You guys did a great job on what I consider a pretty rough one. We had a difficult time with this one, I generally found the puzzles less...elegant? creative? ... than usual. Not sure the right words, but in this one, it was the first time where we didn't have any "OMG that is so cool! So clever! So unexpected" type of moments.
Thank you for watching! I feel like there was quite a big range in complexity for the puzzles in this one box - there were definitely a couple towards the end where I thought the solutions felt really creative and satisfying, but also some earlier puzzles were less intuitive. There was a lot to take in with this EXIT box... but I'm still impressed that they're coming up with new puzzles all the time!
I enjoy these videos so much. Have you seen the Box One from Neil Patrick Harris? Its quite fun.
Yes, I have a copy of it but I only looked at some of the cards so I haven't solved it fully (or perhaps much at all, depending on its length). The name does suggest he might make a sequel, but evidently not yet. :) Maybe I'll look at it on camera one day. Thanks so much for watching!
I loved at there's a big story here in this one, with what the treasure is and the ending. The text ate a lot of time tho, haha
I solved four of the puzzles by accident tho.
I thought the turtle was a weird eiffel tower and left to right was the flag of France.
I didn't see the German at the stickers but used Weiss instead of Gruen and it still worked.
The balloon puzzle I totally didn't get.
The balloon puzzle is time-consuming and fiddly and it’s a lot to concentrate on by the time you get that far. I think I sped that sequence up a lot by cutting out the faff of rereading the instructions multiple times, and of staring through the balloon trying to make the letters out. :)
@drgareth my mistake with the balloon was reading the letters behind the numbers, instead of through the balloon, haha
Finally got this to the table, so just now wathching your playthrough. I agree that the water lilly puzzle was tricky.
Struggled with the balloon due to trying to read all the letters, not just the top or bottom.

Thanks! Glad it wasn't just on the waterlilies! It just has too many possible interpretations and unnecessary distractions, so I think it takes a bit of luck to end up with the right method.

More flaws in the puzzles than usual, I wonder if they playtested this one less for some reason, COVID or other?
Perhaps we just weren't on the same wavelength as the setters. :) You can solve them all perfectly well so I wouldn't say they were flawed, but it does feel like that there was less testing to spot misleading aspects of them.
