If I tell you that I had lost half day with an engine same like this one, you are gonna laugh on me, I had done and redone everything, carburetor ultrasonic cleaned 3x, coil checked, valves clearance, new spark plug, which I discovered that was faulty as well after I seen your video 😂😂😂 Cheers for info!!
You should never wire brush sparkplugs because it deposits metal on the insulator. I wrecked some plugs with the wire brush before I new better. Allen Milliard cleans plugs by burning the deposits off with a gas flame. It does seem that some plugs that look OK are in fact faulty.
Anyone watching this with a working RM55 do me a favour?? Assuming yours has variable engine speed, while idling, rev it up quickly (quick blip on the governor arm does the trick - but don't rev the balls of your engine, it's just a quick blip), mine falls flat on it's face & won't pick up, sometimes i get backfiring through air filter, it's fine when the throttle is slowly opened. Got me a bit baffled and I've met another Mountfield owner who recognized this behavior straight away..
My same mower not getting any fuel in to the engine ,all jets cleaned ,float bowl cleaned ,new fuel, fuel tank clean fuel is getting to the carb but not being pulled into engine , no blockages at all, any Ideas anyone please

Great video. The only thing you didn't do was to test the plug out and touch against the engine to see if plug was sparking !

Iv had the same problem with my 2 stroke ktm brand new plug lasted about a week was a ngk also turns out alot of fake Ngks on ebay

Mine isn’t sparking, ive tested the coil, changed the plug and tested the little cable that goes from the coil to kill switch, any ideas? 😩

I was just showing people that a kill switch not operating properly will not allow the mower to start!!!
