I laughed when you feed the fuel back into the jug from the tank. Nice of you to use your new hose pliers. They are great !!!!! Music when it fired up.
Fuel is £1.56LTR Here so can’t spill any lol too expensive. Thanks for waiting Bruce. Hope all is good your end
Most of the mowers I find with too much oil isn't overfilled with oil but the float in the carb is stuck and fuel just goes straight into the crankcase and then required an oil change. Awesome video btw.

I love your channel and really appreciate the time you must spend producing your videos. I have just looked up the manual for the 414 and the oil level is checked by not screwing in the dipstick so your oil level is low.
They take .465 litres from empty.

It's common mate.. I think people just put oil in as a last resort to try and getting it running

Another fantabulistic job Mick, I will say I'm a bit jealous of those fuel line pliers iv had my eye on a set of those for a while. That repair here, unfortunately would come close to the resale value in my area around $125 US

Good video. Just changed fuel line on mine £3.45 on eBay but still struggling to run. Fuel going when primed but will try take it apart like you’ve done and fingers crossed it will work. It’s lowly started to die now it’s crass cutting weather typically.

@@themowerman I don’t have the tiny files. I’ve just cleaned it all out no blockage still the same. Works but cuts out after about 30-60 seconds.

I have one of these and can't pull the cord . Cleaned underneath and seems to be rusted ... gave a bit of heat and wd40 still stiff. Any ideas?
Take the plug out and see if you can pull it without a plug in.. let me know..

I have had 2 fuel pipes crack on my 414, must be a design fault. But I have never paid more than £4 for a genuine replacement.

Hi Mick, I know you will have the answer. I’ve got the RS100 but have to prime every time to restart. Is that normal? Once running is smooth 😊
Nope .. carb clean or spark plug mate .. I would say if it does run smoothly then it's the carb..
Could it be as not warmed up as only just got it 😎
@@c14aff we'll get it running and let it run for 5 mins.. then turn it off and let it sit for 3 mins.. then re start it .. if it needs priming .. it's the carb

Lucky 13 hey Mick Id say 50 70 hence thrown out shops round here take the urine Mick would a drippy seal make it lose compression on the sump end seal not flywheel seal
