At least Giselle has some sympathy for you. Behaving while you are feeling rough. Good little girl. Best wishes to you all.
Glad to hear you're on the mend.
And I'll bet you my pet goldfish that the voltage regulator is acting up on Giselle.
Oooh.... I love a bit of garage/workshop archaeology!
I reckon you need to run around and label your boxes using a marker pen.
I hope that your love for Giselle is reignited.
I love Giselle and Ellie - proper cars of character! I hope you and the other half get better soon.
Hope you all get well soon .Good to see Giselle has fixed herself.
Great little Vlog, hope you and Miss Hubnut feel better soon, Giselle is sounding rather lovely.
Still waiting on Cyrusher sending me a bike to test 😂😂
Hope you are all feeling better soon, good news on Giselle.
Get well soon!
Good luck with sorting the unit out. I moved flats nearly 3 weeks ago (from rented to owner occupied) and with the loss of a storage shed I now have a spare bedroom full of clutter. It is good for the soul to clear out anything you don`t need. Hope you sell the CityRover instrument binnacle Ian and any other bits you discover.
Who knows? You might create space for a new car! 😁
Thanks for the update.
The CityRover was also sold in Spain but it did not reach the safety requirements for the Netherlands, Germany, etc.
Maybe the belt was a bit too tight after all, the car sounded like angry cat when revved but now idling and purring nicely :)
Good to hear you are feeling a little better.
Don't know much about these things, but is it possible the alternator has just 'run in' as it were? Everything settled down and loosened off a bit, especially the brushes. I'm probably talking crap! Hope you fully recover from the lurgy soon!😀
Autumn with its dampness and its lurgy. Joy. Get well soon, everyone.
Absaloutly brilliant video Ian ❤👍 hope you get well soon gazelle sounds lovely brilliant
Hope you all feel better soon 👍
Need a keep shelf and a sell shelf. The rest throw into the van and then it Has to go.😊 you can't see the wood from the trees and it gets frustrating trying to get anything done.
It's the autumn seasonal bug. My daughter had it last week and felt dreadful. You should be feeling better after 7-10 days. Plenty of fluids, paracetamol when needed for fever ( read pack instructions) Hope you all feel better soon.
Get well soon!
It would be worth taking every connection off the voltage regulator and thoroughly sanding them and spraying with contact cleaner, if you haven't already. Otherwise, maybe the voltage regulator has an intermittent fault...
Best Wishes for continued recovery! Plenty of rest and good, hot teas; I've used a tea made from honey, garlic, ginger and lemon; it helps w/ the respiratory ills, and soothes the stomach!
The noise was probably because the brushes were not bedded in properly in the alternator. Would explain the noise and low charge rate.
Hope you are all feeling better soon
While clearing out your unit I wouldn't be hoping to find parts that are needed and thought you had lost and more concerned about discovering rodents. I hope you, Miss Hubnut and the Hublets get well soon
Glad to hear you're better, maybe that's rubbed on Giselle
Focus on your health, both of you, we can wait till you're fighting fit again
Any vehicle stuff you should sell cheap for a bit of cash towards twc, myrtle, Giselle, elly, bella, or Betty
Glad to hear you are getting over the lurgi and hope the other hubnuts follow suit. I have no power or water at my lockup, but for cleaning purposes I take water in a camping aquaroll. If I wasnt to use a jetwasher I have a portable generator and the aquaroll holds just enough water to do a car.
To blast and sweat a dose of man flu,or a cold out. At bedtime two Beecham's powders in a glass followed by in a mug, hot milk, a very large tot of whiskey and at least four heaped spoons of sugar. My dad a Royal Marine Commando used to give me that when I was a kid..... worked every time .... lol
Experience has taught me to never trust problems that seem to fix themselves: they're just lurking around waiting for the best moment to rear their ugly head again.
Next video you do on the e-bike, I'd be interested in a description of how the rear suspension works.
I presume you mean how well it works?
Otherwise it’s just a linkage activated single pivot design with an air shock using what I would guess is very rudimentary damping?
Great to hear that healt issues weren't more serious, get well soon (all of you of course)
Self fixing Citroen, because french 😄
hope you all feel better soon,
Get well soon all of you. 🏴
Cup of coffee, watching hubnotes adding a bit of relief , as the country i live in is imploding....👍🤪👍
Love the thumbnail showing Elly with the 602 ‘time stamp’ in the bottom right corner. I’m sure this was meticulously edited and not just a coincidence 😅
Y all feel better soon 🥰
Yes old car have a soul..now its happy..and get well fast so you be happy to
There's an awful lot of colds going about, I've been sounding like Rod Stewart for about a week. Best wishes, Citroen sounding good.
If you can sing like him then you are quids in 😁
My Brother just came back from Spain...Same signs as you both..Yip took 3 days and tested Positive Covid
Been ill for a week, three negative COVID tests.
Love it when cars fix themselves.
Ah yes... the good old auto-healing in cars! 😂My Rovers loved to do that! Get well soon, HubNut family!
I hope you are all feeling better very soon. If you find out the magic that made Giselle fix herself you could make a fortune selling it to anyone with an old car, I have an 18 year old Ford Focus and I'd buy some in a heartbeat!
Your health comes first, both yours and the familys, we will always want you to put yourself first above content. When you're better we'll be right here for more adventures! Get well soon all, much love. ❤
Ahhh the Alternator has sorted itself out
Get well soon wishes to you all take care 👍👍👍
Irrelevant, but there *should* be km/h-only CityRover binnacles in existence as they were sold in Ireland after the metric cutover (Jan 05) until the end of sales. Not a legal requirement but pretty much every car manufacturer did it.
I had a cold in the start of this summer and it was hard to get rid off it took allmost a month it was no fun
Get well soon. Good luck with your clear out: you might find a complete car under all that junk, sorry paraphernalia!! All the best.
Typical cars, my MGTF started to misfire, tested everything under the sun before giving up and taking it to someone who had the proper teat equipment.
When I arrived at the garage I had a good hours wait to get the car in a workspace.
The missfire had stopped and everything tested out ok, the mechanic took the car on a good 1 hour multi speed run, still everything ok.
I got home ok, driving well, parked up then later in the day went out to visit the supermarket and she was coughing and spluttering once more.
Me thinks the car is upset with me and having a bit of a paddy
@HubNut was wondering if an unused grinder with various discs and a 4Litre bottle of Prestone coolant/antifreeze would be of use to you? Free to you !!
Thanks but I have a couple of grinders. I'm mostly too scared to use them...
@@hubnotes They Aren't so bad but would you like the coolant I am at the social so wouldn't be any trouble to put it my boot !
Sure! Always something that needs it. Thank you.
@@hubnotes No problem will see you soon !!
Hope you’re all feeling better soon. If you’re not getting better, don’t delay going to the doctor. I’ve had a horrendous cold & chest infection this year. 2 courses of antibiotics, a course of steroids and inhalers to get on top of it and I’m still not 100%!
Cheers. Pretty sure this one is just a cold. Just lingering!
You're so busy with videos, car fixing, family erc I'm not surprised you're immune system has taken a hit and the cracks showed in your last two GSA videos. Happens to us all. Pleased about Giselle. Rest up more. Drink tea and eat cake.
Video is 6:02 cc long 😉. Hope you all feel better soon.
Take care Ian
So your not feeling very well but. The cars are feeling better lol Get yourselfs better soon both
I feel your pain. I'm on round four of Covid so have lots of lovely cold symptoms plus no taste or smell (despite my best efforts to coax them back with cask strength Laphroaig). Hope you all recover soon.
I feel like Giselle is finding all of this very funny. Also I'm starting to wonder if Citroens dislike/ feel threatened by Miss Hubnut given that Bella, Ellie and Giselle all seem to behave much better when she is not there. Such mean girls.
Get well soon!
Giselle is enjoying the sun on her paintwork and playing nice…or is it Nice?
Get well soon
Random thought: (Again). Did the smaller engined GS's make a more warbley sound than the 1300?
They're a bit more revvy, but they need to be as they have less torque.
Have not looked but is there a portable jet wash with tank? 🤔
I have a jet wash and an Aquaroll. Maybe it's time to see if they're compatible...
Giselle was a self diagnostic and fixing car long before we even knew the term 😳 WHO KNEW 😂, Yeah Ian I do the same with my dirty laundry ? too save energy I’ve had it all on the line for 2 days of wind and rain 😁 pretty clean surprisingly and today’s sunshine ☀️ is drying it for free, but sadly my wife wouldn’t let me peg the kids on it 😉.
Take it easy Ian, health matters. I know as I'm terrible at taking my own advice. Giselle is an oddball to say the least, sometimes behaving and sometimes far from it with an open diagnosis. I think she's in a good mood at the time of recording. Don't we just love cars like this, tons of personality but never catch one if it's in a mardy mood.
Do you think magic elves come in at night when you’re not there and mend cars?😂😂. Hope you’re feeling better for the weekend 👍👍👍
How is the charging now with the headlamps on, and is the battery holding it's charge?
Around 14v.
🥇for effort👍.
Your health comes first ian
Yep you do look how you sound.....knackered. take it easy.
Wonder if the belt/pulley could have been misaglined before?
Maybe, though it was still noisy when I started her up before recording. Then suddenly it wasn't.
Watched this last night as a member only vlog 🤓🤔
Are you rain proof in there now mate ?
I hope you were joking when you mentioned about rain washing your car, it makes it more dirtier and is no good for your paint. Rather chuck a bucket of clean water over it than let the “rain” wash it 🤷♂️
Bloody cars. You can never count on a problem recurring when your trying to diagnose the problem it began with.
How's the Invacar!????
Last out here. Not moved since. ua-cam.com/video/y55X7-Bx-to/v-deo.htmlsi=BGejUvjZ8_uw77kZ
Managed to get a free ticket. ;) Hope yer all better by then.
Giselle must have thought....."He's suffered enough 👀😋".......Be well.
Are Giselle & Elly not mot exempt at 38 years old?
No. Exemption kicks in at 40.
AY UP MR HUBNUT
Kids back at school = Porton Down open day!
so wiring is suspect and youre worried about cleaning it??? errrrr............ ps the nasal is the brumoi lurgy no? itll go itll be reet
Giselle hear you were annoyed with her and decided to behave before she became an ex fleet member 😁
Is Giselle’s health inversely linked to your own? You unwell, Giselle mysteriously cured. It’s got a kind of Christine vibe, albeit French rather than Yank tank.
Giselle is a complicated lady, that's for sure... :P
I may very well pay you £20 to not send me any parts for a City Rover 😂
Get well soon!!!!
