    I´ve used Cubase for 12 years and not until tonight I went, "Hey, how about I learn the basics of the pitch correct?" This was really helpful and amazingly easy to follow/learn. Kudos and thank you!

    Once again, very useful tips! Every week I'm looking forward to these only to fire Cubase up afterwards, and try the tips myself. This way my overall skills in Cubase progress every week and I love it! Have a great weekend and till next week :)

    This is what Cubase has been missing for years. Tuts. It's so powerful it gives the idea that it's complicated.

      Sure, go to the Key Commands> find the Sample editor folder and the VariAudio commands are in there. You can also search variaudio in the top box.

      Pitch correction software if you at least have elements it comes with it. Also you can obtain some cool effects like that with a harmonizer.

    I feel like Cubase is like a giant onion. Just about the time you think you have it all down, you learn a whole new dimension or layer to it. I honestly never knew that there was any pitch correction aspects to Cubase, even going back to SX5, maybe farther back. I thought the only REAL option was Melodyne (which at leas I find unfriendly). I will try this to nudge things here and there rather than stressing the vocalist (me) out with countless retake trying to hit notes just beyond my natural untrained range. Obviously the perfect thing to do would be to become a more skilled vocalist, but I'm busy actually working a job (telecom). I always try to make Greg Ondo's live streams or listen to them afterwards. Lots of great knowledge comes out of those calls/archives. Greg is really a Kung Fu blackbelt with Cubase, met him once years ago in Bellevue WA at Bellevue American Music. Could not have been more accommodating to me.

    • @vadimmartynyuk
      @vadimmartynyuk 7 років тому

      M2 Productions, 10 times worse maybe, variaudio sounds ok only half a semitone up and down. In melodyne you can edit up to and octave without obvious artifacts

    • @djschultz61
      @djschultz61 6 років тому

      I have both and i have to say melodyne is better with vocals. The artifacts it uses are so much more natural sounding. It's why its so dang expensive.

      Hi Gerard. Unfortunately the average attention span these days is SHORT so these have to be quick. Have you tried using the subtitles? I just checked and they work OK for this video? You can also slow down the speed of a YT video (yeah, it gets a bit annoying but it gets the job done). Thanks for the feedback.

    This is half baked, full of audio artifacts dinosaur technology. Melodyne and ARA2 (audio random access) integration is what good pitch correction is.
