1st Story: Almost seems like the fantasy genre. "Dustlings" just sounds like something a fae or an elf would call humans and other "lesser" species. 2nd Story: Sweet, but it feels like it ended too soon. Wasn't really any payoff; at least have the two get together, either in public or private, to share a bit of affection.
@@theirishviking9278 Alfar and dalkalfar were still mortal. I think they might have lived longer than humans, but there was still every indications they could still age and die. The fey were the ones that never aged, and even if you killed them they just "returned to the cycle" and came back next season.
I liked all the stories, and the last one was a neat look into a non-human's POV... but in reading the text version, the author literally put apostrophes into every place they didn't belong and didn't put any in any of the places they did belong...!

Agree with some of the comments. The second story needed one more paragraph of them at least exchanging happy words or a hug or scritches or something. There was lot of build up and no pay off.

Yeah I remember the fey in Kingdoms of Amular using that word a lot for the mortal races.
