Tackling those trails by night, embracing the rain like an old friend, and weaving through the scenic routes with such enthusiasm - you're simply crafting epic adventures with every stride, Ben, dear friend! Can't wait to see you conquer those 100 miles with the same spirit! 😎
Thank you so much for yet another kind comment Mihai! I really appreciate all your kind and supportive words mate it means a lot. Thanks for watching buddy! 😎🤘
LOVELY Ben, your filming and editing is going from strength to strength!! Yes that's a good idea to train in full kit, I noticed in my race yesterday that the vest felt heavy so yes good idea, I need to do more training with it fully loaded!! I did a VERY muddy slippy slidy 26km yesterday, very steep 834m gain, in constant rain, so I'm thoroughly enjoying my DOMS today!! ENJOY next weekend!!
Thanks Bev that's kind of you. Your long runs sounds pretty savage mate! Huge kudos for grinding out a big effort in bad weather. Hope the legs are fully recovered now. 😎🤘
@@BenNotley That was definitely the most "savage" one I've ever done , but it's just the beginning I'm sure!!😁 Legs definitely not at all yet recovered!!😂
Ben, I'm impressed and inspired with your training, I think you're on your way to a successful Ultra South Downs Way race. Thanks for the detailed explanation of the course, looks great!
I absolutely love the trails you run mate! So inspiring and maje me want to get back on the WHW. You definitely make the most of your surrounding areas. GTR TUESDAY OF COURSE 😊! Solid running mate ! Really well done on ticking off another week 👏
Trail running is where it's at Stephen! 👌 I would love to see some more WHW content mate I really enjoyed that. Thanks for all your support as always bud helps keep me going. 😎🤘
Another top week buddy. The route looks great for the sdw100 as did that lovely sunrise by Martha ! (Plus the cinematic slow mo over the tracks!) Nice work
Cheers James! Yeah I am looking forward to experiencing it. Hopefully I can get feet on the course pre race day but we will see. Thanks for the support bud! 😎🤘
Good to see you getting out there especially after a difficult time. I just hope you have lined up at least 2 box clean pairs of your favourite Hokas (I think) for when the training really gets going and goal pace sessions become the norm.
I bet you have got some great places to train Gez! Hopefully I can get feet on the course pre race day to experience some of it. Any tips for me? Thanks for watching bud! 😎🤘
@@BenNotley If you do come down this way, Beeding Hill is a great place to train on. I believe the route goes up it, it’s a tough hill to “run up”, I try and do some hill reps on it, and do feel the benefits of it. With some of the routes that you’ve been running along the North Downs you’ll be fine, it’s very similar terrain and elevation. I did the UK ultra 50k a couple of years back, and there are some tough hills to climb, but again from your training, it shouldn’t be too different from what you’re doing already!
Nice one Ben, looks like another good week of training. I am not completely upset that I have started training again as the days are getting longer, not the biggest fan of running in the dark. You seem to have a lot of nice trails etc nearby, I have one or two but currently on the hunt for some new routes which are not too far away.
Cheers Ryan! Spring is on the horizon mate can't wait for those brighter evenings and mornings. I am very lucky to live just off of the North Downs Way so that's a massive help. Hope you've managed to find some decent training spots near to you bud. 😎🤘
@@BenNotley Quite right . I'm good thanks . I ran the Fox on Saturday starting and finishing at Normandy alone . Considering it wasn't a race and my watch was taking the piss with directions it only took six hours . Fuelled only on a jar of cockles an hour before and two flasks of LMNT electrolyte. So feeling pretty good about the running, although in the grand scheme of things ... Your cinematic skills are coming on like your calf muscles mate . An artisan film maker I reckon what ever the topic .
@@guzgrant awesome stuff Gaz! Cracking run that mate in 6 hours! 👏 Are you racing it in May? Very kind of you bud. I do really enjoy creating videos. Bit time consuming but worth it. 😎🤘
@@BenNotley I might do actually as it's a last minute entry arrangement but last night I messed my hip up playing about with my son who is training kick boxing . Could barely get up the stairs today but I see myself as a bloke who runs as opposed to a serious runner . Keeps the stress out of it . Yeah the editing is great. The angles are thoughtful and clever . Regardless of the running, which you clearly do well there's a future for you in video .
Another great week mate, top work! Route sounds really cool too with a mix of trails to keep it interesting. I've heard the signage for UK ultra events is really good so should be fine for navigation. Beautiful shots on your staurday long run, really nicely put together 👌
Cheers Ben. Keeping things relatively consistent. Yeah I heard that too. They seem to be really on the ball with everything. Thanks for watching as always mate I really appreciate it. 😎🤘

Loved the long run route and true locals will appreciate the effort that went into the multi angle descent of st Martha’s!
Cheers mate! Yeah quite a bit of up and down on that bit to get those shots. You know the struggle 🤣👍

I will make sure I have plenty of box fresh shoes with my crew so I can change them out every 10ish K 🤣
I live in Steyning, and regularly run either the South Downs Way and the Monarchs way, some tough hill climbs but worth it for the views
