  • Hi everyone
    Breydon Water Great Yarmouth
After seeing all the photos online, about the latest stranded cruiser on Breydon Water, I decided to go and have a look for myself. As it was a beautiful evening, I stayed for a while and filmed for a bit. I hope you enjoy today’s video.
    Thank you for watching.

To make videos, takes a lot of time (endless hours). Waiting and watching for things to film to show you. Then the video needs to be edited.
I know my videos are not professional and they never will be. I simply film what I see in front of me.
Therefore, if you do not like the music OR do not like the way I speak OR do not like how I regularly film from Ludham Bridge….. (or any of the other things, some people like to comment about ), simply move on to another channel that provides you with the things you do like.
People who write disrespectful comments about others out on the water and other rude comments will always be blocked.
    (Reported to UA-cam too).
UA-cam encourages creators to report such comments and frequently reminds us to do so.
    Thank you .

Oh wow what a quick way to ruin your holiday, it's a good idea to fully read your log book on board your boat for instructions on crossing Breydon, before you even attempt to cross, it looks very calm and easy, but the tides there can be brutal, and you need to know the rules, of course you can be unlucky and breakdown, but if you are sensible it's usually pretty safe, having said that we have been across in fog and bad weather where waves were coming over the top of the boat, but hey I'm still alive to tell the tale, but I bet that was pretty scary, hope everyone was ok, anther great video Lisa 🌞🌞🖐👍

Lisa, good morning, there has to be something inheritantly wrong with the placing of the posts. We who know Breydon well know that the channel dog legs to the left as soon as you get through the bridge. The uninitiated and unaware would not necessarily realise this and carry straight on. The problems at the yellow post as it was always known have been sorted with a ruddy great big sign saying to stay away from that area. Mind you there is also (or always was) sign saying NO HIRE BOATS BEYOND THIS LIMIT on the wall opposite but they still sometimes manage to be quite determined, quite innocently, to go that way. Thank you for the video.

I’ve only crossed Breydon once and was filming from the back of the boat. I’m not sure what the problem is but we were absolutely fine. I knew Breydon was huge but until you get on to the water you have do idea just how vast an area it is. I loved it. Thank you for watching.

Hi "New name". Since I've been sadly widowed, I feel like the boat in the video. But your charming videos help to keep me afloat, Danny x

Hi again New name. My very last trip to my beloved Norfolk, will be to have my ashes sprinkled in the sea on Blakeney Point. I intend to make one final 'living' visit - health permitting - ambitiously to meet you in person, and even more ambitiously, to accompany you on one of your magical film making excursions ! I would of coarse promise not to be a nuisance. Bye for now, and God bless you, Danny x

Wow, I'm so pleased. Do you have a private personal email address, so I can contact you directly, rather than using TouTube as a stepping stone ?

An unfortunate end to a holiday. Why not make a video of it being re-floated? That would be interesting and will look forward to watching it. Keep on making the excellent video’s.

It took several attempts to re float it. I wasn’t going to keep driving over there each day just on the off chance. They don’t announce when it’s happening.

The crew of 2 were helped off by the lifeboat and are ok. As far as I’m aware, the boat is still there.

I wonder if we'll ever have a season when someone doesn't get stranded on breydon water. I've been over many times with no issues.

Thanks for a beautiful view over Breydon Water but it's a shame that some people don't read their instruction booklet before taking a hire boat across that very tidal part of the southern broads. Take care and all the best. Stevie

Thank you, I love the views across Breydon as the sun is setting. The tide was rushing in incredibly fast but I couldn’t pick that up on my camera.
I’m filming something different over the next couple of days 😉 Hopefully ready for Sunday. 📸

Hi Leasa, how many have run aground this year so far and how many more will do so during the busi season. They must not have read the boating Manuel that comes with every hire but.it gives you something interesting to film and keeps you away from Ludham Bridge. We have seen rainbows in the clouds before also lightning in the clouds but it was not coming to earth all this in beautiful Norfolk. Only 9 days to go and we will be able to see for ourselves.

    • @NewnameSameme

It’s becoming a regular thing but probably no more than other years though.
I bet you’re both counting the days down . 🛥
