Hey guys, this is a re-upload. Warner Bros was being extremely difficult with this reaction. They blocked the original upload worldwide. I got in touch with the head of the licensing department over at WB and she was pretty unpleasant about the situation. I even told them, they could take all the money made from the video as long as my channel could view the video, and that was turned down. That being said, after the re-upload, not only is it viewable, we are making money on this video! Making this content for you guys is not about the money at all, but this makes me feel like we are taking a page out of School of Rock's book and STICKING IT TO THE MAN! Thank you all for everything. This problem has required me to push back Marvel Monday. That being said, Wakanda Forever will be ready to go on 5/15! Love you all. Except you Warner Brothers, fuck you guys. Lol. Joking.... kinda.
Damn I LOVE when UA-camrs are this open and transparent. Love a lot of WB movies but it’s good to know that they’re a bit of a shitty company either way. Thanks for not filtering that for us Alex!
@@rainbowpegacornstudios I think the caveat was that none of the Weasleys should know how they got the money to support their shop. But I could be misremembering
In the book you find out that Neville’s parents were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange using Crucio. That’s why it’s so messed up that he had to stand there in the classroom and watch the bug get tortured by the same spell that wrecked his mother and father.
Victor is so much cooler in the book, he's genuinely nice and concerned about Hermione and often goes to Harry for advice and to make sure it's okay that he is pursuing her. They kind of made him heartless in the movie.
I don't think he was heartless, I think his expressions gave away that he was kinda sweet, but very introverted despite the success. I wish he had more lines
1. its not harry that decide who hook up with her 2. He wasnt heartless at all he just wasnt befriended with harry but thats all. he didnt even bully him 3. again its not harry who decide who hook up with hermoine best friends or not
@sonicartzldesignerclan5763 In the books, krum thought that they might be dating and wanted to check incase he was stepping on something. Especially after an article by Rita Skeeter came out lying about a relationship between them.
@@sonicartzldesignerclan5763Did you even read the books? What are you going on about? Krum asked Harry about her to make sure Harry wasn't dating her because of Rita Skeeters article. He didn't want to pursue a girl already in a relationship with someone else. It was an honorable thing to do. You are putting your own issues into making a point Twice about it not being up to Harry. Nobody, including the author, thinks it was up to Harry who Hermione dated.
Its not honorable cause if you want somebody you just go over ask and get a yes or no and can listen if she already have an bf or gf or something. Asking harry is just pointless and dosnt implict her decision if she will date him or not So its literally time wasting But the new generation today literally dont even have balls to ask people outside no instead they use messsenger and dating apps So im pretty sure i know why you like this acting xD @@redshed2020
And I’ve seen people say it’s over the top and mock it and I just heavily disagree, I think if anyone saw their child like that after being so happy thinking they won it would be a reaction pretty similar
People who take the piss out of that scene are obviously not parents. OR they have some serious emotional distance from their Children. That is probably how i would react if i were in that situation. My Son's 12, and we're not just Son and Father. We're best Friends too. When you've been through so much with your Children, the vaguest thought of losing them throws you into a depressive heap. Anyway.....👍
And to those who constantly compare the books to the movies, in the book, I didn't feel any pain from the parents when Cedric died. The scene in the movie is far superior and breaks my heart.
In the book, it explains that Fleur is 1/4 Veela (similar to a Siren), so she actually gives off pheromones that put people attracted to women into a kinda trance.
He is very hesitant about asking for help, because in the past, whenever he did, he received more abuse from the Dursleys. He learned to fence for himself, and for a victim of abuse, being by himself for all his life, is difficult to talk and ask for help.
@@brianalambert1192yeah but in the books he asked for help from people he really truly trust and know they love him. For example Sirius. They write to each other during whole book, Sirius even returned to Britain for Harry. Sad that they didn't show it in the movie.

"Harry did you put your name into the goblet of fire?" Dumbledore asked calmly. Then we get this scene lol. You are on point Dumbledore wouldn't act like this Dumbledore does.
@@MrHale LMFAO proven wrong so you shift your point and you’re still wrong💀 why tf would the slightly crazy helpful old headmaster be showing off his badassery too a bunch of first or third years? You’re genuinely such an idiot. Just admit you were wrong and move on.
I really don’t mind it at all, I don’t think it’s a big deal or a big change. This Dumbledore has a bit more passion and spunk 🤣 his worry for Harry came out as anger, it’s understandable we’ve all had that moment as a parent, which I know he isn’t Harry’s parent but it’s a similar relationship
You asked what does it mean when Hermione says "everything's going to change now isn't it?". She's referring to the fact that now, for the first time in the franchise, Voldemort has officially returned as a flesh-and-blood wizard. Also, they didn't announce the winner of the tournament (it was Harry) in light of the tragic events that took place during the maze. It wouldn't have been right.
@@ilbwfy1550it’s actually great acting. hermione’s trying to stay optimistic and brave despite knowing the inevitable, that Voldemort’s come back and they’ve got to face whatever lies ahead
15:51 "Dumbledore asked calmly" in the book, but here the actor is like nah 😂😂😂 it's funny how you commented on his temper right before this scene happened
In the books, Voldemort is even more serpent like. His eyes are red and he has a raspy voice like a whisper. Ralph Fiennes the actor, does a great job portraying him. I just wish they had made his eyes red in the movies. Would’ve made him look even scarier.
Omg so that is why he doesn’t have a humanly shaped nose?! Cause he suppose to look like a snake? Oooooo😮but why? Cause Snakes represented Salazar Slytherine?
@@Owillowwally yep, basically. Read the books and you’ll get even more of a detailed explanation on this in addition to more of Voldermort’s backstory.
Another detail that wasn't explained in the movie: Fleur was part Veela, which is not exactly human but very beautiful - hypnotically beautiful - and that's the reason why Ron blurted-yelled at her to ask her out. He was entranced.
Neville watching the spider suffer was explained to bother him so much in the book because his parents were tortured into insanity by it and currently reside in a mental institution and don’t remember their son. And Barty Crouch Jr. was one of the ones that did it. So he was showing their son what he did to them.
@@nathanwerner8200 Rodolphus Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, Bellatrix Lestrange and Bartemius Crouch Junior were brought on trial for torturing Frank and Alice Longbottom into insanity. For a minute, I thought maybe you were correct, but I looked it up to be sure.
@@nathanwerner8200 No worries, man. It’s been something like 15 years since I’ve read the books, so I wasn’t so sure myself after you said something lol
Harry not wanting to ask adults for help, I wouldn't say is explained better in the books because even people who read the books don't catch on to this, but you get the impression more. Harry says that the first thing he remembered learning from the Dursleys was to never ask questions. They'd yell at or punish him if he did. In school he was bullied by Dudley so nobody wanted to be Harry's friend because that meant Dudley would target them. His teachers gave the impression that they were mean to Harry or at least looked down their noses at him, just not to the same level as the Dursleys. I also have to believe that they were ignoring clear signs of abuse going on. Harry essentially learned that he couldn't rely on adults when he needed help. He had to figure things out for himself. Once he got to Hogwarts, he was very hesitant about talking to the adults because he assumed that they'd think he was lying or being childish or complaining. Hagrid, Lupin, and eventually Dumbledore seemed to be the only people that Harry felt comfortable being open with, at least as authority figures go. Other than them, Harry never really felt comfortable laying his burdens on others, he felt he had to bear them alone. There's actually a really good section of Goblet of Fire where Harry talks about feeling like he couldn't share his worries and concerns with his friends and he wished there was someone he could go to and not feel stupid to ask for support. Someone like a parent. And it suddenly hit him that he could ask Sirius for this. Which he feels stupid about not thinking of first but then reminds himself he'd only recently known that he had a godfather. But even this backfires when Sirius says he's coming back to England to be close to Harry during this event. Harry is furious with himself for going to Sirius over something so trivial as a bad dream because he's worried Sirius will get caught and killed. Which only reinforces Harry's reticence to ask for help And then there is the scene that I am furious was cut out of this movie, and bear with me here, I just love this scene. At the end of the book Harry is recovering in the hospital wing after what happened with Voldemort and Moody. He is in immense shock, Ron, Hermione, and the Weasleys are all there and there's just been a major argument between a bunch of characters about Voldemort returning and what needs to be done. Mrs. Weasley is doting on Harry trying to get him comfortable in his bed to get back to sleep. Everyone knows what Harry has said in general about what happened that Voldemort returned and Cedric died, but none of them know the details of what happened. Only Dumbledore and he's told everyone not to ask Harry to go through it again right now. Harry is trying his best to hold it together but he doesn't want everyone to see him break down. Mrs. Weasley tries to direct his attention to the thousand Galleons in prize money he won for the Triwizard Tournament. "Think about what you'll buy with it." "I don't want the money. You all take it. Anybody could have it. It should have been Cedric's" A pause "Harry, it wasn't your fault." "I told him to take the cup with me." (In the book there were quite a few minutes of Harry and Cedric discussing who should take it, so it wasn't a spur of the moment decision) Harry is fighting back tears at this point and wishing his friends would look away from him, Silence, and then Mrs. Weasley hugs Harry in a loving embrace. And Harry's internal dialogue goes into how he does not have a memory of ever being hugged like that, as though by a mother. And it all hits him at that moment. Harry was almost 15 the first time he remembers being held lovingly by a parental figure and it was immediately after one of the most traumatic events of his life. To Harry growing up, adults were either hurtful, dismissive, manipulative, or an obstacle. It is only in his mid teens that he started having trusting relationships with adult figures who he felt comfortable being honest with and even then it's about this serious stuff, no normal conversations about grades, or girls, or friendship woes. All about life or death matters. Of course this kid is going to have major issues with telling people what's going on
its because he hates being treated as a kid, though he is one. whenever he tells Dumbledore or mcgonagall something, they ignore what he said and acts like it means nothing. and harry hates this kind of treatment thats why he never wanna tell something, its explained very well in the books. he is often angry at dumbledore for being silent so he wants to be his own solution by acting alone
I’ve read the books through 13 times and never fully grasped that first paragraph of how all those things came together to make Harry not want his feelings to get out to adults. Well said.
@@theapocalexI know, as a kid reading that for the first time I thought to myself 'thats so sad, poor Harry.' it's not until you're older and matured, esp emotionally, you really understand how heartbreaking that scene is for a boy who only just started trusting adults to help him out and having for the first time experienced what others take for granted- the embrace and understanding of a loving parent. Freaking cried when I reread it years later
[BOOK SPOILER ALERT ‼️] To your question “who won the quiddich World Cup?” Ireland won but Krum was the one who ended the game by catching the snitch. During the final, the Bulgarians found themselves down by 170-10 and Krum made a judgement call by catching the snitch and ended the game so that they’d at least lose by a mere ten points.
Wait a minute. If they only lost by ten, why not wait a little longer to try to get 20 more points. It seems silly to "make a judgement call" until they were completely out of reach.
@@thefitnessgrampacertest5732 Yea bulgaria in that sense was hemorrhaging points there would of been no way to score even twice more if Ireland's defense was as powerful as it may have seemed in the book.
Lets just say this, Quiddich doesn't make sense as a sport. If you actually think about it, there's no way it would work, let alone be as popular as it is. It's quite obvious Rowling didn't get how sports work when she wrote it.
Fun facts: Barty Crouch Jr is a Ravenclaw, him and Peter Pettigrew -a Gryffindor- are the only non-slytherin death eaters listed in the books. And Barty Crouch Jr in the form of Mad-Eye Moody taught Harry how to resist the cruciartus curse. And was all around considered a good teacher, rough and little odd, but a good teacher. Having a Ravenclaw background, he actually does care about learning and teaching.
Actually, it was the Imperio curse the one that he teaches Harry to resist. I think that he wanted Harry to know how to resist the curse because he has been under the effects of it for a lot of time, being his father the one cursing him (plus the fact that he’s a Ravenclaw, as you said, and was in his nature to teach such strength)
@@VoidStiles24 Yeah, the same way there could be great people in Slytherin, there could be shitty people in Gryffindor as well, sometimes... EDIT: So it's not totally all black or all white, and that's what I like the most in Harry Potter. Even though it still remains very manichean, mostly. Kinda' like in Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings of course, for instance. Or in Disney movies, but a little less worse though, about that...
12:35 “He survived the killing curse, but he didn’t do shit.” This is probably going to sound weird, but I always kind of identified with Harry about this. When I was a toddler, I had cancer, survived, and was gifted the first 3 HP books (4 was not out yet) as a get well present. As a little kid I thought I was special because I was “the boy who lived.” But eventually I realized that I didn’t do anything, and instead I was just fortunate. I was fortunate that it was caught early enough, that my family was able to get access to treatment, and that the treatment was effective. If anything, it was surely a lot more traumatic for my parents, since they were the ones who realized something was wrong and had to deal with the stress while I was so young that I don’t even remember it.
The angry Dumbledore was one of the main criticisms about this movie, that Dumbledore wouldn't yell at Harry like that, he certainly didn't in the book. Fortunately Michael Gambon did find his footing and settled in to the role in the subsequent movies.
To answer some of your questions about what they left out of this movie but were in the Goblet of Fire book; Harry is still living with the Dursleys. He was only visiting the Weasley home so that he could attend the Quidditch World Cup with them. It took a lot of crazy doing but Arthur Weasley and some of his kids visited the Dursleys home to ask permission to take Harry. It was chaos and almost disasterous but they managed to get permission. Ireland won the Quidditch World Cup even though Victor Krum was the one who caught the snitch. What happened when Harry and Voldemort's wand connected during their duel is called Priori Incantatem. That is when two wands that share the same wand core connect (remember that Olivander told Harry in the first movie that he and Voldemort's wand both have Phoenix feathers from the same Phoenix). The wands matched each other. As a result Voldemort's wand began to reveal the lasts spells it casted. Killing Cedric came first because it was the last thing it did. Then the muggle caretaker of the house that Voldemort was hiding in. Last was Harry's parents. Harry did receive the prize to the Tri Wizard tournament but he secretly gave it to the Weasley twins with the promise that they would buy Ron new dress robes. Harry did first tried to give the prize to Cedric's father but he wouldn't accept it. Now what was in the Goblet of Fire book but was never showed or was changed completely in the movie; Barty Crouch Junior was supposed to have been in Azkaban all this time as a result of what he did to Neville Longbottm's parents but Barty Crouch Junior's loving mother traded places with him by using Polyjuice potion. The Dementors never cared who was in the cell as long as they got to feed off of someone. When Barty Crouch Junior was finally captured at the end he was punished by having his soul sucked out of him via a Dementor's Kiss. He is not dead but very much lifeless so to speak due to him being soulless. It was Dobby (who now works at Hogwarts) that gave the Gillyweed to Harry. Ron's brother Percy Weasley had already graduated and now works at the Ministry of Magic as Barty Crouch Senior's assistant. Fleur Delaquor is revealed to be part Veela on her grandmother's side. Veelas are powerful magical beings that are so attractive that they cause the opposite sex to go wild over them. Hence why Ron was nuts about Fleur. There is a couple more things that was revealed in the end of the book but I won't say it because it's a bit of a spoiler for the next couple of books. It's best you see it for yourself as you watch. 😉👍 BTW, to answer another question you asked; Yes, I saw all 8 of the movies in the theaters when they were first released. I was even able to go to a couple of midnight showing where there were nothing but pure fans. It was great. Have you sorted yourself into your Hogwarts house in the official Wizarding World website? It was created by the author, JK Rowling and the Sony company. You just take a very interesting personality test and then the Sorting hat reveals your house. I'm a Gryffindor and my brother is a Slytherin. 🏰🧙🏻♀️🧙♂️🪄🦁🐍👍
The UK is a weird place sometimes. That bit with ferret-Malfoy in someone's trousers, that wasn't totally out of nowhere. For a while in the 1970s in certain parts of the UK, ferret legging was a competitive sport. Nobody seems quite sure where it started, maybe as a 'who can keep a ferret in his trousers the longest' pub bet.
The licking is a character trait he has. If you pay close attention you can see him doing it as Mad Eye Moody. It’s easy to miss, when his father was talking to him dressed as Moody he saw him do it. That’s part of why he killed his father. Yeah he killed Cedric, Avada Kadavra is the killing curse remember, only Harry has survived it.
10:52 Fun fact about them always having a new DADA teacher is because Voldemort cursed the teaching position after he was rejected by Dumbledore. Voldemort actually applied for the job and after he was rejected the curse was that: No teacher would ever last more than one school year. Lol he wild and petty for that 😂
I’m pretty sure all the spells are Latin do your probably wrong but it make sense for them 3 to be a different language ok never mind that pretty interesting how the hell did jk learn anything about that language as I had a hard time even finding a translator
@@joshuawilliams4314 I’m gonna need you to either brush up on your English or write in another language, because that previous comment is a jumbled mess of incoherent words.
You do have a point about the Dumbledore switch. In the books he was consistently calm and composed. One of the few times he actually loses his temper is in prisoner of Azkaban with the dementors and even that is only alluded to. I do think Michael Gambon did well for the darker shift that occurred after Chamber of Secrets, however, he did need to tone it down a little.
I agree with some of what you said and also understand your pov but I like this version of dumbledore more for the movies, it comes across as passion and genuine worry to me, like when your kid goes to run on the road or something and you freak for a moment then calm down again, the anger comes from love and worry
Being consistently calm and composed doesn't always translate from page to screen. It was more realistic to have him be a little aggressive in certain situations.
But it's mainly just THIS movie. He isn't aggressive in the previous or next movie? In fact. This entire movie is very... Loud and and aggressive. Every single character is constantly screaming and being mad
They never explain it in the movies, but long-story-short, there is a jinx on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position that makes it so a teacher only fills the position for one year.
A little back story though it might be already in the comments I'm too excited to write this down. Basically wands are made out of two things, the wood and a magical core. Olivander, the wand maker in the first movie had said this about Harry's wand that it's brother gave another feather. So the magical core of Harry's wand is Phoenix feather (can you guess whose Phoenix is it? 😅) the pheonix gave out only one more feather, guess where it is? It's the core of Voldy's wand too. So in a way both their wands are brothers so can't fatally harm each other. This was however unknown to Voldy before the dwell in this movie. He'll figure it out soon. Second thing and i swear it's the last, there's no way to defend a killing curse and anytime we see Voldy attack Harry, he's all about the kill, so the only option Harry has against such a spell is Expelliarmus, which is a disarming spell, basically to disarm the other person of a weapon in this case it's a wand. Harry needs to make sure he does before the killing curse is said and he needs to point correct or else the spell just pushes someone far off while they pass out. Ps- because their wands can't harm their owners, cause technically they are brothers it created a reverse spell. A small sphere got formed between the two and a couple last spells from their wands were repeated. Last spells from Voldy's wand were killing curses to all the spirits that you saw, harry's mum & dad, the old caretaker and Cedric.
In the book the top box at the world cup were the best seats! The Minister of Magic, the Bulgarian minister and other top people were all sat with Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys. Thanks for the re-upload, stick it to the man! Can't wait for the next one!!
The new actor for Dumbledore respected the last actor a lot and knew he couldn’t live up to the original and didn’t want to just copy him out of respect so he and the directors decided to let him do his own thing
Neville took the crucio curse so poorly because it was done to his parents to the point they didn’t recognize him at all by the Lestranges. He was the other child with the potential to kill Voldemort in the prophecies but ultimately Voldemort killing Harry’s parents made him the one to kill Voldemort.
AND by Barty Crouch Jr... like they didn't know it, but he watched the same man who tortured his parents into insanity as he tortured a spider.... horrifying and tragic
This movie totally cut scenes of : 1.Dursley house. I really love that part in book where Mr weasley, Ron, Fred & George come to Dursley's House to take harry for the quidditch World cup. They stuck in electric fire plate (using floo powder) and blast it completely. Fred and George intentionally drops candy which is eaten by dudley and his tongue 👅 became so large & long 2. Winky 3. I hope when you get to the end you do the 20 year anniversary as well. It is such a great insight into the whole journey behind the scenes, and after watching all of the kids grow up and bonding with all the characters it is a perfect end to a beautiful journey.
As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!" Also, they got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood red eyes with a slit-like pupil. Another fact, the creature that the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was an arachnid called a whip scorpion.
that's a mighty disingenuous take. read the books, the movies follow, and ten fucking years after the movies come out the website launches. i'm hufflepuff too, and cedric means nothing to me.
@mike math You do know that not everyone Is the same age, right...? You're speaking like they're your age, just late to discovering the series. Not everyone was born to watch the movies or read the books when they came out... Shit, i was 9 when the first movie dropped, then I got into the books. There's many who discover Harry Potter everyday for the first time, they get started with the first movie and/or book, then go through all the online quizzes before finishing the rest of the series... So, the fact it was 10 years after the films that the website was launched is pretty irrelevant for that reason. if you read the books, there's a lot more involving Cedric pre and post death, so I can see why some like him more than others.. Even though he wasn't close to being a favorite of mine and the movie version didnt portray him like he should have been, i still don't feel like he was utilized enough prior to his death. Or maybe you just think your opinion matters more and fuck everyone else's thoughts 🤔
There is a reason the Sorting Hat took as long as it did with Neville--he is incredibly brave, but also tremendously loyal. Neither one of them could decide if he belonged in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.
I watched it in theater today.....All Harry potter movies have re-released in India. So glad I was able to watch some of them in Theaters....legit dream come true
Mad Eye Moody was my favorite character in the entire series. I've written essays about his character presentation, background, and fate for websites that support veterans with PTSD. He is just a great character! The scene where Dumbledore shouts at Harry is completely different from the book, and a lot of fans had an issue with the change from D quietly quizzing Harry to displaying loud anger.
I've never understood why people had an issue with that scene. It's like no one has ever heard of being aggressively calm or they don't realize that things don't always translate from page to screen well. Imo, it was more realistic to have him be a little aggressive in certain situations.
i keep coming back and checking of a new reaction was dropped and was so happy to see five videos in the playlist just to find out that its a repost TT patiently waiting here
My grandma was VERY into these movies as they came out and naturally so were all of us. Every year these released into theaters and EVERY year we went and saw them multiple times (same with LOTR). A really unique bunch of experiences!
Happy to rewatch the video! I hope you don't run into more of these issues with the rest of Harry Potter videos. I'm glad you are able to make money on this video in the end as well, stick it to the man!! 😁
When this movie came out, my family took me to watch it in the theater, the projector broke right at the beginning, when the snake was moving between the skulls, I never cried so much. The place couldn't afford another projector, so we only got to watch the movie years after its release, when it came out on DVD.
The costume designers really took the whole "awkward Neville" thing and ran with it. They put things behind his ears to make them stick out more. He had a mouth thing to give him those awkward buck teeth. They even put him in shoes that were too big. But IRL? Matthew Lewis won the puberty sweepstakes. That boy glammed up big time.
Just finished reading the GoF book for the first time ever and WOW the amount of enormously important plot details that they left out of the movie was insane. Shame the director of this particular movie hated the project, it couldve been an absolute masterpiece. But i can still appreciate the movie for what it is
I watched every single Harry Potter movie in theatres. The first one I watched without even knowing anything about Harry Potter and it blew my mind. I immediately started reading all te books. I was born in 1992, so I was exactly 11 when the first movie came out. I really grew up with Harry Potter.
Barry Crouch Jr does the tongue flick thing as a nervous tick. There’s a couple times “Moody” does it too, and that’s supposed to be a subtle clue that it’s really Crouch Jr in disguise.
Watching ur reaction videos adds a whole nother dimension to these movies. So many comments on things I never noticed, it really helps me appreciate the movies more. That being said, I hope these companies will stop going so hard on creators. UA-camrs add so much to their respective communities, the companies need UA-camrs more than they think.
Those curved blade things are called a sythe, sounds like sigh-th it is used to harvest grain and by death to harvest souls... Ginny went to the dance with Neville...David Tenant is great in this also in Good Omens 😍 Harry and Cedric both won the tournament but Cedric's family turned dow any of the prize money so that all went to Harry, he uses it in year 6 to help Fred and George with something....

Also the Irish won the World Cup but bulgaria got the snitch .. which means the Irish scored more than 150 points over the other team before it was caught.
Dumbledore feaking out is what every fan HATES about these movies, book dumbledore is super calm and never screams. The new actor didn’t even read the books.
I've seen that tree where Malfoy was sitting in this movie and the courtyard where he talks to Cedric! They filmed at tons of old buildings in England, its fun to see places from the movie in real life!
Have to admit, my favorite part of watching your reactions is hearing your laugh. It's exactly like George McFly's (Crispin Glover) in Back to the Future. 🤣 I love it! 😎👍
YESSS!!! Was driving me nuts for ages till I figured out who he was reminding me of. Didn't know of it was okay to comment or not. But SO glad I'm not the only one who picked up on it. Brilliant hahahaha.
Micheal Gambon (Dumbledore) was acting that way because of the director who refused to read the book. So the Quiditch world cup final was cut (Ireland out scored Bulgaria so Krum caught the snitch to save further humiliation but lost the match) instead we had the long drawn out scenes with the dragon chasing Harry: not in the book (Harry gets the egg quickly to score maximum points). The ancient ship is to impress, it 'sinks' then reappears at another lake. The 'merpeople' were called Kelpies and live in fresh waters. Interesting fact according to the books: There were 4 people who would call themselves mrs weasley present at the tournerment in the crowd
7:08 I know this is late but for harry any adult he’s gone to for help has told him not to worry about it or that it wasn’t a big deal, and with the Dursley’s he always did everything by himself. So you get this kid who never got help in his life that is very independent and whenever he tried asking for help was denied. Yeah you would expect him not to go to adults when somethings wrong because that’s what he’s used to. Also I don’t think people never take Harry’s mental state into account. -he went from essentially being convinced that he was useless and worthless, to being famous and rich. -he was mentally/emotionally and slightly physically abused as a child - great things were always expected and demanded of him. -he was forced to grow up before he understood what being a child was. -he was apart of the prophecy which meant he had a horrible life -he constantly watches people around him die (lily, James, dobby, Sirius, lupin, dumbledoor, snape, headwig, Cedric.) I can’t imagine how much harry wishes to be someone else. Without pressure, without pain, without longing, with help, with parents, Happy.
The fourth movie/book is a turning point because it's when good people start dying. Before they got petrified, stunned, unjustly sentenced to jail or death, but eventually got saved. The ones dying were only the servants of Voldemort or Tom Riddle himself. In "the Goblet of fire" we see lots of good people die: Crouch, Cedric, nameless people who just happened to be there the night after the Quidditch match... That's why is not for children.

It's super interesting to me how the whole Moody turns Draco into a ferret scene is thought of as hilarious, but if that had been done to any of the "good" characters it would be immediately horrifying. It's a great example of how the way something is framed can completely change the way it's viewed.

Do you complain about Bellatrix using the Killing Curse against Sirius versus her using the stunning spell? Do you complain about how the Hungarian Horntail (in the film) breaks their chain and chases Harry for the next 78 hours instead of Harry grabbing the egg within five minutes? Do you complain about Barty/Moody doing that weird tongue thing? Do you complain about Polyjuice potion not changing your voice (other than for Barty/Moody)? Btw Barty Crouch Jr’s actor is David Tennant. He was also in Doctor Who as the 10th Doctor and Scrooge McDuck in the 2017 Ducktales reboot. Highly recommend both of them.
Couple smaller details that the movie skips over. At the beginning the old man, Frank Bryce, was the groundskeeper for that house, which belonged to Voldemorts family. After they died he continued to look after it and the village kids would tease and harass old Frank Bryce. So when he saw the light he just assumed it was more kids trespassing again. At the Quidditch world cup, the Minister pointing his wand at throat was the magical way of using a microphone. In the books however it's a spell to amplify your voice and then another to lower it again.
37:38 For reference, the director, Daniel, and Moaning Myrtles actress all confirmed neither of them were in the bath at the same time when shooting that scene. They shot separately.
I agree with your thoughts on the new Dumbledore. I feel like he never read the source material, his only direction was "English schoolmaster," and his only knowledge of English schoolmasters was listening to Pink Floyd's _The Wall_
You mentioned a different Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher every year. In the book it is explained that, that was the position Snape most wanted in the school.

No worries, man.
Which only reinforces Harry's reticence to ask for help
And then there is the scene that I am furious was cut out of this movie, and bear with me here, I just love this scene. It should have been Cedric's" A pause "Harry, it wasn't your fault." "I told him to take the cup with me." (In the book there were quite a few minutes of Harry and Cedric discussing who should take it, so it wasn't a spur of the moment decision)
Harry is fighting back tears at this point and wishing his friends would look away from him, Silence, and then Mrs.
Well said.
Well said! 👏🏆

I was fortunate that it was caught early enough, that my family was able to get access to treatment, and that the treatment was effective. The angry Dumbledore was one of the main criticisms about this movie, that Dumbledore wouldn't yell at Harry like that, he certainly didn't in the book. Fortunately Michael Gambon did find his footing and settled in to the role in the subsequent movies.
He did settle down and did a much better job in the latter films.
To answer some of your questions about what they left out of this movie but were in the Goblet of Fire book;
Harry is still living with the Dursleys.
Now what was in the Goblet of Fire book but was never showed or was changed completely in the movie;
Barty Crouch Junior was supposed to have been in Azkaban all this time as a result of what he did to Neville Longbottm's parents but Barty Crouch Junior's loving mother traded places with him by using Polyjuice potion.
BTW, to answer another question you asked; Yes, I saw all 8 of the movies in the theaters when they were first released. I was even able to go to a couple of midnight showing where there were nothing but pure fans. It was great.

Allegedly *** Its nothing more than an unconfirmed rumour even in the book
@@gabrielleroux2333 it’s one of Dumbledore guesses that are usually right tho
It started when Riddles applied for it and didn’t get it. Dumbledore’s theory was Riddle curse the position since he couldn’t get the job.
@@crazychic210 And one should remember that Dumbledore’s guesses are usually correct. 😂
And the Phoenix was Fawkes, Dumbledore's Phoenix ❤
@@ami8181 I don’t remember the prophecy being revealed ? I remember being like oh shit when I read the books and got to that part
jesus how can you just post two big spoilers to act smart and not delete when called out. super shitty
AND by Barty Crouch Jr... like they didn't know it, but he watched the same man who tortured his parents into insanity as he tortured a spider.... horrifying and tragic
This movie totally cut scenes of :
1.Dursley house. I really love that part in book where Mr weasley, Ron, Fred & George come to Dursley's House to take harry for the quidditch World cup. They stuck in electric fire plate (using floo powder) and blast it completely. Fred and George intentionally drops candy which is eaten by dudley and his tongue 👅 became so large & long
2. Winky
3. Ludo bagman
4. Hermione SPEW
5. Hogwart kitchen
6. Dobby
7. Story of Barty couch junior
8. Mysterious dead of senior Tom riddle and his family
9. Charlie weasley
10.Hurdles that arise in last task
11. Harid giant mother & human father
12. Rita skeeter is an animagus
And many more....😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I hope when you get to the end you do the 20 year anniversary as well. It is such a great insight into the whole journey behind the scenes, and after watching all of the kids grow up and bonding with all the characters it is a perfect end to a beautiful journey.
Alex not realizing dragons were part of Harry Potter world. Also Alex completely forgetting about Norbert.
As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!"
Also, they got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood red eyes with a slit-like pupil.
Another fact, the creature that the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was an arachnid called a whip scorpion.
I agree I’m a Hufflepuff as well and I wish Harry just took the cup alone after saving Cedric like Cedric wanted him to
@@KatieEquestrian1 it would have been better, considering Harry is the only person who can ultimately defeat Voldemort in the end.
that's a mighty disingenuous take. read the books, the movies follow, and ten fucking years after the movies come out the website launches.
i'm hufflepuff too, and cedric means nothing to me.
Found a whip scorpion in my garage one time. I was thinking "no fkin way those are real"
There is a reason the Sorting Hat took as long as it did with Neville--he is incredibly brave, but also tremendously loyal. Neither one of them could decide if he belonged in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.
Watched in cinemas when they came out. Everyone clowns on millennials, but we truly grew up with these characters, and there's almost nothing like it.
Same. My little sister had nightmares for a bit after seeing it.
I watched it in theater today.....All Harry potter movies have re-released in India. So glad I was able to watch some of them in Theaters....legit dream come true

12:26 there's a song (Hey Dragon) in A Very Potter Musical where Harry's song is exactly about that! 💚
McGonagall: "Well mannered frivolity"
"That's a weird way to say 'No grinding'" 🤣
My sister and I once watched the entire Harry Porter movie franchise in one day, we were that devoted to watching and finishing the series.
wish i had a sister
16:00 "Dumbledore asked calmly."
i keep coming back and checking of a new reaction was dropped and was so happy to see five videos in the playlist just to find out that its a repost TT patiently waiting here
My grandma was VERY into these movies as they came out and naturally so were all of us. Every year these released into theaters and EVERY year we went and saw them multiple times (same with LOTR). A really unique bunch of experiences!
Aww, that's so sweet and cool
But i can still appreciate the movie for what it is
This is the pivotal movie where it turns from life in the magical world.... to survival and death.
"Harry did you put your name into the goblet of fire?" Dumbledore asked calmly.
I watched every single Harry Potter movie in theatres. The first one I watched without even knowing anything about Harry Potter and it blew my mind. I immediately started reading all te books. I was born in 1992, so I was exactly 11 when the first movie came out. I really grew up with Harry Potter.
Same here dude
Fun fact, David Tennant made up the tongue thing for the father to have a visual reason to recognize him
Cant wait for HP 5! I've been rewatching the whole series thanks to you lol Love from Argentina!
Still laughing cause Alex called exactly the way I imagined Ron asking Fleur out when I read the book. 😂😂😂
I appreciate the effort put in to make sure your upload stays! nothing hurts worse than searching for an old video and realizing it's gone forever
Barry Crouch Jr does the tongue flick thing as a nervous tick. There’s a couple times “Moody” does it too, and that’s supposed to be a subtle clue that it’s really Crouch Jr in disguise.
Dude, your ability to cracking joke at the right moment kills me everytime 😂😂 your joke on hagrid while dancing with the big lady was funny AF 😂😂♥️🙌
Fun fact, malfoy was supposed to go to Durmstrang, but his mom didn’t want him so far away
Makes more sense when he’s actively cheering for them before the maze
Watching ur reaction videos adds a whole nother dimension to these movies. So many comments on things I never noticed, it really helps me appreciate the movies more. That being said, I hope these companies will stop going so hard on creators. UA-camrs add so much to their respective communities, the companies need UA-camrs more than they think.
“Ok… symbolism we don’t understand yet” is now something I will say every time I watch a movie! 😂
Bro your face when the big lady started speaking in the French accent killed me 😂😂😂
professor dumblydore
55:24 sounded like the weapon pickup in CS or something
watched it again incase you didnt get the credit for the last time you dropped it. its cool seeing the movie through your eyes since its been so long since I saw them the first time and I have read all the books so I know to much to enjoy it the level you do. thanks man these are all fun.
Managed to watch this the first time you uploaded but I'll watch again for an extra view on the new upload! Love these reactions 😁⚡
Thought i was crazy. I knew i ave already seen this.
Crispin Glover is a legend, when he’s the Thin Man in the Charlie’s Angels movies? Cracks me up every time, underrated comedic performance
YESSS!!! Was driving me nuts for ages till I figured out who he was reminding me of. Didn't know of it was okay to comment or not. But SO glad I'm not the only one who picked up on it. Brilliant hahahaha.
10:44 "Dumbledore Asked Calmly"
Cedric: "Are you serious?"
Harry: "Erm, no. That's my Godfathe...erm nevermind. I'm Harry. "
I'll see myself out...
-he was mentally/emotionally and slightly physically abused as a child
- great things were always expected and demanded of him.
-he was forced to grow up before he understood what being a child was.
-he was apart of the prophecy which meant he had a horrible life
-he constantly watches people around him die (lily, James, dobby, Sirius, lupin, dumbledoor, snape, headwig, Cedric.)
I can’t imagine how much harry wishes to be someone else.
My best friend and i got the dark mark on our arms years ago, back then all the ones online were cartoonish so i drew it from a screenshot of barty crouch jrs for us.
I think you'd enjoy the humor of the Very Potter Musicals lol
It's super interesting to me how the whole Moody turns Draco into a ferret scene is thought of as hilarious, but if that had been done to any of the "good" characters it would be immediately horrifying. It's a great example of how the way something is framed can completely change the way it's viewed.
Fun fact: in the books all wizarding schools are co-ed. It's just for the movie they made all Beuxbatons students girls and all Durmstrang students boys
0:10 you have no idea how much I needed this

Do you complain about Bellatrix using the Killing Curse against Sirius versus her using the stunning spell? Do you complain about how the Hungarian Horntail (in the film) breaks their chain and chases Harry for the next 78 hours instead of Harry grabbing the egg within five minutes? Do you complain about Barty/Moody doing that weird tongue thing? Do you complain about Polyjuice potion not changing your voice (other than for Barty/Moody)?
Maybe it would have been better had it been said “calmly,” but there are WAAAAAAAY worse changes from the book to the film. This just happens to be the least necessary change.
@@crawdaddy1234 dude calm down this is just a widely known joke among the fans… I’m not complaining I just thought it was funny how he mentioned basically the same in his reaction
So weird that you blame the actor instead of the Director!
Cedric didn't really die. He just moved to forks washington and changed his name to Edward!
I didn't realize the Harry Potter universe had dragons in it!
...sad Norbert noises. :(
37:38 For reference, the director, Daniel, and Moaning Myrtles actress all confirmed neither of them were in the bath at the same time when shooting that scene. They shot separately.
I agree with your thoughts on the new Dumbledore. I feel like he never read the source material, his only direction was "English schoolmaster," and his only knowledge of English schoolmasters was listening to Pink Floyd's _The Wall_
great video as always Alex! Btw that Vecna head behind you scares tf out of me LOL idk how you keep that in there
You mentioned a different Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher every year.
In the book it is explained that, that was the position Snape most wanted in the school.
It explains it in the first movie too I think. When Harry asked the twins who he was.(edit: sorry for the double response, show Wi-Fi)

To add to the squick of the bathtub scene, the actress who played Moaning Myrtle was in her late 30s, literally old enough to be his mother.
