My dad was was worried and scared. The guy cussed him out before my mom forcefully hanged the phone. My dad tried calling back but my mom took the phone away and were on a discussion about it. I just wanted to tell you how much your little comment touched me. My grandmother got a call like that and if I wasn't there lord only knows what she would have done. I instantly saw her face drop and panic set in. She wouldn't say much at first just listen to them, then I heard her start talking about different ways she could move money around to get the FIRST payment to them. HA, that's when I jumped up and grabbed the phone. I told them I do all her finances and to hold on for a minute. I said, "Grams watch how much their attitude changes whith what I'm about to say and you tell me if you still believe this is SSI calling you." So I got back on the phone and said "Sir, I'm getting in the car now, I'm on my way to the SSI building with the police in route to meet me there, this call has been recorded". Instantly he started cursing and threatening, saying if we did that we would go to jail ourselves for sure. It was great. She thankfully understood at that point because she had spent enough time calling SSI herself to know that is absolutely not how they speak with you at all. Tell your dad to please hold his head up high, it could happen to the smartest of people.
@@madmouse7989 Yeah, I got FBI Moneypak'd (ransomware virus) almost a decade ago. Yeah scams have been around forever. I think everyone's been scammed in one form or another, even if it was just in an online game or something. I've been scammed a few times personally but not recently. I think everyone needs to get burned at least once to learn that not everyone is trustworthy or honorable in this world. Even if the video was fake, which I do not feel that is, doesn't change the fact that the material in the video is actually happening. I get calls all the time and I like to have fun with them. So, whether fake or not, it is a good video about making people, at the very least, aware that this scam is going on.
I doubt that he would admit to it being fake and still post the gofundme link to send money. But there are several things about the video that makes me think it was scripted. I do know that this type of scam has happened to real people, I just feel that this video is not truly depicting one of those people.
@@milodino3298 I knew about the scam and other scams such as computer repair scams which are more popular. They have fake virus popups on the internet telling you to call them and pay them money to repair your PC. Many people fall for this. There are UA-camrs that mess with these scammers, really entertaining to watch too but most importantly spreads awareness.
A few years ago I got a call just like that form the alleged “I.R.S” and I was actually scared and freaking out just like the passenger. He's comparing the validity of the video to something that actually occurs. Understand?
Some people are deaf only to the things they really want to hear, they want the worst in people. Thank you for being wise enough to understand the message.

I've made a very similar mistake in a completely different context. After it happened I felt physically sick. This was my experience. Hope it was useful in some way
He's saying don't be suspicious until given a reason to suspect. The whole reason the scam happened was because that guy trusted scammers. You can't trust what's real or not, you need to question everything. I like his sentiment but he's wrong

You are a really good person. I'm pretty sure most drivers won't help a random passenger. I really appreciate you for everything what you do. & You dealt with it in the best way possible. FYI I'm half indian half British and if anyone is offended about that indian scamming thing they're just getting offended by Pure and True Facts. It's sad to see that these kinda things are happening. Society is really messed up but you showed a great act of love, care and kindness. Your just a great person.
It's so heartwarming seeing content like this, my friend was at school in class when he was called by a scammer claiming he was gonna be arrested for "Child pornography " That is so horrible and such a huge accusation and they wanted him to pay in iTunes gift cards so that he wouldn't "go to jail" it was one of the worst SCAMS i've ever even heard of and he was getting ready to leave to walmart and get them when I walked into the class and had saved him from spending hundreds of dollars. This is such a huge impact and made me happy when he was saved from spending 3,000 more dollars
I appreciate your contribution, I sent you a message on the website stating what I will do with the money in the event that the passenger doesn't claim it. It will go to a charity of everyone's choice instead in case that happens.
I removed the GoFundMe, you should be getting a refund soon. Why did I remove it? Because apparently we can't have nice things, some people are just so toxic.
You should seriously consider making videos with just you saying positive affirmations and stuff like that. Your voice is so comforting!! When you were speaking about how "everyone makes mistakes", I felt that in my heart. Thank you for being you!
Many people are inclined to see any act of help or kindness on youtube as fake because they feel like no one does anything nice without getting something back.
You might have been able to save him from the scammers wholly but you definitely saved him from former exploitation from ppl who are clearly thieves. I don’t care where they came from, they’re still loathsome human beings. You are the Crown Prince of Uber drivers. You’re a great person!
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, I hope the gentleman has learnt something from this painful lesson and others will through watching both parts of these videos. Kindness cost us nothing except time.
You are the bee's knees! What a good heart. I've been in that man's position. The red flags went up so I didn't pay any money. I understand deception. It's easy to fall for them. We are all human. At one time or other, we have each been swindled. We need to cut each other a break! Again, I'm glad you were there for that man. May we each be there for one another as you were there for your customer. Continued blessings on you. Be safe my friend!
I love listening to you talk. Your voice has a calming affect. Btw, nice driving. Love how you payed attention & missed that accident where that car pulls out in front of you in the beginning of the clip.
Because I don't want people's effort to go to waste, the least I could do after somebody took the time to watch my videos and made a comment is to add a heart as thanks.
You rock thankful you were there to help him. At least you saved him money. If people don't believe all you have to do is watch scammer videos with hackers calling them. They stay on the phone and take up the scammers time so they save someone doesn't else gets their call. One hacker wipes out their files after the connect with the scammers. The hackers use a virtual computer so the scamers can't do anything to their computers. Again you are AWESOME!!!!
How do I say this without tearing up. Everyone and I mean Everyone need to follow this man's example of being a person who believes in humanity (look it up if need to). I have always been a believer in "Pay It Forward" and all ways will be.
Lots of people fall for this scam. We are taught to fear the IRS. I’ve been contacted at least 3 times by scammers regarding alleged money I owed the IRS. I’m lucky that I knew what’s up. My aunt almost fell for this but we were able to intervene. Stay vigilant everybody and watch out for friends and family, too.
It’s sad that people have to drag down others because they think it brings them up! All this does is bring down society all together! We need to be the brake that it ends at us and bring people up not tear them down!Thank you for posting!

Amen to that brother.. there needs to be more generous, compassionate people like you. I cry because no matter how caring you or someone else is, they would do whatever it takes to shatter you. I cry because no one is sitting down to listen to you. You are so caring that you sat on the side of the road for 45 minutes with a passenger to help him out. There needs to be more people like that. I'm sorry for this being out of nowhere, but honestly... We need to share more love in the year of 2020. There needs to be more of that, through everyone. Not just a single person but every person in the world.
He DID save him. Yea, he lost the first $3 thousand but he was on his way to give them $3 thousand more!!!! And probably more after that. He is an Angel.
You get a sub for being awesome! It's great seeing humans help each other without being forced. It amazes me how stunned people are when I wait to hold a door for them or help elderly load thier car if I see them, etc. . I'm like doesn't everyone do this?

Man the people who have anything negative to say about what you did ...screw them you genuinely saved someone from further being extorted he was lucky to get into your car. Keep being the person your are man, you were his guardian angel at that time be blessed bro the world needs more people like you.
Even if the video was fake, which I do not feel that is, doesn't change the fact that the material in the video is actually happening. I get calls all the time and I like to have fun with them. So, whether fake or not, it is a good video about making people, at the very least, aware that this scam is going on.
Factsss before watching his video i knew NOTHING about this scam
I doubt that he would admit to it being fake and still post the gofundme link to send money. But there are several things about the video that makes me think it was scripted. I do know that this type of scam has happened to real people, I just feel that this video is not truly depicting one of those people.
@@milodino3298 I knew about the scam and other scams such as computer repair scams which are more popular. They have fake virus popups on the internet telling you to call them and pay them money to repair your PC. Many people fall for this. If you know someone who doesn't know much about computers they should be aware. There are UA-camrs that mess with these scammers, really entertaining to watch too but most importantly spreads awareness.
Its not about "feeling its fake". Its 100% fake.
I can't ever have any fun with the scammers because it's always a bot :(

A few years ago I got a call just like that form the alleged “I.R.S” and I was actually scared and freaking out just like the passenger. I left my college campus ready to give them the money and as I was on my way to pay the money like that man, I had callen my mom and she looked up information on the actual I.R.S and they never make personal calls. Luckily I had some help and it helped out soo much and got me out of that scam. For that man I’m pretty sure he got lucky when he stepped into your car when you helped him out in that situation. I just want to say, Thank you for helping him. I know it’s not my place but I felt that exact same stress as he felt and it’s horrible for falling into such a scam. Thank you for helping out people in need!!!
I've been experiencing the same. It was a nightmare. I was in junior but I already have bank account, I already save almost like 11million IDR. I was so stubborn at that time, I don't want believe anyone told me it's fake/scam. And then my father told me, "okay, you can do that (doing some transaction with them) but before that I will move all of your money first, okay." And yes then I realized when they know when my saving are already limited (less then 300k and it was remind me after I send them some) why the instructions is transfer, then I fucking mad and angry to them. I am so grateful that I have my dad there, to save my 10million+ atleast and then we used it to by motorcycle for me when I get into high school

I've seen a lot people asking if he admitted that the video was fake. No, he did not. At 4: 21 he says: "scamming is fake and so is this video". He's saying that the video is as fake as people being scammed. So, we all know that scams occur on a daily basis which means scams are real. Since the scams are real then the video is also. He's comparing the validity of the video to something that actually occurs. Understand?
Some people are deaf only to the things they really want to hear, they want the worst in people. Thank you for being wise enough to understand the message.
the worst is even after that he said, "what a joke" so you could sense the sarcasm, yet people will still assume the worst.

I've made a very similar mistake in a completely different context. After it happened I felt physically sick. After this phase, about 30 seconds, your whole body becomes melting hot and you want to punch something more than you ever have done. I punched a hole in my brick wall i was that angry. You did well. You saved the passenger from giving them more money.
These scams are enormous. This is not fake, many, many people have been scammed.
He's saying don't be suspicious until given a reason to suspect. The whole reason the scam happened was because that guy trusted scammers. You can't trust what's real or not, you need to question everything. I like his sentiment but he's wrong
You saved a guy 3800 bucks and I agree with everything you said. Spreading the word about how this happens to hundreds or even thousands of people a day. Sadly the racial stereotypes you are apologizing for are the very things people should be watching for.
Why would he believe them unless he really DID have child porn? Idk maybe I didn’t get what u meant
