Amazing. Thank you. Currently I spend a couple of hours a week with the family working on scale models, so this is inspiring. I never really want to retire, but when I have to, this is what I want to be doing all the time!
Thank you for watching and leaving the comment 🙂. Do you mean, your family members build models as well? This is so cool. My wife support my hobby but I do not have anyone nearby who build models:). Maybe you will start your own UA-cam channel when retirement comes? Cheers. Btw. I love to read comments like yours. So good to know there are people with the same passion:)
@@modelfun Yes I build and paint with my teenage kids. Videos like yours are what inspire us. You sharing the techniques makes for a great community. 🙌
it honestly depends on how you start. I started off with tamiya spray paints and dollar store acrylic paints and brushes. my builds usually never went above $100 including the model kit.
You do not have to start building 100$ kits... It is always better to learn on cheap and easy to assemble models, just to climb that learning curve first. After you have a good basic skill and set of tools and materials, you can move to more complicated models.
Didn't know about it. How the pilot got to the step? From the ground? It is very interesting. Do you have any reference with this step, a picture or blueprint?
Hi @Vic Parratt , thanks for watching, I'm happy you like it. I use wax, to keep the glue "fresh". This way, I can use the same drop of glue for few hours. Greetings 🙂
Thank you. Enjoy your build. The kit is by far the best I've pleasure to wrok with. The chipping fluid instruction says is is dedicated for acrylics, and it definatevly works best with them. But I have tried with lacquer based as well, and I think it also help to make scratches, but not so effectively.
The Aotake was a ckear, tinted corrosion protection coat, painted over bare aluminium. A better was to replicat this is to lay a coat of metalizer over the primer ot gloss base, then apply a mix of clear blue and green over that
Tamiya is one my my favorite companies for models
Yeah. The best I worked with do far. ;)

Bardzo dziękuję. To super zestaw, bez żadnych dodatków pozwala zbudować bardzo fajny model.
@@modelfun Kiedys będzie w mojej kolekcji, narazie jest kolejka. Tak, piekny zestaw.
i have been wanting to build model kit but it is too complicated and expensive for me. i will make this a hobby after i graduate because it seems fun

What a delightful build to watch! True work of an artist. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us ❤
Thank you Giovani. I'm glad you like it:)
Very nice!😊
I'm thinking of getting one or 3 of the Tamiya 32nd fighters...
Very well done, enjoyed immensely.
Thank you Daryl.
Zero has special hidden step bar to cockpit for pilot. because Zero's wing are made by so thin materials. That way pilot cannot walk on the wing.

Detroit here, really enjoyed your program, ZERO is so beautiful!

Hi there enjoyed the build immensely just have one question. What's the purpose of the ca glue in the wax? Best wishes Vic

Amazing job. I just bought this kit and ready for start. By the way chipping fluid is workable to lacquer based color?

The chipping is excessive considering the life of a zero is maybe 6 months.
Like I said in the video - I got carried away with the chipping. But I've seen worse Zeros as well :). Anyway, thank you for watching.
Cheers!
Ive seen old ww2 footage of a zero with even more wear and chipping than this model, so it's certainly a realistic level of weathering. Really cool
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. :)
