Channels super relatable and easy to watch, also very informative. So really, You don’t need to change a thing. just make more content more often.
This guy hit the nail on the head 👌
Yep.. agreed
exactly
That socket for the axle nut is a true soldier
I bought another, but welded it back together and she lives on as a spare 🫡
@@mikes4x4garage 🫡🫡🫡 a real one. Can’t wait for the next video!
Damnit I love this channel, Im telling you Mike this channel will be big if you keep up this content.
That’s what I’m saying. Great content. It’s just something about the people who make videos in their own driveway/garage.
Yup facts
@@cole3685 It will be, but i can also see how expensive this is. its understandable why he cant just make content all the time like some BIGGER channels with no budget.
Mike, great content. The black Tacoma drew me in. Your personality and commentary kept me here through the repair of the xj and rebuild of this Tacoma. Keep up the awesome work!
Hey thanks for sticking around!
I don't think you need to change anything on this channel. It has all of the best truck content. I like how you do everything in your garage.
Mike, you're the man. The story telling, the insights you give and the overall feel of all of your videos is spot on. You're up there with the best DIY mechanics channels on the tube, keep it up my man!
Hey that’s really nice! I appreciate the kind words!
I like your channel! it's interesting to see your thought process when you rebuild a used truck and where you choose to put the money and which components problems you adress. You cover the basics very well with the actual cost of materials and for most of us, it is quite informative. Sure those higher end channels that shows some crazy 300 000$ truck build are nice to watch but when it comes to realistic DIY mods and repairs, your channel come out on top for sure! Keep posting videos!
Hey thank you Phil! I try to keep it in check
“Lookin good cannonball run” that taco looks a lot better cleaned up! 🤙
Having done all of this makes it 1000 times more enjoyable to watch lmao. Keep up the good content mike! Cheers
This guy needs a sponsor it's an amazing channel !
Excellent job mate I had a smirk on my face when you were going to remove the lower control arm bushings you made it look super easy, my smirk was gone...respect
Thanks Dave! I think I was lucky on that one haha
maybe D-class by YT metrics but AAA-class in content. you're the fucking man Mike.
i wish i could pull my IFS apart that fast...
I recommend doing the tundra brake upgrade! Bigger caliper, bigger rotor. Super easy and super cheap bolt on install and will solve the brake rotor warping issue these trucks have.
Personally I much prefer the more “budget friendly” builds and stuff. Great video as always
“Shining the turd” made me laugh. Great video man. My ocd so wanted you to clean up the dust shields and bump stops but either way you demystified a lot of work Id like to do myself when the time comes. 👍🏽👍🏽
I see you are a fellow man of culture. *points at dented ass truck with clapped out suspension* "It's a clean truck for the most part, just needs a few touches".
I like it.
I really like those wheels on that truck. I get they aren't the greatest for that truck but they are pretty cool. I have a similar set of old school aluminum wheels like that but 5x5.5 bolt pattern.
one of the ugliest sets of wheels you can put on a truck
Dude just keep doing what you're doing. It's awesome.
Towards the end of my 1st gen's life I was replacing lower control arms every 6 months. Bushings would get shot running no sway bar. This video gives me ptsd 😅😅😅.
everytime i've worked on ifs cars- if the the control arms need to come out on an older truck, just replace everything you can. what you don't replace will fail the second you hit the trail lol. love the vids man!
Absolutely. And thank you!
the beer opening at the end 😎
Tacoma fam appreciates you and your work bruv.
Love the way you are keeping us informed about the costs involved and doing the jobs that we could copy. Keep up the good content Mike its great. 👍🏽😎
Gotta keep it transparent!
I really enjoy watching your videos. Always down for this DIY home garage stuff!
thank you!
Keep up the great work. We like how attainable what you do is
i’ve been waiting for your next upload! i’ve been looking everyday haha
This is literally my favorite channel on UA-cam. One of the only channels I actually have the notifications turned on for.
I know nothing about trucks or off-roading. I dont even have a truck. But i really enjoy watching these builds. Glad u picked up another tacoma :D
Keep up the good work! My 6yr old son and I enjoy your content
Yeah we want more content more often lol great channel keep up the great work
Working on it!
I picked up a 2012 TRD sport mt shortbed and seeing the OR with a long bed you have is exciting. Great vid
This channel should be so much bigger. Literally the only channel I get excited about anymore
Man, I love what you’re doing with the channel. Real builds. Real shop life. Keep it up dude. One day in the not too distant future you’ll be able to do those crazy projects.
Great job Mikey Mike. I had a couple of Tacos just like this. Yes tons spent on IFS that all was had me wanting more.... Switched to a solid axle 4Runner and loving it. Your vids rock man!! You rock. Keep the vids coming.
That was a great watch! Definitely the only change needed is more content like this. I’d even dare say go into a very tiny bit more detail of what you’re doing and upload the same project over two videos instead of one.
That’s what I always think of if it’s worth making two videos or just throw it into a shorter one
Honestly keep doing what you're doing, love the content, and love your transperancy. On another note, I'm so impressed with how well you cleaned this up, and used what was good, and replaced what was bad, excellent work!
I think you should keep the truck if possible, Maybe make it a "budget" off roading rig series, Lot of fixing old parts, cheap parts and homemade solutions!
Bro i love watching you polish turds. Super satisfying awesome content. No recommendations for the truck really just seeing it come back to life is cool in its self.
Whenever my eye twitches for a few days at a time, I eat a banana. Was told it could be from bad sleep too.
You did a neat job under that front end. Also cheers on the miller m8
It’s always a good day when you upload a new video
This channel is way too underrated
Love it man! Nice work, that thing is cleaning up nice. I've got an FJ cruiser to do the same to. It gets pricey quick with the toyota front end maintenance.
You’re so lucky you got those alignment cams out without cutting them. They love to seize up.
Yeah I was surprised honestly!
Mike, this channel is legit.
Man, love watching you work on these Toyotas that you have had. Keep it up love your skills.
You’re doing it how I’d like to, realistic. Working another job I assume and then filming what you do…a job in itself!! Harbor freight should really sponsor you though!!!
This is one of the few channels I've got the notifications turned on for lol good shit as always Mike!
Those coilovers are looking fresh!
Freshies 🙌🏻
I feel like I’m the same way. Anytime I go in to swap a couple parts in the front end, I pretty much just rebuild the entire thing. Great video Mike, love the content!
Sticking along friend.
I did all the same work you are doing on a 98 tacoma. I had to replace those upper balls joints too. Got mine off if amazon for 60 bucks, same part number as camburg
Bro I love your channel, super relatable and fun to watch
Hell yeah dude. Budget build. Already got the Jeep for crawling. You’re just trying to make the truck ride well on and off-road again and that would be smart financially. As always love the content. Keep it coming Mike 👍🏻
New sub. Really appreciate watching builds like this. Attention to detail is great.
Thank you Jonathan!
I love these vids! Ballin’ on a budget, polishing turds of trucks like a regular Joe would be doing. Nice to see! Keep up the good work!
As always excellent video Mike, By far one of the best turd polishers on the tube. D channel nah, at least a strong B.
Keep em coming for us. Very good content 🍻🇺🇸
Great content. Same level of quality as VGG, we want more!
Daaaaaamn dude. Still loving the videos. I just went through front/rear suspension on an abused 2018 tacoma. Shit was impossible to get off. Looking forward to the next one!
These Toyota truck series should be called from TuRD to TRD.
Those old wheels cleaned up would be a sick show piece. Excited to see the rest of it cleaned up! Keep the awesome content rollin!
Thanks Cole!
Your channel is great and I appreciate you sharing your projects and adv's! I do wish I had this kind of mechanical skills, very nice work on a budget
Thank you! I just learned through trail and error
What about a pre runner build? Enjoy all the videos thanks Mike!
I'd say that's a newer frame. Another great video! ✌🏼
This channel is perfect. Love all the content! Have you ever done a tool overview or something like that?
Awesome video, good angles, good descriptions etc. 1st gen taco suspension is nearly identical to 1st Gen. Tundra/sequoia suspension.
Oh yeah!
Happy to find your channel! This is amazing. Wish you were my neighbor.
Me too!!!
It’s really difficult to make money on trucks when you’re doing it right, that’s why flippers exist. Congrats on reviving this truck, but was pretty rough to start. However being on the East Coast people are asking that for trucks of rotten frames.
You're A class in my book brotha. Keep it up!!!!
Thank you!
looks really good . good to see you again , its been a while since your last video. your videos are not d videos, they are very real and that's what I like to watch.
Hey thanks!
Keep it up man! I like what you're doing so far
Thank you!
Love the truck man I have a 2001 Toyota, tacoma access cab m/t it had over 254,000 before I sold it The frame rusted in half by the bed but I do miss it
Hell yeah brother making a video as we speak on the front suspension. The subscribers struggle is real! Perusing that 1k mark! Keep up the good work! Cheers from NBVC!
Love the content Mike!!! Super informative and fun to watch! Reminds me of how goonzquad was when they first started doing their rebuilds. Keep it up and you’ll be at a mil subs in no time!!
My favorite channel by far just keepin it real 🤙 appreciate the post brother
Great rebuilding videos...
btw my eye switches on me, when I get low on sleep, definitely sucks!
Awesome job Mike love your channel as I can also relate with all the diy stuff. Try pdr and maybe some glue pulling for your body work if you’re interested in that. Also touch up direct for color match. Cheap and easy, glue pulling and pdr will be helpful for future dents and dings as well 👍🏽 just some suggestions
You rock! How about a Hollister hills meet up for Bay Area subscribers!!!!
Always enjoy your videos! Keep uploading!
Thank you!
Hey mike! I work at a shop in loomis called rock and road performance. We can get those coilovers rebuilt for you. It would be way cheaper than replacing them
I think they’ll work for now, but I’ll remember you guys for next time!
Great job Mike. I love your videos 😊😊
Good work holy cow that came out clean.
Thank you! Big upgrade!
Great videos man😂so excited for this build😎
Dude I love your channel. Let me give you a tip, for example, with this ifs rebuild video im sure it took you a long time to make it because you needed to finish the rebuild. But you can get more videos of it, for example, to post weekly videos of you working on it an the process of it so you get more views and we get more content 🤙🏼. English its not my main language sorry
Awesome job cleaning that up man, excited to see the end results. Would you consider just keeping it?
Thank you! Yeah, i might end up having to keep it to make it worth the money I've been spending on it!!!
I actually really dig the vectors, you should keep those..
Content is well put together, you explain things without repeating your self for bloat in the video, its all great. Make sure to open a proper business and record everything you are doing through a company face. Will help you in the long run.
Do a video of your shop or best tools for fixing an overland rock crawler
Are you trying to motivate me to wrench on my first gen taco? Because i’m feeling the motivation, haha! Looking forward to the next video, keep up the good work!
You should do the 1st gen Tundra brake upgrade and use the Toyota Calipers Stamped 13WL and get 15” longbrake lines custom made from Parker Hose to save money. And id recommend putting a Eaton E-Locker in the front diff because ARB seals suck and tend to leak inside the diff or if u can’t afford that then a Detroit TrueTrac up front. And use All Pro Offroad’s Expedition rear leaf springs. And for tires get Nitto Ridge Grapplers or Toyo AT3’s bit stick with a P Metric tire. Don’t run the awful E Rated tires on a Toyota. And leave the front sway bar disconnected for a better ride offroad. And tou should also put in a East Coast Gear Suppler front diff driver side needle bearing/bushing replacement kit if you don’t upgrade the carrier inside the diff. And those generation Toyota’s it’s very critical you make sure the LBJ’s are in good condition otherwise your whole suspension can fall out underneath the vehicle and be catastrophic. And maybe regear to 4:56’s or 4:88’s.
Favorite channel on UA-cam!
Hey thank you!
love every vid you make! got me inspired im going to go work on my jeep for the rest of the day now
This channel is good vibes, keep it up
Your eye is probably twitching from too much caffeine. All your videos are awesome, looking forward to more of this project. Are you going to build your own bumpers again?
not due to too much caffeine. It would be a poor diet or lack of water mixed with caffeine. It’s actually extremely difficult to have “too much caffeine”, about 800mgs a day
I enjoy the channel Mike. Keep working hard and creating content and the subscribers will continue growing.
Good shit bro. I enjoy your videos. Keep at it.
Glad to see another uplaod!
Bro you have talent! 🍻
Will support the channel
Tight is tight whether it’s cross threaded or torqued hahahaha looking awesome !
I was offered 27K for my 95 Tacoma recently and turned it down. Why? Because I can not replace it for anything better in my opinion. I have been off roading for 50 years so I have learned a thing or two. One is to not try to make a Rock Krawler out of a Tacoma unless you have more money than you know what to do with. Good content Bro!
Thank you.
Bro post more often I will watch it
