I ordered one, because I’m setting up an analog direct pedal board. There’s nothing wrong with modelers, but I grew up playing amps. For some reason I can’t explain, I can’t jam with modelers. Of course, I never want to lug a half stack again either. So hopefully this works out for me.
Sounds brutal man.
Man that sounds great! Thanks for the awesome, detailed review! Have you had a chance to try the RD Compact into an IR? I was thinking of trying one in an ampless rig going into something like a Two Notes Cab M+ for power amp simulation and IR.
That doom metal full mix demo was good.
Any recommendations for a boost pedal around 100 bucks thats an all around good boost to tighten up the low end that would work well in various different styles of metal?
Bad Monkey or a cheap tubescreamer clone. Most metal guys use tube screamers for exactly that effect. It doesn't really matter much which one you use.
That thing sounds killer. Hot rodded Marshall goodness.
