Oh! Forgot to tell you the SCORE I got! A commercial tree service for the county has been working in my area, and guess what? I got them to dump 2 dump trucks full of their wood chipping in my driveway! It's gonna take at least a year to be useable, but gardeners are patient. So excited! Texas Deb ❤️

Hey, Deb them mulchin from the tree services are really good for filling in holes in your yard to the flood. Just a heads up though. Don't keep it too close to your out. Otherwise sometimes it can have bugs in it. That you don't want in your house. Keep with a c*** ton of flies. But they're gone now. Cause that was like 2 years ago I did it. But I filled it in majority of my backyard was it? I may have to find another tree service and have my neighbor with the skids here. Come again because the stores this rainstorm that just du. About 3 inches honest. We at least have lakefront property again in i'm not on the lake

@@meemeesusie we are on a very rural mountain and nobody would spend the money to even spray their own land much less county right of ways. Our Township can barely afford to grade our gravel roads! Not worried about it at all. Deb

David if your well needs service how will a pump truck get to it with the roof and walls up. In Michigan we had very hard water and had to get a softener and reverse osmosis system. I used snowbol toilet cleaner on my sinks, toilet showers. Don't mix chemicals you'll burn your lungs. Our water was so hard it would destroy my faucets. ❤❤

I added several lemon rinds to a 1/2 gallon canning jar of white vinegar, then just let it sit. It boosts the cleaning strength, plus smells a lot better. For my stove, I make a paste with baking soda, dash of salt & a couple drops of Dawn dish soap on a wet sponge which I spread onto the stove, then pour some lemon vinegar on it & let it sit. But, we had iron in our well. The only thing that worked for me was CLR. It’s in a gray bottle, made for hard water deposits

When we lived in the country on a well in SC, our water had a lot of iron in it. Had to watch the cleaners for the septic system. We used a toilet bowl cleaner called sno-ball. Had to let it soak all day at work or overnight. It worked well and was available at the dollar tree.

No.. don't combine baking soda and vinager!!! I used to think that too.. but I learned that the base of baking soda and acid of vinegar cancel each other OUT! Yes, it creates a nice bubbly reaction, but then it's just a lemony tasting water.

Maybe further down the line when you have the $, perhaps consider rain water catchment. You will then do away with the iron content in your well water damaging your plumbing infrastructure.

  • @OMGaNEWBIE

Hi David -- That's an awful lot of gunge on those filters. Could it be that the men
who drilled the well for you, put that thingamajig that sucks up the water, way to
deep where it's to close to the bottom of the water bed, therefore it sucks up all
of the sediment? Investigate the possibility of it being to low.
Next, investigate which hot water tanks are best suited for "extremely hard
water", where you're not breaking the bank constantly replacing the filters.
    Do they manufacture re-useable filters?
Here in Toronto city, Ont., Canada, we have hard water too, but it's white not rust
coloured like your water. That's what makes me think that the thingamajig
is to close to a clay bed and it's sucking up the clay sediment.
There must be a work a round for this problem. Maybe someone in your
local gov't would know how to solve this problem. Can't hurt to ask to
    speak to a supervisor.

While many cleaning experts recommend using white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to clean rubber seals, others warn against it. The acids in vinegar can eventually break down the rubber seals, gaskets, and hoses in washing machines, dishwashers, and toilets, leading to leaks.

C'MON, how often do you have to go through this "clean your faucets & water hoses" to have clean water to drink? This would be a real drag for me, not to mention the quite a chore it would be. I sure hope you can get it all worked out & get your HOT WATER flowing. Sending love from Ky. ❤😊
