I was there for the bicentennial! The changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier is still very moving on video. I’m also glad to see a woman guard. They weren’t allowed in 1976. On July 4th 1976 my high school band watched the fireworks behind the Washington monument. It’s still one of the best displays I ever saw! 🎇🎆🎇🎆
That was good to see for sure. Women have really come a long way in the military. I bet it is crazy busy during that time but I can imagine that it would have been pretty cool.
The wooden rifle with bayonet attachment is interesting. I remember some of the movements of "present agrms/order arms", but we never did the exaggerated heel clicking!
Thanks for watching Joe. I'm sure things were different then. Security for one. But they are renovating a lot of things so hopefully that will be nice when it is done. So much of the government facilities have been neglected over the years. I'm sure you know what I mean. Ejoy.
Glad to see you made it to the place where I spent the first 25 years of life. I think you really did some of the best things to do in DC verses the most visited. I am proud you stayed at Greenbelt Park. One of the hidden gems of undiscovered campgrounds in the USA. Visiting Arlington in the rain is really the best way to experience it. Also, your video tour was one the better travel videos I have seen. Hope you were impressed by the downtown metro stations. Looks like the trip is going well.
Thanks for watching Michael. I love the metro in DC. I'm working on a video that explains the system which will be my next video for those that have never traveled to DC before. But really it is pretty easy. We are currently in NYC and that is very big and harder to navigate. I'm not even going to try and do a video on that one.
@@TignerAdventures YW. Please let me know when you are closer to Colorado so I can request time in hopes we could meet up some where. Looking forward to seeing your additional videos on the Mid Atlantic States.
Truly humble and leaves me speechless
Dennis
It is a pretty neat place to visit for sure. Thanks for watching.

That was really exaggerating for sure. Can you imgine doing that night and day no matter what the weather was? Thanks for watching.
I was there in 1974.

Haven't wondered far. :). Thanks for watching.
Hey guys most of the places you covered I did not even go to see. You just can't do DC in a day. Good video.
We know the feeling Don. Thanks for watching.
