Moi 15 ans ..oui je m'en souviens parfaitement de cet USOPEN 82, avec , notamment,un Connors étincelant,face à Lendl,un étonnant Vilas,et un McEnroe,certes battu en demi ,mais étant dans une forme qui allait lui permettre de briller durant l'automne 82
1982-Connors and Evert win the open . They both won their first Wimbledon in same year 1974 . Connors would win his last slam a year later in 1983 winning again over Ivan and evert while winning her last Open in 82 won a slam in 83, 84, 85 and finally in 86 . Both Connors and Evert were 32 when they won their last slam title . Before Federer most I players could not win slam titles past 32 including Navratilova .
Amazing how long many players stuck to "standard" sized frames, considering Shriver got to the finals in '78 with a Prince Classic. Connors and Lendl were actually playing with head sizes smaller than standard.
