Prison City's graphics look like a 1 to 1 translation of an NES game circa 1988. Usagi as a playable character in Shredder's Revenge... that is a no brainer must-buy!
Quick message for those of you who'll pick pocket bravery and are new to fighting games : It's a marathon not a race take your time to learn and ask for advices. Play someone your level too ! You'll be doing fine
Always good advice for fighting games! It can be hard to get invested in getting better at a fighter, especially as people get less and less time to play
The thing about Pocket Bravery is that nowadays we dont buy fighting games to play against AI, if a lot of pepople play it and online servers being ok, this is by far the GOTY, the quality of gameplay is above anything on the indie industries.
August 2023 is shaping up to be one of the best for indie games! along with sleepers like "Echos of Karma", "June - The Dreamwalker",Heartless & Dreadful: Return by 72 hours","Deckweaver: Descent into Chaos", and "Liberty Belle". there are the 1.0 releases of the card based RPG's "Dream Sketcher" and "Draft the Darkness". the narrative adventure games "Retro mystery club vol 1: the Ise-shima case" & "Mediterranea Inferno". Lastly there's "Devoid Prototype" a co-op, sandbox spaceship game.
I have no idea what The Matchless Kungfu is after watcing this trailer, but it looks interesting...maybe? Tenebris Pictura also got my attention as long as it's not too spoopy. Music in Void Stranger seems good, so maybe I give that a look, too. I'd buy Trine 5, but as much as I liked the series, I DNF'ed 2, 3, and 4. Was looking forward to Sea of Stars, but I'm not sure how much I liked the demo and I've heard murmurs of dubious philosophical content, so I'm on a wait-and-see now.
Under the Waves.... ahh the latest in the "My kid died and I couldn't deal with the grief, so now I hallucinate about them and it drives the narrative forward" games. Anytime one of these games pops up and shows a flashback of a super cliche looking "kids room", it kind of spoils part of the story lol.
Symphony of War - That looks really strategic and tactical and if it's a cold Winter, just the game to settle in for the long-haul! Prison City - retro platform action Escape From NY City style nostalgia. Some of those mechanics are classic! Void Stranger - if those running around a room bird's eye puzzle games have cool puzzles and immersive art they're really satisfying games to chill out with as the minutes slip away slowly and peacefully while your grey matter grows a bit warmer! Tiny Witch - looks solid if the time vs complexity of putting together the various concoctions is devilishly tight. Looks like stressful fun.
the matchless kungfu? a sandbox xinxia "immortality cultivation" sim? these have been on the rise in popularity recently due to the number of fans for manhua and manhwa increasing. [basically you are a martial arts magician] tenebris pictura "exploration adventure game" - steam tags: bullets storm, turdvania, lovecraftian, ....- skip! it's by now an "ESSENTIAL RULE" if your game is pixel art 2D scroller, (extra points for rogue likes / lites , metroidvanias, difficulty, and whatnot) then you MUST make for it a very detailed ANIMATED and catchy trailer that advertise for us what the world looks like from the view of the characters, something YOU WILL NEVER get to see or live. and before you ask .. these types .. i avoid. at all costs. i've got nothing against pixel art, i jjust hate the genres i mentioned
POCKET BRAVERY and SEA OF STARS coming out together !! I just saw the trailer for release for Sea of Stars and it looks incredible. I've followed Pocket Bravery for a while and it's just got better and better with a great training mode for people to train/learn the move combos as well as accessibility and control options if needed. Some of the combos are stupendous and they just release the last playable character Jorge yesterday also. The online matches and tournies already have produced excellent footage of fights and there's a long way to go honing the meta.
Pocket bravery will be the game of the year 😍

Sound advice for literally every fighting game :)
@@thebarbaryghostsf I needed to say it anyway since ppl are discouraged easily by fighting games

15:56 The studio is Brazilian, that's why you are in Portuguese, I only realized after watching it 4 times.
Sea of stars and Pocket Bravery, two strong candidates to goty in the same week! \O/

Pocket bravery is amazing !!!!!!
Aaaaand new games added to my infinite wishlist. Thank you Clemmy!
To later be horded into the endless steam library of unplayed games 😂
Sounds about right xD

woah sandtrix is genius, I noticed they pushed back Jusant to 2024 now. Was hoping to play it soon but looks like there is lots to play still coming.

Daymare looks like this other game , in space where you can cut everything.
Been waiting soooo long for Pocket Fighter. And Sea of Stars looks to be a classic for real.

Pocket Bravery 😍
Great job, Clem, there look to be some awesome games, here :)
Have you tried that new shotgun king chess game?? Looks pretty neat lol
Thanks for the video
Symphony of War is more of an Ogre Battle than a Langrisser.
Ohhh Symphony of War is getting a DLC? Very nice, my gf will be happy to hear that
Did you hear about Constance? It’s from the guys who made truberbrook and looks great
very nice
Of course it will be Sea of Stars at first place.
I wonder what rating will be for it and Chained Echoes after all.
Maybe a collaboration some day.

no.1 is the best
OU 🔥🔥👍
I love symphony of war and they also announced they're hard at work on #2!
Oh excellent! I'll never actually get around to Fire Emblem at this rate 😅

Great video as always, us gamers are getting so many great games and so many different genres!

Prison City, Daymare and Tenebris Pictura all look like a lot of fun. Hopefully Tenebris isn't just a great trailer, thanks for the list
