Can we use only curd?if so does it need soaking?
Sure you can. No need of soaking. Just make sure to make thick consistency batter as shown in video.
Pls let me know if I skip curd as my child is allergic to dairy?
Yes you can. You can replace with non dairy yogurt if available
Can we make sweet paniyaram?
Yes, we can make sweet too with jaggery and coconut. I will share the recipe

Can we make without adding curd
Yes
Mine remains not cooked inside even if kept for 3 minutes before flipping, only i had not put baking powder in it
If you don’t have baking powder, you can try making uttapam as explained in later part of video
