they make any other “standard” model like a Deluxe Reverb.

I think this thing is fabulous! There's no chance I'll buy one but i really like the pickup variations and their sounds. One thing I noticed which might be completely off topic is that Trogly's guitar has the Bigsby wire bar with the bend dipping towards the bottom of the guitar - but when i saw Jack's it had the bend facing upwards (towards the player face which i thought was somewhat odd). Anyway, it would be great if someone who has played the wang-bar in both orientations could chime in and let us know the difference in how it feels and plays.
Oh yeaaa this is one of the most beautiful teles on the planet. As a huuuge Jack White fan (and telecasters fan), when I saw him live, playing orange prototype of this guitar back in 2019 I believe, I was freaking drooling. Orange prototype still looks better imo, but black&white is classy af
@jeffmckinnon5842 Trogly demonstrated in this video that you won't 😂 Jack's sound is literally gretsch filtertron humbucker into overdriven fender amp, often with big muff or zvex mammoth and occasional digitech whammy
The hipshot tuner is really really good. Convenient enough to use while playing as a sonic technique, but also stable enough to hold for a set. Really pleased with my experience of them.
Re. the way it is chambered: at 07:45, inside view of cavity you can just spot the glue along the edges. It’s the backside that’s glued on after routing. Similar to a Tele Thinline assembly.
The endoscope is really important to me, Trogly. 🙏 I wanna see inside EVERYTHING: from the Airline Tuxedo, to the Guild Aristocrat, to ALL the Gretsches…
Salutations Austin! Interestingly specked Jack White signature Triple Caster. I am surprised that they have a warning label concerning the powder coating, typically powder coated metal parts are very durable and not prone to chipping and flaking off, since the pickup covers are made of metal, that shouldn’t be a concern, and if the tuner knobs are also metal, once again that should not be concerning, however if any plastic parts have been powder coated, which I doubt, that may be an issue, but powder coating involves statically charging the parts, and then it will attract an even layer of the powder, which is then baked onto the part and is very similar to a baked enamel finish, it is resistant to chipping and flaking, unless it was done improperly. It appears that the body of this model is actually based on a Thinline Telecaster body, except that the “f” hole has been omitted. The filth knob is something completely new to me on any guitar, and I have not seen one on any other device either, so this is a big surprise, I hope that it is durable to be dependable for many years, however, I would recommend that a spare one is procured for any new owners of one of these instruments, because I suspect that it would not be easy to find a replacement, in the event that it fails in the future. The lack of walnut in the back of the neck is a very exclusive specification, that and the 12” fretboard radius really sets these apart from other Telecasters. The hip shot tuning option can be very useful for those who like to quickly drop the tuning on the E string, I have an Epiphone Joe Pass Signature Emperor II that has one on it, and I have found it to be very useful. It sounds great and has more sound options than any standard Telecaster. This is definitely the most unconventional Telecaster that Fender has ever produced, that I am aware of. Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸
I used to have a Cabronita Tele with Fender made "Filtertron" pickups that were copies of Gretsch pickups. Sold the guitar to a buddy of mine and regret it ever since (RIP Perry). It was a "Made In Mexico" model with a burst finish.
I'm very curious to hear those kind of pickups. Filtertrons are underrated. Makes me wonder how fender did theirs. Sorry about your friend my man. That sucks.
@@mertmunson1417 if that bridge bucker is a filtertron (it looks like one, SLIGHTLY narrower than PAF, and deeper, but you can't see that without taking it out), then it's likely a Gretsch tron. Fender own (permanent licence, i believe) the guitar branch of Gretsch. 9 times out of 10 if a Fender comes stock with a filtertron, it's a Gretsch pickup. the other 1 in 10 is a custom shop Tele with a TV Jones tron in the neck.
I have one on my Steinberger bass, I like it, but it affects the tone. You definitely hear a difference in the string and can tell when you use the E vs the A string. It probably wouldn't be noticeable on a guitar.

Jack White has probably spent the good part of a decade figuring that thing out. I've seen quite a few prototypes over the years of him with these weird teles. Then you would see him a year later and he'd be like "it's the same guitar as last time but we added this and changed that and then repainted it. Doesn't matter if you love or hate the way it looks. Innovation is awesome. And the people saying it's hideous. If it were up to those types of people we'd be playing the same sh:t that they had in the 50s. I remember in the 80s people saying that Floyd Rose' and EMG's were hideous. Fuq how it looks. I want the sound. I want the function and playability. It's an instrument. A tool. Not a piece of furniture. Get that bish playing and sounding right. We'll worry about the looks later. Not my style of guitar. But I'd love to try it and see what it's all about. Very interested in checking one out.
@@Alex_Mitchell sure. I do whatever I want. Everyday. And one of those things is, I enjoy staying up on Gibson and Fender guitars. I hope everyone will one day experience the joy of doing whatever they want.
I like it. Original and sounds good. Just wish it had a nitro finish. At that price and with powder coating that will wear off, would have been good to have the finish wear off well too.
I have a Hipshot extender on my bass. Can be useful when you want to go just a little lower. Easy to flip in and out while playing. Should work nicely for drop D. Should only take a few minutes to get it to tune both correctly but the nut slot needs to be working smoothly.
I started out thinking this thing was just gimmicky, but I’ll be damned if this didn’t turn out to be a tone monster. I’m completely sold… except for the “buying one” part of it. It doesn’t fit my 64 year old style… or lack thereof. It’s like Jack White; unique, edgy, brash, and a little crazy. Oh yeah, and cool as hell!
I say go for it, it's really not that flashy and people don't care anyway, I see way too many people saying they love it but they won't buy it, and that's how we end up with only boring strats and teles because people don't dare to be ever so slightly different. You only live once, you'll never regret owning a slightly flashy guitar on your deathbed. And again, this is not a pink flying V either, it's just a black and white tele with 3 pickups
@@the_hippykiller22 You make some excellent points, sir! I love the LOOKs of the guitar, it's more the "tonal" style I was talking about. I prefer straight-up clean tones, and although I'm sure this guitar can handle just about anything, my guitar dollars would probably be better spent elsewhere. The vast majority of the options on this guitar would most likely go unused (by me, anyway). But make no mistake. I think this guitar is badass.
Big Jack White fan, his solo career has been fascinating. It is kind of ironic that this has elements of Steve Morse's Frankenstein Tele but I kind of think those two guys would probably find a lot of common ground. Jack White hugging Jimmy Page at the end of It Might Get Loud is so moving. I feel like Jimmy Page may have passed on a few Riffs in that moment!
Guessing he left the bridge and saddles unpainted is because that's where you get your "Tele twang" from. Guessing if you painted it, the paint might dull that twang a bit.
I'm almost certain the white top and bottom of the case is Jack's nod to the old Supro/Airline cases from the 60's. They have the same look, obviously minus the logo and white handle.
Jack White is such a BAMF that these super unique guitars will be worth a fortune in a few decades. I imagine Fender will make around 5000 of this model and of that 5000, 4600 will be played way outside of the Mint Rating, and out of the 400 left over, 350 will be in good condition, and the 50 that remain they will be Mint, and out of the Mint 50's, 25 won't have the case candy, and out of the 25 that remain, only 10 will be stashed in a secret Fender vault, and only 3 will still be in the Box it shipped in.. so yea, they are worth buying!
Whilst working for City of Detroit I not only drove past Yorba Hotel a million times, I also hooked up the bar on Cass with a temporary water service the night White Stripes played that a record exec was present
yeah, bought one, was afraid of having buyer remorse, but it's actually a legit GREAT guitar with great tone and really nice neck, totally worth the price
@deanmccaskill5495 yeah definitly like it, the only problem is that i am afraid of chipping away that white coating on the center position mic with my strumming ! Other than that it’s a really well made instrument Something trogly didn’t show in his video is how you can fine tune your sound with the volume and tone, and use the « straight to jack » from time to time to get that full sound ! Something that surprised people i showed it too ! It’s like a mini pedal to get that « accent » on solo and go back to « muffled » chord progression after And clearly the neck is not something i am used to, i tend to find many neck too beefy (i have little hands i guess) bit not on this one, it’s really ergonomic to my playstyle !
@mspirit no, at least not in europe, but i ordered the 1st of november and only got the guitare the 8th december, i think they make them as order come Mine is around the 300th made from the serial number, and from the serial number size i guess they can go as high as 9999 made( But i would expect more something like 3333 to stick with the triple thing)
Jack White is obsessed with threes. Back in the 90s he worked as an upholsterer. The name of the business was Third Man Upholstery. He's kept the Third Man name alive, that's his record company. Threes turn up in all sorts of places, like the White Stripes color scheme - he kept to using red, white and black. He loves the number three.
The Telecaster is a guitar that I have only owned one of, and I sold it quite quickly. However, this really has my attention, and I'm finding myself desperately wanting one!
Would like to see Rhett Skull go over this one!! His unique critical analysis of instruments would be very valuable as to what you get out of an instrument like this. Probably wouldn't hear from him about it until he's had it for about 6 months but,.. worth the wait. Also, Rick Beato working with him to go over it as they stretch it's legs. The options seem limitless as a one all guitar that actually fits the bill. That's new.
@@mentalcog2187 - It's all good. I had to chuckle, too! 😄 He also kinda deserved that typo: He never says "Hi! How's it going everybody?" or anything to that effect to his viewers at the start of _any_ of his videos! 🙄 😄 He does have a great channel, though! 😉👍
That P90 in the middle sounds fantastic, nearly makes up for the weak sound neck pickup. It wouldn’t take a lot to make an adapter so you could mount a tele control knob onto a Gibson three way switch.
Gibson should take notes. Getting a big name, catering to them fully, and releasing a relatively affordable signature with some unique and high end specs.
I think the switch knob's "direct" mode is less about the electronics passively modifying the guitar's tone tone and more about giving the guitar two "modes", especially for players and setups who don't use a lot -- if any -- pedals. You can set your volume and tone for a more low-gain or rhythm sound, driving your amp less or having a darker tone, then flip to direct to bypass that and go into a "lead" or full-gain mode. This is easy to do if you have a floorboard or even just a volume pedal, but Jack strikes me as one of those people who keeps things at a minimum and probably doesn't have much more than a tuner on stage.
I feel like that knob switch looks cool but the weight of the knob is an issue. It's gonna drop it into the low position every time you bounce that guitar. yeah?
Definitely, that way you can have a quieter and/or darker tone in middle position and then flick to ‘no load’ position for instant full-on mode. Very little tonal difference when the pots are full on, as shown in this demo which kinda misses the point.
I find it humorous to hear you describe Jack White to people who have never heard of Jack White as if there were people who have never heard of Jack White.
First impression visually was yikes' there's a lot going on ...but in use, very versatile ...that bridge pup has a great deep tone and that P90 is a powerhouse. For me, all the white needs to be black ...but then, I'm not Jack White ...a great Tele alternative '
wonder why he chose that switch, Tesi makes a few different Sanwa style arcade switches. definitely a cool guitar, I did something similar to this with an Ibanez RG as far as the wiring and electronics. mine has a fixed Bridge so I do not have any issues with the Hipshot xtender, seems as if they were using that in conjunction with a vibrato system it would act funny but I've never tried it so I'm not exactly sure about that. that is definitely one of the most interesting guitars I've seen aside from EVH's Frankenstein, great video my man. Thank you for showing this.
This thing seems like the Swiss Army Knife of Tonal Guitars. I think I love the way it sounds. I'm not too keen on the looks of it, but that may well just need to grow on me a bit. I would love for Gibson do this exact same thing on a Thunderbird!
3500 dollars for a non-custom shop guitar with a polyurethane finish with no wood grain is an insane ripoff. Even if you don't care about nitro or flame tops, there's a reason why guitars with those features are more expensive, and guitars that don't have those features should be cheaper. 3500 is crazy for this guitar.
@@melvined lol, those pick-ups are mass produced on the same machines they mass produce all the others on. Tim Shaw isn't hand winding your pickups, you tool.
1:22 - The guitar Jack is playing in that photo does actually have the white coating also on the bridge! Otherwise, it looks identical to this one. Very cool guitar indeed! 🤩 Maybe they could've added a white frame to the bridge pick-up, to make it as wide as the other two!? Also, is the control plate still a metal one or just white plastic, too?
Hi Trogly, did you see the Premier Guitar rig rundown of Jack White? Host John Bohlinger plays this triplecaster and breaks the tremolo arm off of the guitar. What did you think of the arm when you played the guitar? Seems like it isn’t very sturdy AT ALL!
Well Jack has been obsessed with the number 3 long before that. White Stripes had 3 colors (red white and black) had 3 instruments ((at first 🙄) (piano drums guitar)) table needs 3 legs to stand etc etc. I used to be a huge stripes fan sorry. Jack's work after that on the other hand...
With Fender maple board necks they are finished after fretting of course. And phase cancellation is more severe the closer the two signals are - If they were identical you'd hear nothing. By using different pickups and different positions it's going to limit the amount of cancellation and the make less of an audible difference between in and out of phase.
its actually pretty simple once you have it in your hands. Flick the knob down and it is just a regular telecaster but with unique tones. Imagine a 5-way switch with an S-1 added - THEN it would be complicated haha
I think you slightly missed the key with that Direct switch. If you were playing a verse with the tone and volume rolled off, you hit that switch to brighten up and add volume to the signal without hitting a pedal.
Jack sure came a long way from those Airline and other Sears level guitars. It's not a critique... just an observation. I'm a fan of his playing and he can play whatever he wants. Ok, interweb?
I remember an article where he said he got fed up and said something along the lines of “why am I fighting these guitars? Why am I working so hard?”. Understandable, a lot of those old department store guitars are pretty miserable to play.
That actually seems like a well thought out guitar. I'm not sure about the flip knob thing. I might would rather just have a micro switch, but it's certainly unique. I think a lot of people will like the fact that the powder coat will quickly relic and be unique to each person. The CuNiFe sounds better than I anticipated too. Not bad at all.

So if Fender is claiming that powder coat will scratch easily they are either full of it or using the absolute worst power coater out there.
Maybe it’s just fender being careful of litigious Americans. The last fender i bought came with a cancer warning.
I think it's probably just them trying to cover the lowest common denominator in terms of issues.

First off. I've been subscribed to your channel for about 3+ years and your chops have gotten really good. Keep it up Trog. It brings a smile to my face. As a retired music teacher, performer, producer I'm impressed with you and your channel. Great blood sweat and tears you've given.
For $3500.00 I can pay 3 mortgage payments or buy a Caribbean vacation for my wife and me. Don't lose the case candy cuz it's big value down the road. Life moves fast. Did I ever think I would be commenting on my life on your channel? Heck no! I grew up when the Internet wasn't even thought of. Gasoline was 25 cents a gallon. I had a home made mini bike with a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine and me and my buddies all drove VW bugs. My advice to the current youngsters. Don't mod your guitars. Keep all the case candy. Practice practice practice and live each day honestly and give back more than you get, like it's your last day on earth. May Jesus bless you as he's done for me, my children and grandchildren. Now keep on rocking that Jack White triplecaster!

The older I have gotten the more I realize the the ones that will listen to my advice are the ones that don’t need it and the ones that need it are the ones that won’t listen to it.

I have a Gibson special Nighthawk that’s basically i bought because 1: it was a Gibson different than a Les Paul and I couldn’t find any ES335s for cheap, and this was basically being sold from my CAPA high school for $200. 2: it was made the same year i was 😌 , 1992.
So, now just over 30 years old and not even in perfect condition ive been offered $1300 for it.

The yellow “Fender” logo on the case is like on his signature PanoVerb amp.
Definitely a Third Man Records nod!
My first thought on the non-durablility of the hardware was John Bohlinger breaking the Bigsby on Jack White’s guitar on Rig Rundown. 😜
But he also was attempting dive-bombing with that Bigsby! 😅
Love having tons of tonal options that are unique like this
I was mostly Meh about the White Stripes at first, didn't know much about Jack White.
Edge is all pedals and noise, thats my opinion, white and page made the video
I am a SUCKER for weird ass guitars and this is the definition of weird. Do I have the money for it? No. Would I spend it if I did? FUCK YES!
Same bro
I actually saw this tonight at Guitar center, it's a bit much for my taste, but you have to give him credit for extreme creativity. Im interested in the sound tho.
Watched the Premier Guitar ' Rig rundown ' on Jack's new gear , I was impressed , and now your review gets more in depth , the Jack White Tele is like a Swiss Army ' JACK ' knife , pretty damn cool , I love the pickups and the whole aesthetic , it sounds killer , especially that bridge humbucker ! Thanks Trogly !
He said, "Fabulous."... See, I told you it was gay.
And if you buy one of these, you will sound just like Jack White!
@jeffmckinnon5842 Trogly demonstrated in this video that you won't 😂
Jack's sound is literally gretsch filtertron humbucker into overdriven fender amp, often with big muff or zvex mammoth and occasional digitech whammy
The pickups sounds great
The hipshot tuner is really really good. Convenient enough to use while playing as a sonic technique, but also stable enough to hold for a set. Really pleased with my experience of them.
Re. the way it is chambered: at 07:45, inside view of cavity you can just spot the glue along the edges. It’s the backside that’s glued on after routing. Similar to a Tele Thinline assembly.
good eye!
The endoscope is really important to me, Trogly. 🙏 I wanna see inside EVERYTHING: from the Airline Tuxedo, to the Guild Aristocrat, to ALL the Gretsches…
I love it when people do something different and imaginative. It's art after all.
Regarding how the routed it: If it's chambered like a thinline Tele they rout out the back of the guitar and then put a laminated back on.

The bridge pickup is a Filter’Tron.
That's what I thought at first. But he said it was more along the lines of a gold leaf
@@frankwebster9110 that's wrong, trogly is obviously not a Gretsch guy. Filtertrons are a Gretsch design
It also has a rail so its a bit of a hybrid of the filtertron design
@@attrition0 there are filtertrons with blades too, they're called supertrons
@fistovuzi thank you! Did not know that!
@@mertmunson1417 np. i have a very nice Japanese tele with trons. Gretsch Blacktops. rather nice mid-range pups.
This is the first I'm learning of those drop tuners on a six-string guitar. I was long aware of them being used on basses.
I have one on my Steinberger bass, I like it, but it affects the tone. You definitely hear a difference in the string and can tell when you use the E vs the A string. It probably wouldn't be noticeable on a guitar.
26:29 Trogly shockingly discovers outside sounds (dissonance) and rips into what is perhaps the coolest lick I’ve ever heard him play. Bit of history there. Well done!
I too thought that this guitar enhanced Trogly's lick quality! At first, I thought it was just me noticing. Don't tell the Trogmeister this... he'll start only playing this one guitar.
Those three different pickups sound VERY different...wow! I like the beefier middle pickup; it seems more useful
I think its just the white hardware that is powder coated.I could be wrong tho

20:12 that's not "small" humbucker, that's filtertrons pickup.
Which *is* a humbucker, in the sense that p90s are single coil pickups: not what you immediately think of, but still part of that wider family

Yeah my old Classic Player 60s strat is “12….awesome guitar
So you’re saying i should buy one and put it away for 10-15 years! Done

Really? Cool. You like it? It’s not something I’d buy but it’s pretty cool for sure.
@deanmccaskill5495 yeah definitly like it, the only problem is that i am afraid of chipping away that white coating on the center position mic with my strumming ! Other than that it’s a really well made instrument
Something trogly didn’t show in his video is how you can fine tune your sound with the volume and tone, and use the « straight to jack » from time to time to get that full sound ! Something that surprised people i showed it too ! It’s like a mini pedal to get that « accent » on solo and go back to « muffled » chord progression after
And clearly the neck is not something i am used to, i tend to find many neck too beefy (i have little hands i guess) bit not on this one, it’s really ergonomic to my playstyle !
Isn’t the guitar out of stock already?
@mspirit no, at least not in europe, but i ordered the 1st of november and only got the guitare the 8th december, i think they make them as order come
Mine is around the 300th made from the serial number, and from the serial number size i guess they can go as high as 9999 made( But i would expect more something like 3333 to stick with the triple thing)
You got ripped off. You would have been far better off with a used $500 Telecaster and $3,000 left over for an amazing vintage amp.
Awesome! Big fan of both Gibson and the Big F. Frankly Fender is putting out much more exciting stuff these days. Great playing too.

That P90 in the middle sounds fantastic, nearly makes up for the weak sound neck pickup.
It wouldn’t take a lot to make an adapter so you could mount a tele control knob onto a Gibson three way switch.
Don’t forget his work with The Raconteurs, Dead Weather and his production work (Van de Lear Rose)…JW is a treasure
Gibson should take notes. Getting a big name, catering to them fully, and releasing a relatively affordable signature with some unique and high end specs.
3500$ is not ‘relatively affordable’ lol
@ compared to Gibson? You get a base level guitar anywhere from $5k-$50k with no real specs to speak of. At least this has a lot going for it
If every fender guitar was in one guitar it would be this guitar❤
1:00 What Jack White? No triple string tree! Outrageous I tell you! 🎸 🌲 🌲 🌲😞
this is nice , But i want the combo amp he did with fender along with this.
powder coating is a very different process than chroming
It's gonna drop it into the low position every time you bounce that guitar. yeah?
i had a lot of fun watching this today. i can tell Austin is having fun too.
Hello from Alaska.

Triplecaster, not 5 way caster. Or maybe Jack hates 5 way switches. Or maybe he didn’t think of it 🤷🏻♂️
New interior camera is nice and sharp!

I like the bold black and white "color" scheme and the tonal options.
That knob switch is actually kind of cool.. I feel like I might like that better than split coil press pull or whatever that shits kind of annoying
16:00 At the 7:06 Endoscope View you can see that the back appears to be a separate piece of wood glued over the body chamber routes.
Cool Guitar
you use that direct switch when you've dialed in a custom volume tone combination (not just wide open)
Definitely, that way you can have a quieter and/or darker tone in middle position and then flick to ‘no load’ position for instant full-on mode. Very little tonal difference when the pots are full on, as shown in this demo which kinda misses the point.
I didn't notice it in the specs anywhere, but those are Gotoh InTune Saddles
You looked like you had the funnest time with that. What was with all the background hum though?
It would have been cool if they did a white lacquer finish on the whole neck, including the fretboard.
Love that middle position P90. Very gritty.
The Triplecaster is so weird but when I learned more about it I fell in love
wonder why he chose that switch, Tesi makes a few different Sanwa style arcade switches. definitely a cool guitar, I did something similar to this with an Ibanez RG as far as the wiring and electronics. mine has a fixed Bridge so I do not have any issues with the Hipshot xtender, seems as if they were using that in conjunction with a vibrato system it would act funny but I've never tried it so I'm not exactly sure about that. that is definitely one of the most interesting guitars I've seen aside from EVH's Frankenstein, great video my man. Thank you for showing this.
Hot damn, that thing SINGS

7:30 Man the new borescope camera has a waaaaaaaaay better picture!
The Triple theme is to do with his record label being called “Third man records”.
Well, he's Jack White III after all. ;)
@@lhmmhl No this is about his record label being called Third man records.
With Fender maple board necks they are finished after fretting of course.
And phase cancellation is more severe the closer the two signals are - If they were identical you'd hear nothing. By using different pickups and different positions it's going to limit the amount of cancellation and the make less of an audible difference between in and out of phase.
I like how unique it is, but there is almost too much going on for me. I’m overwhelmed :)
its actually pretty simple once you have it in your hands.
@@dlemon90 Very interesting because I remember in an interview he said that he kind of likes fighting his guitars. But I guess he got tired of that.
I don't like the black and white. The blue one with the strat headstock looks better to me.
The new J Mascis tele has that blue sparkle.
I'd probably build something similar if I got to make my own Tele. Split coil humbucker in the neck, p90 middle, and humbucker bridge.
