100% true. My Zune was my absolute favorite device but whje I went to buy items to connect to my car, all I could find was iPod connections and then my car I bought had iPod hookup
Same as Windows Phones, amazing concept and they were beautiful devices, it's just that Microsoft didn't pay on the app store situation attention quick enough to Allow people to shift to those phones
I had a zune 30g that I literally dropped down multiple flights of marble stairs and ran over with a car. It's screen never cracked and still worked great. Basically everyone I knew with an ipod had a cracked screen.

Seeing Better Help in that list with the given rating was the biggest shock ever 🤯, I've seen their sponsorship/ad in literally every known UA-cam channel !! Yet in reality they were running this shitty business of selling the most vulnerable people's most personal data to other companies 🤦🏻😤😤😤 UNBELIEVABLE !!!
Never believe anyone who know you are vulnerable in some way. That's why never share these kinds of things with anyone even with most of your real-life friends, let alone on the internet. I know sometimes it's hard to tackle the situation, you feel alone and depressed, but you have to fight alone because people will make your situation 100 times worse.
I really like how Arun puts sponsor breaks after delivering all the content he had planned, instead of having it as an interruption in between the video, which a lotta other creators still do. This allows him to deliver us the content we love while also giving the sponsors their rightful mention
I completely disagree, destroy a good Video by their part for putting the advertising at the end where the ecstasy is high waiting for another "fail" but from my perspective the fail it was theirs, 10/10 fail on Aruns' part. (Of course, everyone has their own opinion 😁)
@@JMPolteRit is clearly labeled as an ad, he marks the twitter fail as number 1 (so you understand that there is nothing after it), and you clearly note that the sponsored intro is different.
The standout feature that Zune had that was way ahead of its time was a subscription music service long before Spotify, Apple Music, or UA-cam Music. With the iPod, you had to pay for each song on iTunes while the Zune provided an all-you-can-listen approach that every big player in the industry does now.
Yes and zune also allowed you to drag and drop mp3 onto it like a usb drive instead of how stupid ipod forces you to use itunes to convert the mp3 files
The other thing that made Zune stand out is you could access the music catalog directly from the device. Downloading music from places other than home was so cool!
Sounds crazy but my English teacher was on the Squidgame game show. He confirmed that during red light green light, they were forced to stay still for like half an hour at a time in a freezing cold cement warehouse. His limbs went numb, and multiple people were taken to ambulances after each round.
17:03 Fun fact : The Zune had WiFi & everyone thought it was for the music streaming services but it was actually for sharing songs form one Zune to another & Microsoft actually nicknamed it to “Squirting”
Ticketmaster caused such a stink in Australia it almost directly led to about half a dozen smaller sites to sell tickets. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival used to force everyone to use it not just lets people use their own.
The issue is that ticketmaster is part of live nation and live nation owns a lot of venues and have agreements with many others. They force you to sell exclusively in ticketmaster if you want access to those venues.
Yeah no, the problem with Marvel is quality, not quantity. And of course CEO will say 'oh, we were just making too many good things" instead of "we were making bad things".
Yea but Marvel needs to realize their… “new” way of making movies has kinda broke them down because they aren’t going for that beautiful movie everyone wants to watch, but more of a movie only some people are okay with seeing
That scam is just sad... it seems fraudulent companies will never stop exploiting the average person's ignorance of science and common sense. Snake oil salesmen - and so many more like them still out there.
It is amazing to me that in this day and age there are so many people who could fall for such an obvious scam. Maybe in like 1861 I could see people falling for a "Magic power bracelet that revitalizes the body and mind" but in current times it is astonishing that people can be so easily scammed.
Better Help is TERRIBLE. Not only with this whole selling data thing, but the thing thing as a whole is bad. I want there to be something for people to get better therapy, but there are so many stories of how bad the therapists are who may or may not even be licensed despite the site claiming they are. Im glad to hear someone talking about it and I wish more youtubers would.
IMO i think the company tried their best because they had to fufill like 60k+ orders in around the same time which is near impossible for a starting up company.@@letcreate123
Over the years there have been quite a few similar coolers made by various companies. Most of which fall into the "here's a cool idea, but lets overprice it" so initially they get good sales but then people realise that all they really need in a cooler, is a something that keeps their stuff cool.
Yeah it's honestly quite sad that if the creator wasn't greedy he could have gotten it listed on Amazon at a later date probably then made an absolute killing with how well it would have sold.
@@WyattOSheaQuite likely he had a bunch of debt which couldn't be cleared by shipping them out to people who had already paid for them. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is always a big red flag.
To me, BetterHelp preying on people in such a vulnerable state and selling them out to Facebook makes them a worse tech fail in my eyes than your top 3 combined regardless of the loss valuations.
I find it absolutely horrible I lost a family member in 2021 and I was suffering from grief for like 2 years and I went to a therapist I’m better now I hope better crumbles to the ground
I remember seeing those Betterhelp ads, finding them sketchy AF (and subsequently skipping past) and I am happy to find my suspicions validated, but sad for all the people who got screwed over.
The amount of shady sponsorships you see on UA-cam is concerning, a lot of them turn out to be scams or make false claims, especially a group of them from the same broader company including “Established Titles” and “Kamikoto Knives”. Yes UA-camrs just want money but they should do at least a little research into the companies they are sponsored by. The whole “I didn’t know” shouldn’t be a valid excuse, this is something they are promoting to their audience, to get their audience to buy whatever it is, they should have done at least a little research into the companies first. They need to start taking responsibility for the companies they promote. Better help is probably the worst case of this, if it is a scam product then all you lose is money and feel pretty stupid but trusting a site with personal information for them to just lie and sell it is especially scummy.
@@paulm6737I think it's revenue and over company state, Ticketmaster didn't loose money but are getting investigated while Twitter lost half it's worth making it the worst purchase.
I think they weight it as, those are almost just more scam artists as usual. Whereas the BIG companies are supposed to already be reasonably well off, so they just have to NOT do stupid things and they should have been, sort of ok. Admittedly I don't know what the real financial situation of Facebook and Twitter are, or were. I imagine the fact that they make their money based on ads means it's always a weird balance of privacy and intrusiveness, and actually serving relevant ads. I get the impression a lot of the lower quality ads are also straight up scams, if not full on viruses for some of the weirder apps.
Ticketmaster is a small company that only makes $16.7 billion per year. Facebook and Twitter would cower to the liberal justice department and would silence anyone the government claimed to be supplying misinformation. Like the Hunter laptop, Russian disinformation, COVID coming from China and more. X does not bend as easily and is attempting to make the platform less restrictive on free speech. @@EricLing64
The Zune was actually pretty good and deserved better. Sure it was "just another iPod", but it was one of like 3 that had enough storage to hold your entire library, and one of only 2 with a non-garbage UI. That should've been a whole vibrant product category and instead all we got was the ipod and a bunch of sandisk clip type players that weren't meant for much more than a workout playlist.
Zune was years ahead in raw sound quality over any Ipod. It could've been really the audiophine choice for playinf flac music if only Microsoft didn't force everyone to use the awefull sync app.
One of the most enjoyable UA-cam videos I've seen in a while, nice work! As a hardcore VR user it boggles my mind that Meta can waste so much money and come up with such a bad looking product as the metaverse.
Well, not really. They wanted to own everything about it, whilst developing it from scratch, which is basically next to impossible, in the time frame they had in mind. Imagine if Star Citizen needed to develop a game engine from scratch, and implement all of the "never before seen" improvements?! Our great grandchildren would probably be playing the alpha, or in other words, it would take 3 to 5 times as long to get (maybe close) to where it is today.
They got legs now lol and getting better. Best the vr Experience is p c v r and play station five! But they are the best standalone Pico do not make a fifth one
Yeah it is turning a corner with the q3 and the fact that Apple and samsung are getting into the game I feel like Microsoft will eventually make all there vr stuff in the gamepass app in meta quest and that will also boost it "oh have an Xbox oh now you can connect them" I see it oh and as far as being empty it's like going out to any other social enviorment people aren't always there sometimes there doing other things but going to worlds were there are more random people finding friends and splitting off into direct events always seems to work when there's nothing to do or getting to know 18 plus places in hw and vrc
I actually got those tons of those dash buttons near the end of the cycle when they were on sale for $1 but was still refunded the original $5 so I was getting paid to use them. Then on top of that, they actually have a lithium primary AA cell in them that I would then break out of the dash button. These batteries typically cost like $10+ for a pack of 4. I've since moved countries and houses multiple times and still have some of the lithium batteries I keep for high drain items of valuable items I don't want batteries leaking into.
I one of those people that like the Zune in fact i got a Zune 30 before eventually switching to a ipod classic because my mum gave me one for my birthday.I still held on to my Zune because of nostalgic reasons and its great ui design. 😀
The Amazon dash button actually can be useful for things other than ordering items from Amazon. It can be used with IFTTT to trigger custom actions. I used one next to our cat litter box, I set it up to record that the litter was cleaned when pressed, and then to send me a text reminding me to clean the litter if the button hasnt been pressed in the last 5 days.
As someone who bought the quest 1, and quest 2, and is about to get the quest 3 I agree with you. Marc isn’t doing anything the vr community wouldn’t be the same if these wonder full game creators didn’t make these fantastic games. This is one of the worst years for vr yet even vr content creators are getting less views. 2020 was the golden age of vr in my opinion.
This is the best year vr bc Resident evil 4 and 8 gt7 is arizona sunrise 2 meta has two Half life alex titles One asguards wrath 2 and new Assassin creed we got Lego propagtton paradise hotel and can't wait for number 2 the 7th guests vr is nice experience who wants not too scary also vampire the masquerade justice is an amazing on psvr2 bc headset feedback is next gen synapse and more coming so on
The reason why VR was so popular back in 2020 is because of covid. Nowadays, nobody new is getting into it because it seems so niche to most people; the only people really getting a Quest 3 are people that have already been in the VR space for some time.
and it's sad because VR is IMO one of the best ways to experience games. it's what really turns game INTO experiences. while there are some flatscreen games that I really love, such as TOTK and minecraft, nothing compares to the feeling of a great VR game.
Meh that's a big overreaction. It hasn't died at all. It will likely fade away in the near future but let's not lie it's still not even at that stage where users are dropping off rapidly.
I used to want a Zune so badly, but instead I had an even more bootleg off-brand MP3 player than came loaded with three episodes of The Simpsons in the crisp resolution of 144p. Still kind of a shame to see devices dedicated to one function fall by the wayside, even with the convenience of my smartphone I do still miss camcorders and MP3 players and everything else.
Hey man, I still use my mp3 music player from 2009, it's a small USB stick, with 8 gigs of storage I listen to all my music on that because it just holds so much value to me, with the memories as well
@@Killer1984able Even now you mean, since I remain staunchly anti-Apple. I just dislike the company as a whole. The pretentiousness, the Steve Jobs cult of personality, the potential child labor/slave labor thing that has always hung over the manufacturing plants in China, etc. I just hate the company. And while I may be just a hater, I'm not against their products per se. I am 100% behind anyone who says that the iPhone changed the world. And before that that the iPod changed the world. And I'm not surprised that now at the end of the year, The Best Phone of The Year awards are going to the iPhone. It's an amazing device. But everything else Apple can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned.

It's really too bad that the zone never got any love from the hacker/after market. Refurbished ipods today are amazing in every way! Performance, battery life, storage options, price..
With the dash buttons I would say one market it probably helped that's overlooked are those that might have needed it for accessibility reasons. Think of your grandma that can barely send a text, well you could set this up for her in her bathroom vanity and tell her to push it any time she's getting low on whatever. Older people in general were used to using buttons to interact with machines and devices. Just a thought.
I actually found his channel through one of these, the one where he talks about the Cybertruck. I'm glad he's doing more of these, I hope other people can find him through these!!!
I think with Marvel, disney as a whole has taken such a big L this year. Also, mentioning how they took ads from Twitter but doubled down on Meta, which are currently in a lawsuit involving child endangerment, Disney hasn't taken ads off their platform. They're hypocrites.
Says there is a reply to this comment but when I click to see the reply there is nothing. Why? Is this like FB hiding comments or replies they don't like?
I loved my Zune, and happily upgraded to a Zune HD when it came out. I honestly would still use it if it got software updates (as there are elements of the device that are just better than even using my modern iPhone - specifically in ease of use, using previously ripped MP3s from my CDs, and transferring music when you upgrade devices, which is easily the worst part of owning an iPhone).
1 thing I wanted to add for marvel is not only is it the burn out from so much content that is basically essential by this point but also the quality of that content. We still love shows like loki, having it be one of the most highest rated shows that has been produced by Marvel past endgame but it also really stands out when compared to many other shows like She-Hulk, Thor love and Thunder, Secret Invasion, Eternals, etc etc.

Kinda hard to believe that BetterHelp is still around and big UA-camrs, Streamers or whatever still take them as Sponsors. Prime example of doing anything for Money and not even reasearching potential Sponsors for as little as 5 Seconds.
I think for the quest 3 it’s defo something that will pick up overtime. Especially for gaming. Also VR Chat is a better idea of the metaverse and that is scarily realistic at times. For a standalone headset id say it’s pretty decent.
Quest 3 is a beast of a machine, but its just a lot more expensive, what should have been instead is the quest pro as it was priced at £1500 brought down to 999 a few months later and then completely obliterated performance wise by the quest 3 a few months after that. People who bought it for £1500 expecting a prosumer devices got a clunky headset that had loads of issues and was worth less than £400 after 6-8 months. That was an absolute joke
One year during Prime Days, I got like 40 Dash buttons for 99 cents each. They all still had the $5 off the first order bonus AND you could change the item it was attached to so you weren't stuck with dog food or whatever you didn't need. They also have/had some uses in home automation with a little work, but Amazon made that a lot harder when they shut down the service. One thing I have to give Zune over iPods at the time was that they offered an unlimited music subscription option when Apple was still charging per song.
The Dash Button's 100% make sense for someone like me who will absolutely forget that I needed to order more shampoo or razor blades the second I'm out of the bathroom. They also just added it to your list, not actually purchased the item, you still needed to complete the shop so you'd see prices there. Kind of annoying that a lot of the complaints were based on assumptions about how they'd work. Plus, living alone the sub system makes no sense for me - I don't use anything with any kind of regularity that a subscription would work well.
Of course it does. Now go vote for Trump you independent thinker 😂😂 Lmao just based on your one comment I know what your thoughts are on terrifs , abortion, immigration, free speech etc etc. So much for a free thinker lmao.

The standout feature that Zune had that was way ahead of its time was a subscription music service long before Spotify, Apple Music, or UA-cam Music. With the iPod, you had to pay for each song on iTunes while the Zune provided an all-you-can-listen approach that every big player in the industry does now.
Yes but their marketing department sucked
Yes and zune also allowed you to drag and drop mp3 onto it like a usb drive instead of how stupid ipod forces you to use itunes to convert the mp3 files
Zune was atually really good. If they stuck around long enough till I could afford one I would have purchased a zune.
I still have mine and it still works
The other thing that made Zune stand out is you could access the music catalog directly from the device. Downloading music from places other than home was so cool!

Over the years there have been quite a few similar coolers made by various companies. Most of which fall into the "here's a cool idea, but lets overprice it" so initially they get good sales but then people realise that all they really need in a cooler, is a something that keeps their stuff cool.

I've also heard countless stories of some of their "therapists" being unqualified or of dubious accreditation. Very dodgy platform.
yeah, its a really fucked up thing to do to pray on the insecurities of people seeking therapy for monetary gain
The worst part is they harmed the most vulnerable.
Worthless company I can't believe is still in business.
Love how a company literally gouging, stealing and cheating customers out of money is not as bad as companies that make stupid decisions.

@@paulm6737I think it's revenue and over company state, Ticketmaster didn't loose money but are getting investigated while Twitter lost half it's worth making it the worst purchase.
Betterhelp is worse. Save for the fact that it doesn't have a monopoly so people can just go elsewhere.
This company messed up an awesome product
Charging per song is more ethical for music artists. Fuck the consumerist mentality of the modern age
