THANK YOU Kyle !!!!!! You And Ola are the ONLY ones that have TRULY Been able to dial in THE Tones ...This into the oversized Mesa cab is HEAVEN ...🤘😄😄😄😄😄😄😄🤘 And YEAH, F **K the Haters .... You are awesome sir !!!! Keep up the GREAT content !!!!!
OH YEAHHHH. Gotta love the Mesa Sound. The pull shifts and such are so useful at really shaping the tone. They put some of those in the Mark IV, but I think in the Mark IIC+ and Mark III, which had them all accessible, were able to be really dialed in. Also big thanks for the SG tones. I LOOOVE my SGs, and you really dialed in a great 80's hair sound.
Love your videos, you have a sense of humour that i understand..been playing guitar for 20 years and STILL cant afford a mesa-its my dream amplifier. Keep up the good work. (From South Africa)
Disregard all the hate! Your content is genuine and presented in a very relatable way and guitarists find a lot of value in it! Also, I own two thunderhorses, a mk IV and MkV so Im really happy to see that come out! Bring that shit out more!
sounds awesome man! Ya I was thinking the same thing about how shocking it must've been to hear those amps in person for the first time, it was so ahead of its time. When you think of it, if there was no Mark 2C+ we wouldn't have the metallica sound that we know any love. It basically has a boost pedal built into it because of the EQ knobs being ahead of the preamp/gain. The 5 band is where the actually eq'ing occurs.
Using just an SM57 was a feature I appreciated, bringing an element of consistency when all the other gear changes between videos, so I miss that. I might be in the minority, so either way I hope you do what makes you happy. I love your videos, and lack of cleans and solos - that's basically how I play too.
Everyone hates the uberschall twin jet but after a dial in with no external input from anyone else ever it just sounds amazing. Sometimes people talk about the gain level but what you realize when recording with it or mixing it with external audio anything more is really useless and it’s about the tone not the level of gain. I like it because it’s so bright and has a glamorous sizzle.
Disregard might be deemed negative comments. Your videos are always fun, they just keep getting better. For this one, say it's a little "mid forward" sounding, but double the guitars, mate it up with bass and drums providing the thunder, and these tones would probably be crushingly massive in real world context. Whatever "real world" really is. 🤔🎸🤘
The absolute joy in your facial expressions is infectious. Always has been. Glad you're digging it. I've watched you wrestling with an amp a couple of times before, and that's no bueno.
Great demo Kyle - love your stuff. The only thing I'd say is that I wish you'd have demoed it with the Mesa metal grill 2x12 behind you or a metal grill 4x12 (not sure if you have one of those).
Hetfield and COC had some cool mesa tones. Probably many more I don't even realise use it. I seem to remember scott burns took one to Brazil when recording sepultura, 'beneath the remains' I think.

Sounds great. I have owned a few Boogies in the past. For some reason they became more difficult to dial in a nice specific tone. I have come across original CII + a few times they wanted a lot for them as they are highly regarded.
As a BLUES LAWYER and major Gibson fan boy i find these tones to be insulting. Agressive tonality which manifests a PESANTRY rage. Things are going great in this country. I just bought my THIRD YACHT. Who has time for the RAGE MUSIC of the NE'ER'DOWELLS. If you played this type of music on one of my YACHT parties youd be BOOED off stage in favor of some more Clapton esque riffs. Perhaps "YOU LOOK WONDERFUL TONIGHT"?
How different in feel and tone is the PRS MT15 compared to the Mark VI? I really can't afford or carry big tube ammos anymore and the MT15 Mesa=-esque tones would still work in a band knowing that transformer size. Plus I am finally accepting indie shows have PAs now too so I will be heard. You should just play the Chug intro riffs to EC- Firestorm each video. At This point is that the most copied riff of all time next to the breakdown in Metallica- ONe?
Really great tones sir! QUESTION Though - I have this amp and I’m running into lots of hum noise whenever I have the input gain, treble, or lead gain above “7” … are you running a noise gate in this video? How are you handling the hum? Thanks for all the great content and please keep doing what you’re doing :)

I also have a Mark v 90w and thought had crossed my mind but I use all the different modes. Hence why I'll keep it. If you don't use all the modes then I'd say go for it or look at the jp2c
@@kreepthedestroyer The V is really good with the AT7 mod, that brings the old school style saturation because you can crank the treble more but it's tighter than the C+ and the JP2C
