I didn’t end up studying design until I was 40 now I’m working as a designer and loving it. Things will present themselves when you’re ready to accept them or take them on. I am also feeling lost. I am I sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering at a local university. I was really looking forward to going to college, so why am I unhappy? I think academic burnout is a part of it. The college experience in general can also be very lonely at times, even with roommates and friends. I also find that days are really repetitive, but adding more to my schedule will only cause more anxiety and less time for homework. I am just hoping that there is light at the end of the tunnel and all the hard work will pay off. But then again, I also think, where do I go from here? Will my hard work be worth it? I don't know. Anyhow, let's hope there is light at the end for both of us.
