Very helpful! I just watched your video a few hours after my 11-y.o. son and I played The Abandoned Cabin as our first escape room game, which we enjoyed. Kind of disappointed to see we may have already played one of the very best, though! We'll keep playing them, maybe with other friends and family. Enchanted Forest is definitely on our radar now for our other kids to get involved.
They're all enjoyable! Our first one was Abandoned Cabin, and yet we had a great time with all the others. I think you'll have fun with Enchanted Forest!
Thank you for putting all this together! I haven't played any of the Exit game so far but I'm going to visit a good (non-gamer) friend of mine I haven't seen for ages and I'm thinking to pick up one of these to try. I just need to find out which theme he's most interested in...
My wife and I just played Abandoned Cabin as part of our Valentine’s Day. I’m a little bummed we played what you considered a #1 or #2. We only got stuck once and we figured out the issue relatively quickly. We actually solved 2 riddles the “wrong” way but still got the right solution. Maybe we’ll jump to another brand
Well I think we enjoyed it as our introduction to the series because it wasn’t the most difficult. If you’d like to try a more challenging one before you “exit” the series, try The Forbidden Castle. Anyway, thanks for watching!
Its funny how people can play the same game but have a totally different experience. We loved The Polar Station. We got 10 stars and all the puzzles just clicked with us. The Dead Man on the Orient Express on the other hand did not go so well. We got 5 stars and used a ton of clues. It was our first one so it might have been the wrong one to start with as it is a level 4.
Yeah, it is super interesting. I think the difficulty ratings are subjective too. What is difficult for one person may be simple to another. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
The only thing I didn’t like about the Catacombs was the blue dot clue. Finding that blue color on the poster IMO was absurd and we never would’ve figured that out.
I've done the cabin, which wasn't as fun as it could have been due to out inexperience with the series, but the second one we did, dead man on the orient express, was a lot more fun. We recently purchased theft on the Mississippi and I look forward to playing it tonight.
What a good idea to have crossed your two rankings. So I'm going to feel compelled to add a little difference ... First of all, I would say that I like Unlock for a whole bunch of reasons that are not included in Exit, but it's also very frustrating, sometimes too weird and finally the weak point of Unlock is the quality of the puzzles, very uneven in my opinion. EXIT, I love this game, the wheel, the ideas and there are no more ingenious puzzles, each EXIT has its share of wonders. ✨💖 And now my ranking: 13/ (only 13 in France for now) *The Polar Station* (I like it but less than the others) 12/ *The Sunken Treasure* (really cool, but less than the others) 11/ *The House of Riddles* (great for young beginners, but I'm not one anymore) 10/ * The Pharaoh's Tomb* (less cool than I expected, and less original than the cabin released at the same time) 9/ *The Secret Lab* (nicer than i expected) 8/ *The Forgotten Island* (Excellent ! less surprising, but only great ideas) 7/ *The Haunted Roller Coaster* (for the same reasons as the museum) 6/ *The Mysterious Museum* (too easy but so much fun for the whole family) 5/ *The Forbidden Castle* (saw the reviews everywhere, I was scared but ultimately what happiness. nevertheless also the one with some unfinished puzzles to me) 4/ *The Catacombs of Horror* (the immersion, the ideas so brilliant. but especially the challenge!) 3/ *Dead Man on the Orient Express* (I could have put it on a par with 2, so good. Must-have!)) 2/ *The Sinister Mansion* (If the cabin didn't have the coolest puzzle of all Exits, it would be number 1) and of course the number 1/ *The Abandoned Cabin* (clearly the most amazing and the most immersive. the best!)
Kudos on being able to remember as much as you did on these! I would have to go back through the components myself to remember this much, though I've also still got at least 4 to purchase & another couple to play at home. For the easter egg you mentioned, was there something other than (spoiler buried in the next comment which you can feel free to delete & answer) ?
My friend and I just went and got the catacombs of horror cause it looked fun and we completed it over the weekend We are now ordering lots of editions 😂
Exit games in my eyes have gradually gotten worse and worse as time has gone on. It's no doubt due to the fact that they're running out of ideas. Funnily enough though Unlock! (which was pretty bad early on) has gradually gotten better and better as time has gone on. As it currently stands, Unlock! is now my favourite escape room tabletop game right now. The app is what opens up the series, and is something the Exit games are seriously lacking.
Suggestion: You guys should have made the list together before the video started. There is too much over lapping this way....and it is very confusing. Since you never match every puzzel need to be discussed twice. A waste of time You need to talk about one puzzel at a time not two.
Catacombs is my favorite for sure! But yes it does come down to personal experience. I didn't have a good time with Dead Man on the Orient Express
It's so interesting how different it can be for everyone!

wow the shoutout to the translation team is pretty huge not many people if at all any ever do that when reviewing boardgames.
It seems to be a truly monumental task. Thanks for watching!

Those are Top 2 Exit games as well!

@@TheLightenUpInitiative we started it but it was super late so we decided to continue today, after we've rested

Yep. That's it! Thank you for watching! If you can remember to do it, come back and tell us what your favorite is once you've played them. :)

Thanks for doing this ranking. It was fun to watch. How about doing the same for the Unlock! Games?
It's something I've considered. We'd have to track down a few of them, especially now that the new Star Wars set has been released!
The Secret Lab just pissed me off. Some of the riddles made absolutely no sense, even with the clues.
