Do you have to use certain crimpers depending on weather it's aluminum or copper crimp. I have p line heavy duty crimpers , but they have a needle like tip. Which on aluminum makes a sharp edge on a 50 lb crimp. What do you recommend?
The ends will be flared out and down the middle on both side will be a flat sharp edge that sticks out about 1 to 2 mm. It will be about the thickness of a sheet of paper.
Dak 88 that sounds strange. The ends should be flared, but the sharp edge running down the crimp is wierd. Have you tried another crimper to see the difference. You may want to get a new pair. If you live in the States, I would be happy to send you the full length crimping video, so you can see everything we talk about. Email me inthespread@gmail.com

No. What kind of sharp edge?
Once you crimp the aluminum crimp and you open the crimpers. The sleeve will have a flat edge on both sides that stick out
On both ends or down the middle
