Was waiting for this one James. Saw another review on this but it was focused on minor issues, the buckle etc which is easily changed, as you've done.. This is nice and balanced and, yea... Its a beauty. I love the patina it's picking up already as well. And I'm really drawn to that Tudor stable so, this is ideal 👍🏻
The watch looks good, the only area of improvement is the bezel insert which looks too glossy to me but some people like this. Please show the watch again after a year or so to see how it ages

I am really enjoying the bronze as part of my larger collection. One of the biggest benefits of letting myself own a larger collection lets me add some interesting watches.
I really like the dial, and the size should fit almost everyone, but i am not a fan of bronze cases they are a little soft, and can leave your shirt cuffs looking a little dirty......if the case was stainless i would probably buy one because the the movement and dial are really good.
I bought this watch. The bronze and color of the dial are very good. But the strap is terrible: it's pressed pieces of skin, immediately began to tear, rub your hand; the pt5000 has a small power reserve of 32 hours.
Very nice watch James, thank you for sharing. The PT5000 in your watch is running very well, however I tend to worry about the long term reliability of this movement. I would rather have an NH35 even though it is not a high beat movement. The SW200 oferred is a terrific movement but bumps the price a little too much.
I was thinking that if I end up keeping this one long long term then I would just switch it out for the SW200 when it come time to service it. Perhaps that is a nice compromise when it comes to owning these watches.
That is a great looking watch and worth the asking price. I wish they had made it less of a homage though. Snowflake hands scream Tudor and there are several other styles that would look as good. Also why do they copy the Rolex case back? They are a pain to open and have no benefit that I can fathom. Previously, I would never spend more than £150 on AliExpress, but there are a couple of brands where reported QC and their quality make it worth it. I spent £230 on a San Martin sn0116 and it is just brilliant, better than anything I could buy for less than £700 in the UK and an original design too 👍
@@WATCHingJames The thing that stopped me was the fear of poor after sales service and warranty problems, after all some companies don't even stamp the card. I recently contacted San Martin through their website email and was very impressed with their communications. I was being cheeky and suggesting how they could improve one of their watches. Most manufacturers would never have replied.

It is still going great but I do agree. It would look better with an aluminium bezel.

It does not stand out much but would have been nicer if it was just a little more tucked into the case.

Right. The thing is that if your prices keep creeping up towards Seiko, Orient even Tissot level, then the quality has to be there.

There are definitely some watches in Aliexpress worth the extra money. It is just a bit harder wrapping my head around it.
