@@user-rr3yw9dn1l Yup. As a pastor, parents drag their kids over to me and say, "Tell him/her they need to come more often." And I groan inside, but smile as genuinely and widely as I can, and just say to the grown kid, "You're welcome here whenever you're able to come."

For easter true...
It's amazing to see that many people and compare. So, usually the church looks 1/5 as full as this, 2/5 others are partly okay ish since they come sometimes or at different hours, the other 2/5 never come, let's just not judge, not judge , not judge.....> Internal thoughts
For the Friday, in people's defense many of us are attempting to get to all 7 monuments and therefore go from church to church til making it to the seven.
For the people who don't go around walking in the processions in the Thursday evening, in defense, we have to wake up early for Friday's seven monuments... It's fun driving and going "Is this a church"...
At Christmas the priest at one of the local churches said, “If you haven’t thought about a birthday gift or Christmas present for Jesus try staying until the end of mass.” That had us laughing for a while.
"Dad who loves the food spread", is making everyone's day, he's my favourite Easter guest.

Oh man, my son is 30... he and his wife get huge Easter baskets left on their porch still, including ones for whoever is staying there at the time.... :)
I'm a grown adult and I will be showing up at my parent's this weekend to get my basket and fight my younger ( nearly grown) siblings for eggs. I won't be heading outside to look for them though.....that's a little too far.
I'm 58 and I know my mom who passed away last year would still be making us Easter baskets !

I LOVE the Chreasters! Jake is really mastering the way moms hold their sweaters over their chest lol! My great grandma and grandpa went out the night before Easter and had way too much to drink. They were so drunk that instead of hiding the eggs for the hunt they stood on the deck and just threw them all over the edge into the backyard.

As a 29 year old without kids, I would be totally down for getting to do the classic kids Easter stuff again if mom wanted to.
I'm 30-something with no kids and now host the Easter Egg Hunt for all of my friends and their kids - kids hunt is at 11am, adult hunt is at 1pm... kids eggs are self explanatory, adult hunt eggs are filled with jello shots, the tiny airplane sized bottles of liquor, scratch off lotto tickets, and raffle tickets. Raffle tickets are pulled at the end for donated prizes like full size liquor bottles or cases of beer, clothing, gift cards, etc. -- you might want to try getting something like this put together in your "circle", it is something I look forward to every year!!

I grew up in an immigrant Catholic household so I had to spend all 4 days In church leading up to Easter. We never had a big party like in the skit and we didn't hide eggs. This year I will be working a 12 hour shift on Easter Sunday. 🐣

My parents were not fans of Easter baskets, candy, new clothes, and the like. However, I do remember getting jelly beans one year, and now each year, I have to have some at
Easter. I've done the Resurrection Eggs with my girls for years (but no hunts or stuff). We make "tombs." Bread dough, wrapped around a marshmallow, dipped in butter and cinnamon sugar. When you cut it open, it's empty, just like Jesus' tomb.
I’m 29 my mom gives me and my husband small Easter baskets. However I had the first grandbaby for my parents this year (a boy born April 1st). Now she said I don’t get a basket anymore because the Easter bunny is back in action for her grandson. 😂

As a Christian who has gone to church my whole life, churches both large (5000+ people) and small (under 50), I've never heard anyone call people who only come on Christmas and Easter anything unflattering, or really anything at all. Usually we're all just happy to have them there. It's another opportunity for them to hear the Word. If anyone's judgey about it, they're probably not where they should be with the Lord themselves, despite being church-goers.

The people who go to church for Christmas and Easter are called CEO’s - Christmas and Easter Only. That’s literally what I have heard people call them. I have never heard of Chreasters🤷🏻♀️
