I think the lead guitar is covered with a jacket on purpose perhaps of a copyright infringement on design. He quickly covers the entire guitar at the end. It may have been an unsanctioned copy of a Gibson Les Paul. Just a hunch but always loved this band and never really saw them perform even on TV. This was my favorite song off the record at the time.

i think Steve did an exellent brilliant job of this album. its produced really well. so much better than the other producers had. i'm sure Lee would disagree. but its a classic album and sounds great to me for what it is. Lee's live sound and stripped back versions are great. but he should have just gone along with the album and done what he anted live. crazy crazy crazy... they coulda had it all ! but nah....

Bowie's my favourite artist ever but if we're talking about look, _no-one_ competes with Mavers' mug. Instinctively charismatic, absolutely no pretence, sexy as hell, his eyes and lips are like that of some angel on his way to hell. The Christopher Robin mop of hair is also outrageously beautiful.
The secret, the trick in Lee Mavers performances and songs maybe is the reverb in his voice. or, at least, one of the secrets. (By the way, very funny the finish part of this video!!)

As usual, Lee put everything he had into a performance, even though it was just a studio in Bebra, Germany. They could have been performing at the Albert Hall with the amount of passion the lads give. They ended, not even a clap from the camera men. Nothing, silence. Then the bimbo gets up and asks them what they thought of the town they were in. Giving something the contempt that it deserves, is the expression one might use.
