🖤❤🖤 Darkie, upon finding out about Megamix, was someone who I had never heard of before - upon watching his trailer, I was taken aback by just how confident he was in his message, and how batshit (ahaha) insane his music was. And I LOVED it. I became hooked on his music, resonating with his messages and coming to main him. I’m glad he fought well, a 10 vote difference is mad impressive for someone as naturally controversial as him. I guess what I’m trying to say is my full thanks for the megamix team for letting darkie exist. Giving him a shot, even if many knew he wasn’t gonna make it that far. His presence here is fucking phenomenal, and while I wish he made it further, im glad we even got to see him. o7, ride on cowboy. 🕷️

this song goes so raw. the somber singing compared to his usual high energy is just so emotional. the results theme in there got me, it's so great. even though he's gone, his impact on Megamix and the Tournament scene as a whole is undeniable. even though many don't like him, I salute you cowboy. ride on.

I hope characters like him show up more, and I’m also glad that his fanbase is passionate about him, and that the match with MAD/EON was really close, it made the match better and, even though he lost, showed that he has people backing him up. I hope he keeps getting song because they are good, also I like his new background, the solid colors pop out way more, and it looks just like the Rap Music MV, I like it a lot more and I hope that this is his background from now on.
I really like the chill vibe this track has. It really shows how much variety this character has in his own music. As this tournament went on I am sure so many people (myself included) have grown to like Lil Darkie. He went from an artist not many people knew about to a fan favourite in this music community. Even tho he still lost all his matches, the impact he had for being apart of these tournaments will never be forgotten.
Darkie is such a fascinating case for me when it comes to tournament characters. I'm not the biggest fan of rap music personally, and didn't even know who Darkie was prior to MWM. And yet, he actively became a favorite of mine the more I saw him. His main match tracks or even filler tracks are my favorites from him, and Darkie58 is what got me into MWM for the first time via UA-cam recommendations, being one of my favorite tracks that has come from MWM as a whole. I think what made me care the most about him though was how he was presented in the lore and how he interacts with other characters. Anytime I'd see him pop up, I'd immediately be drawn to what he'd say next. His relationships with Brad and Hugo are really cool to see, and although I understand that we'll see more of him regardless of his position in the tournament, it's a shame that we won't see that chaotic energy that springs out during his bracket posts that happens when he's competing. Even still, seeing that in comparison to when he's more calm and just talking things through always makes me happy to see him. Thanks to all of those who made Darkie's involvement in this tournament so special. Such a shame to see you drop so early.
Its strange. Going into this tourney I had 2 mains from the get go. Ones already out and I'm waiting to see their lore. But darkie? He came out of nowhere. A genre of music I dont care for. A man who I saw as almost juvenile. But as I dug more and more into his story, his personality, his source, I began to resonate with his message and his lore. A man with nothing to lose losing so early seems poetic in its weird way. I fell in love too late. But he put up a hell of a fight. Ride on you crazy cowboy...ride on...🚬
This track really hits close. I used to be the buzz lightyear to woody's ramblings. Only listening to VGM and anime shit without branching out. But Darkie was like. THE kickstarter to making me listen to more hiphop stuff and well... it snowballed from there. Of all people to do it, THIS being the person to do so is kind of crazy but life is like that. I accepted a while ago his loss, but this track is kind of tearing open old wounds? It's beautiful and everything that I love from him. Fly high, cowboy.

I still find it nuts how I found out about Darkie with the reveal of Rap Music, then Mashup Week right as Megamix was dropping, and was just in time to be there for the Darkie reveal. My day one main has been RoE, but I love Darkie's inclusion in this tournament so much, man. He's what REALLY put Megamix on the radar for me. It breaks my heart he 0-2'd, and I'm still of the opinion Madeon v Darkie should've been a winners match, but c'est la vie. Ride on, cowboy. And keep giving us more bangers from beyond the sunset.
When I first listened to Darkie's tracks, I was not into it because I thought heavy trap music wasn't like who I am as a person, but after listening to it over and over again. I find myself actually venting some stress and frustration through these songs. That really made me check out Darkie's actual music.. his recent one like cold outside was really great to listen too with a very sad message about Darkie as a character. After listening to his music and looking at the lore. I felt so sad that he lost so soon as he became my 2nd main and the one I was rooting for. MADNESS is like a Top 5 mashup song for me, Go Shoot Em All, This Desert is not for Dreamers are also big head bops for me. All of his music is just always a banger. Lil' Darkie is like no other contestant for me, and I'm always giddy and excited whenever a new mashup comes out featuring him. That therapy lore felt so heartwarming for a character like Lil' Darkie. Mashup Week Megamix team, I thank you for introducing Lil' Darkie and his tracks to me. This run has been a rollercoaster, folks. It might have been shorter than some of us hoped, and it may not have been for absolutely everyone, but it was one hell of a ride either way. An unforgettable one, to be sure. And frankly? At the end of the day, even if there were times where I didn’t want to admit it, I’m glad that I was able to hop on it. It was a good ride.
