      @@VictorIV0310Dung eater is based and doesn't deserve the hate.
      #freedungeater
      To explain why dung eater is based we need to discuss video game ethics.
      Firstly, Genocide is not commited when killing fantasy creatures.
      Singapore law says.
      130D. A person commits genocide who, with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, an ethnical, a racial or a religious group(group refers to human beings in this context), commits any of the following acts:
      (a) killing members of the group;
      (b) causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
      (c) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in
      part;
      (d) imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; or
      (e) forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
      Notice that this does not include CGI fantasy creatures in the lands between because Characters such as the hornsent, misbegotten, Albinaurics and every single elden ring characters are not homo sapiens. Even the" human "characters in the game are not homo sapiens with skin colours ranging from bright blue to dark green. In fact the "human " characters don't have genitals modelled, showing they may have a different way of reproduction and hence are a distinct species from homo sapiens.
      Secondly, Since they are merely Fantasy characters, real world values don't apply to them. Why the should a fantasy creature adhere to real world standards and norms?
      No real world morals framework be it Singapore law, ten commandments or Sharia law condemn the act of killing fantasy creatures. Thus it is not valid to judge a fantasy character by real world standards. Let me be honest even hidetaka miyazaki does not condemn player killing the fantasy creatures like the albinaurics so why should you condemn this act.
      Lastly, Given that no real world rules apply to elden ring characters they have the freedom and right to do whatever they want, no one can say they are wrong.
      In conclusion. Don't feel guilty. Killing fantasy creatures in videogames is not morally wrong and no real human should be faulted for that. It's just entertainment.

      I assume the living jars we see are a byproduct that only arose after the shaman inside died rather than a completed form of the jar saints. The ones that speak give no indication they were ever once human and their insides are full of corpses, not living flesh.

The hornsent did innumerable terrible crimes to the Shamans and their own criminals, but the Crusade's response brought them to the same level as the Hornsent, rather than simply resisting and supplanting them they took it further and committed genocide when they probably could have integrated with them as a united order.

      That was all the bodies successful and compatible for fusing, too. Including hornsent.
      Nevermind the pillars that make up Enir-Ilim. We have no idea how many were sacrificed before they got it 'right.' The path to becoming a God is horrible indeed.

    • @macnamaryb7773
      @macnamaryb7773 Місяць тому

      The Gate of Divinity is the Crucible. A literal melding pot of life, in order to extract divinity and allow mortals to become gods. It is literally a mass sacrifice in order for, in theory, all those later to be able to acquire divinity, and Marika ran it dry it to grow a tree.
      Enir Ilim could also be the Seat of the Sun, with the sun always beaming down on it, manifestation of the Fell God, who would appear to be the sun itself with Crucible horns. The Fell God is not the God of the Crucible, but merely presides over it, haunting those who would attempt to become gods. Thus Marika would need to slay the Fell God to avoid it's interference, both with the Erdtree and her divine ascension.
      Serosh likely comes from Enir Ilim, and is the Lord of the Beasts. The Lord who, in Hoarah Loux's body, heralded the return of Marika from the gate. And if that is the role Serosh could serve, then the Divine Beast Warriors and other lions could likely become Lords to assist in the massive amount of gods being born.
      The Gates providing divinity to all who enter would populate the world with enough Gods for the God Hunt of the Gloam Eyed Queen and the Godskins. The Nobles are also said to have assimilated inhuman physiology, not unlike the Crucible.
      I subscribe to the theory that the GEQ was a God before Marika, ruling over Farum Azula with Placidusax. Metyr gifted Marika Maliketh, who slew the GEQ and most of the Godskins after Marika stole the Elden Ring from the GEQ at the Gates of Divinity. With the queen gone, Bayle challenged Placidusax, leaving both wounded and completing the fall of the GEQ's Age.
      The Jars are transports for the Hornsent, to create balls of holy flesh to fertilize the Divine Gateway with, the flesh of Shamans in particular being best suited to the blending of life.
      Tldr; the Gate of Divinity is a magical location literally powered by dead bodies. The Hornsent view those who would fuel the gate as saints, and the Shamans are the best fit for blending life together. So long as the gate has fuel, hypothetically any and everyone could be a God, until Marika used the bodies to grow the Erdtree, then became a god, and finally sealed Enir Ilim away, leaving the gate decrepit and dry.
      Or at least that's how I parse the lore. This has been a very ranty tangent, and I will likely not look back on it. Cheers.

      "The heart of an omen without the body to match; could there be any crueler existence?"
      Both of these imply one thing; all Omen are in fact possessed by Hornsent spirits; the smirking horned elders. There's no way of knowing whether their actions are dictated by those elders or by themselves. The end result of this insanity is, of course, the " heart of an omen"; a heart like the Dung Eater's. One that hates and curses all equally.

      Even though the removal of horns was also nearly fatal, it seems it was conducted because the alternative was largely the same. That, or them having to live with this curse.
