So his father’s old dragon just killed his mother’s old dragon? I wish that was more touched upon.
It is important, yes, but I think they also need to touch on the telepathic connection between rider and dragon to explain that. The dragons are meant to feel what their riders feel, which would probably overpower any “fond” memory Vhagar may have for Meleys. Also, Meleys was just a “baby” in comparison to Vhagar, who’s currently the oldest dragon alive.
@@Just.AllieEggartthats not true, meleys is smaller then vhagar but not “like a baby”. Like rheanrya said Meleys fought 2 dragons at rook’s rest not just vhagar. Meleys could challenge vhagar thats why daemon was so confident him and rheanys could go to king’s landing and kill her
@Just.AllieEggart Meleys could potentially beat Vhagar 1 on 1. She's meant to be closer in size than the show portrayed, she isn't a baby in comparison, and she is much faster than Vhagar. Problem is she was in a 2 on 1 situation. Also somehow absolutely massive Vhagar was able to sneak attack a faster and more battle experienced rider in the show, which is a bit of a reach but w/e. If Meleys and Caraxes or Syrax both turned up they'd have absolutely wrecked Vhagar and Sunfyre.

1. being called out for the atrocities committed by the blackwoods and what happened in KL bc of him by the riverlords.
2. Being reminded he’s “kings consort” not the king bc Rheanyra is the queen and ruler of the seven kingdoms.
3. Aly’s reminding him about his little marriage dispute with Rhaenyra and it’s the reason why he refuses to send letters or respond back.

What is the plan for Daemon this season? To break him down? So he will fully commit to rhaenyra' rule after failing on his own? His scenes have been 50% horror 50% comedy so far.

There isn't much for him to do because there wasn't much he did in the source material.

In the books, Daemon occupied Harrenhal until Aemond could be lured out to attack him. That gave the Blacks the perfect opportunity to occupy King's Landing since there were no dragons or commanders in the city.

I think the part of the dreams in harrenhal are about how the curse or alys rivers tries to place its influence on daemon but ultimately fails kinda like the books when daemon is in harrenhal, no one notices alys presence it’s done poorly in the shows I guess

that scene was just another notch of sick imagination, idk what was going through the writers minds that made them think “this is a good idea”
My guess was that the visions are a way to show another side to him from the raging rogue prince we’ve come to know. He never knew his mom, lots of kids long for a parent they didn’t get to know. We saw him act out several times in what appeared to be bids to get his brother’s attention, so I think it’s supposed to hint that Daemon is also wanting for love, affection, and stability in another parallel to Aemon. It’s a bit on the nose for me if that’s what they’re going for, but I don’t think it’s the worst characterization.

My only complaint is that she didn’t have a green or blue eye she literally has both brown and that change makes absolutely no sense because it was one of the things that made her so unique compared to all her siblings

You can ssy that Viserys I and Daemon are the only two to ever ride two dragons, even though it's believed that Dragonlords can only bond with one dragon their whole life, and not die from it. Joffrey tried and died. No other dragonrider ever rode a second dragon (bot including each other😂) and lived.
As soon as this spin-off was announced, I made peace with the fact that this is normal for Targaryens and braced myself for stuff like this. I've read the chapters related to the Dance and I've only made it to Maegor's third wedding with the Stump present for the rest of the book, but I haven't seen anything that says they forbid parent/child coupling yet. It's not listed with the other pairings, but it's not mentioned as forbidden. The Targaryen traditions and comparisons to gods seems to follow a Greco-Roman kind of structure. I'm sure Oedipal and Electra complexes are dotted throughout Targaryen history.
Daemon's dream/vision is another connection to Aemond as well since he also has some Oedipal stuff going on with Sylvie as a substitute. He's even half a step ahead with the gouged out eye. (Though he didn't do it himself.) If Aemond's mom was at least part Targaryen, say if Viserys married Laena, he'd probably be way more obvious about it. He probably hates the fact that Rhaenyra has more Targaryen blood than him. There's probably a part of him that's thought about what children with her would be like since he's into the whole blood purity thing.
Before anyone their gets their undies in a bunch, you can hate someone and want to sleep with them at the same time. I'm not saying he loves her, just that his 🍆 betrays him now and again. Though the idea of him proposing messed up peace terms if she casts Daemon aside for him and submits is deliciously devious and fits the Great Game: Targaryen edition. Show Aemond would probably be down with killing Aegon II and Daemon and claiming their wives in victory after crowning himself King.

His guilty conscience is kicking his ass and I think he sees at the end that rhanerya is the true ruler or some good payoff coming

They need to stop hiring these mid feminist directors clare kilner is the same girl that directed episode 2 and 5 which has multiple bad cuts mid scenes and very unnecessary sex scenes also the writer sara hess she is responsible for adding multiple unnecessary scenes that never happened in the books like rhaenyra meeting alicent and rhaenys emerging from the dragon pit on meleys just so she can have a moment with alicent that protects aegon which btw alicent doesn't care for aegon, glorifying the female characters and humiliating characters like aemon and daemon just let george and ryan write the stories while maintaining 3/4 directors that did well from the early seasons of game of thrones
