My favorite interview with a musician. It's refreshing that Chris is aware of how few answers he has after so many years in music and devoted to these causes. Also, the interviewer did a great job getting him to elaborate on what at times seemed like dead-end responses, but in a way that was casual and respectful. Is this what Canada is like? If so, sign me up.

One thing I love about propagandhi and Chris' lyrics is that they don't just talk about politics, but they connect it to the personal in a way that is so human and relatable. It's not just sloganeering or saying "this is right this is wrong" but explores the emotional implications of it as well.

Honestly as someone who got into punk thru bands like Propagandhi and Crass I am always so shocked at the punx in the scene who uphold and are uncritical about systems of power and domination.
As much as it may have gotten better, vegans still get made fun of, women (and any genders tbh) in the scene still get assaulted by people within the scene, social hierarchy reigns and consumption of drugs that destroy communities in the south go unquestioned. I almost wonder if there is a scene or punk community that is able to work through systemic and internalized forms of power and oppression.
Thank you for changing my life and keeping punk angry and political.

Dont necessarily agree with everything propagandhi says in their lyrics but ...god damnit...their music is great. They are allowed to have their opinion just like everyone else.

Many people I know including myself have become vegan and overall more progressive thanks to the influence of less talk more rock and other great propagandhi albums, I imagine the snowball effect of people adapting a more progressive way of thinking has to be in the thousands if not millions thanks to this band.

21:38 Check this out for a prediction.. Chris knew this current situation was coming & don't think we've seen the worst of it yet because we haven't. We're being really foolish allowing people to go back to work etc when there's massive rates of infection currently. This Winter is probably going to be the worst experience any of us will ever live through.

I hold this band in such high regard. Canadians really show a depth in how they challenge government controls while also (I’m actually assuming) tolerating immigration much better it seems than the US (I walk the line on this assumption so if I’m incorrect- def correct me) And they are generally happy. And for that- i give its citizens a tip of the hat!

Is that an apple watch on Chris' wrist?! Since he's such a self-reflected person (at least it seems so) it would be interesting to hear, what he's got to say about apple ...

lyingtoad there is no such thing as ethical consumerism under capitalism. He said his whole focus was to speak out against capitalism. Anti-capitalism isn’t about “not consuming”, its literally about the mode of production that exists being inherently antithetical to the masses. Not sure what you’re angle here is, but justifying the political/economic system of capitalism based on the fact that individuals in the working class experience coercion to participate in that system is a moot point. By the very nature of cops brutalising and even murdering people who make any substantive attack on capital means that individual people of the proletariate are powerless against the rich, but when we work together, we can win.

Cool band for sure. I’m in my mid 40s and was into all the melodic punk bands like bad religion, lag wagon, NOFX, and no use for a name. I think it’s fair to consider it skate and surf punk in the early and mid 90s but let’s not call it frat boy music. Frat boys were into Dave Mathews and hoodie and the blowfish, and maybe limp biscuit.

I have to say that even though I don't agree with Chris probably on anything not even the style of music that they played that I enjoyed this interview he doesn't seem like the angry person you used to be or at least he used to sing like. My old band actually opened up for Propagandhi for the Less talk more Rock Tour and my brothers and I hung out with Jord and he was super cool
