Make this a series haha, it really helps practice and warm up. anyone else say "YEP NOW MORE _____" and then get satisfied when she added more? haha
The paint you used looks very beautiful, very creamy, like cake, and I really want to taste it
Ms.aza australia yaaah!😃
yeah i was like that, but i understood her tactic and when the egg came up, I was suggesting what to add more in my mind
Omg this is the coolest video I've watched in a long time. Please do more colours 😍😍👌🏾
This is one of the clearest and easiest way to learn color mixing in under 11 minutes !
I absolutely enjoy this video hanging out with you mixing your colors. It's calming, informative, soothing… can't wait for more
THIS IS GONNA HELP SO MUCHHH..THANKSS
also youre videos are just so aesthetic and amazing and you’re so talented!! 💕😩

You are a natural teacher. I love how much pleasure you take out of sharing. It's a real privilege and a real art. Thank you. Please more complex mixings.
i was just oil painting today and was thinking about your videos, so glad you posted ❤️
I'm trying to sleep so I'm watching with no sound, but with the cloth I kept saying "it's too blue add some yellow." I know of course that you were going to, it's just kinda like when you're watching tv and telling a character to do something. I'm assuming you were also explaining your process. It was very satisfying when you added the yellow. Lovely video! I shall watch again with sound another time.
I love your paintings and videos!! Up close: Seeing the paint strokes, little further it's a photo like painting, Perfect!! These videos help me to understand the painting process as a non painter :) It's magical to me, because I can't do it haha. And your voice is beautiful and calming to listen to! Thanks for everything!
Thank you so much, I appreciate you saying that ❤️
The paint you used looks very beautiful, very creamy, like cake, and I really want to taste it
You’re so good!! And for saving on towels I just recycle all my old towels and rash and use them for when I paint. I wash it when it’s DRY every once in a while but it looks cool once it has a lot of stains and it means I don’t have to buy paper towel which is nice for the environment : )
Oh, I should do this

Another youtuber that has a great "fool-proof" color matching process is someone named "Draw Mix Paint." His suggestion is very similar to Daria Callie's process, however he stresses the importance of "matching value" first, then match color. He gives some good tips based on a color wheel on what primary color to mix next to shift the color from one to another, I think using this channel as well as his will benefit any new color mixing artist.
@vincentmarotta9800 - Absolutely! I bought Mark’s course (which he now gives for free on UA-cam) almost 20 years ago. He teaches the essentials, with a no frills attitude. Whatever he teaches is quality. It was him who I learnt the limited palette from. This is what Daria uses. Yes, always value first, then colour. I love watching colour matching because of Mark, so it was pure pleasure to watch Daria do it here. I have a lot to learn with painting yet, but I do have a handle on the colour matching. Loved this video.
Best exercice ever. Thank you
Very interesting and useful exercise. Master Antonio Lopez uses something like that when he paints from natural. You can see it in some videos. About papertowel: I strongly recommend my students to use old clothes (specially the ones that are pure cotton) to clean brushes. I told them to ask family, etc to ask about old bed sheets. For cleaning oil painting brushes, i do also strongly recommend to use sunflower oil. Thank you for your work!
@albertobiesok7535 - Also charity shops, for cotton sheets, shirts, and they sometimes have bags of rags.
Please make this a series! your colour knowledge is such a joy to see.
Anyone else think her voice is just as calming as the mixing?
This was really enjoyable to watch! I'd love to see you make a part two :)

I like this, you did a good job with the presentation and everything. Very satisfying to see the colors match.
this is like a feast
That helps me a lot , in my paintings too, skin tones is one of those things I have a few difficultys, thank you !
Great colour matching ! Very satisfying to watch
This is EXTREMELY helpful.
Scott Shop Towels is the answer! Or any “shop towel” that is usually found in the automotive section in stores that are used for quickly absorbing grease. These have been an absolute life saver for me as these can be reused once dry too. I love your work, thank you for putting your work out there for people to learn from it. Hope you find this helpful :)
É incrível como suas pinturas transmitem sentimentos e aprendizado ao mesmo tempo! Obrigada por nos ajudar em algo tão incompreensível como a arte! 🇧🇷♥️
Daria you are fantastic !!!
I like that.
Thanks for showing/sharing !
I discovered the mixing with limited palette with one of your videos on skin tones. Even tried it as an exercise.
Until then I didn't know one could create so many colors with just a few tubes.

wow this video was so helpful! Thank you! Would love more videos like that, I had some trouble with mixing color but I feel like I know exactly what to go for now!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Jowana 🙂
Good video, always glad to see them. I use a combination of both old cloth and paper towels. I have a roll of paper towels mounted on my easel and leave the sheets on the roll. I just wipe the brush on the top sheet and can get several uses out of each sheet. They dry up over night for me. I cut the old cloth up into manageable sizes and just alternate so they can dry out. My paint thinner I pour into a jar and let the sediment settle to the bottom overnight. Then I just pour the thinner into another jar for use that day and pour it to loose the paint sediment. Can get a lot of usage out of it that way.
I see, sounds great, I'll try something similar, thank you!
I love your videos, thank you.
You are soooo talented, don't stop !!
Thank you so much! That means a lot :)

This was fantastic! I hope you could make more videos like this 👍👍
I've never tried this exercise, I think it will really help, thank you!
This is so good to watch, I'm a super novice and I thought I was super bad at colour mixing. I came here to look for examples, but turns out I have the theoretical knowledge already and I'm just garbage at mixing 🤡 still, it's so relaxing to watch and it's amazing to look at how close you get the colours
Awesome 😍
Great exercise. I will try it. It's amazing your work.

Amazing
I give you " like" number 100 ;) I love your movies and I look forward to more, this one showed me that mixing colors is not that difficult.
This was very interesting and insightful. I liked seeing the process that you go through to mix the colors. I was primarily watching sketching/drawing videos. And then a while back one of your videos was in my recommendations so I clicked on it. I was both impressed and mesmerized. So I subscribed. I couldn't believe how you managed to paint different skin tones from just those paint colors. And I loved that you paint women of color as well. You are so incredibly talented. Please do more videos like this. I like seeing how you are able to create different shades. You do such an awesome job. I do sometimes wonder how long you've been painting? And if it was difficult for you to get to the level that you are at? It's possible that you may have already mentioned these things in another video and I haven't watched it yet though. But again you are incredibly talented and such a gifted painter.
Helpful, thank you so muchh!!!
Please do more of this
Lovit ❤️
❤️
Truly it's really works want 2 nd part plz
the "you don't wanna overdo it because it's harder to go back.." hits differently 😭😂
